This medication was offered and prescribed from my OBGYN to control the pain related with the endometriosis and to kill any endometriosis plaques outside of the endometrium before surgery as well as reduce the endometrioma size. At the time the medication was prescribed 9 months ago since now , I had a left endometrioma measured 7cm, a right ovary cyst measured 5cm and 5 uterine fibroids. Three mo...

I had horrible pain with uterine fibroids. I couldn't function for 1 week during my period and was pretty miserable a week or 2 leading up. I really only had 3-5 days out of a month that I felt good. I've been taking this med for 6 months. I go for my check up to see what the progress is this Wednesday. Hoping to have great results and continue putting off surgery!

I’ve been on this medication for 7mths. I have extremely heavy periods which has caused my hemoglobin levels to drop as low as 4.9 6 times within the last 3 years. I have received countless of blood transfusions and iron infusions. My obgyn recommended surgery and prior to having surgery she wanted to reduce or stop the bleeding. The medication did just that, I have not had a period since October. It was so effective I decided against surgery and decided to stay on the medication for 2 years which is the length one can take the med. Fast forward to 3/1 I started what I believe to be my period, I started off slow and within 24 hours it’s heavy with small to medium clots, I have cramps which have me balled up in a fetal position. After reading all the reviews, I too have extreme muscle pain in my lower back and hip area and my emotions are all over the place. I’m writing this review for help or advice. Should I be concerned with the bleeding or is it normal to have a period from time to time while on this medication Read More Read Less

Started about 2 1/2 months ago for heavy bleeding, pain and spotting related to fibroids. 1st 2 weeks was very rough. Period bleeding slowed down then picked up again with pain. Then I continued bleeding daily with cramping, had 1 week with no bleeding then ramped up again like a period. I’m trying to push through because although I am cramping, it is less intense. The bleeding is getting unbearable. I’m trying to make it to 6 months.

I took this medication for almost 7 months. My doctor prescribed it because of the pain from my endometriosis - I have deep pelvic endo that has invaded the colorectal area. I have already had one surgery and I'm trying to avoid a second surgery. I was never a heavy bleeder so my periods stopped almost immediately. I did have want seemed like a period or maybe blood clots come thru at about month 3. The pain/cramping from my endo was almost eliminated - I felt a little cramping but nothing like it had been before and I could take a couple ibuprofen and still function. Unfortunately, I decided to stop taking Myfembree because of the ridiculous side effects. At first it was just a couple headaches, then I started having trouble sleeping, then at about 3-4 months I started losing a significant amount of hair - hair everywhere!! After month 5, I was noticeably tired all the time - even though I work out and am a fairly active person - I could barely drag myself out of bed. I had a hard time recovering from workouts and would be sore much longer. And finally, I was so sad. Like I was crying about everything - I would think sad and dark thoughts constantly and the news cycle never helped. It's been 3 days since I've stopped and I'm already feeling better - like a fog has been lifted. I really think pharmaceutical companies and doctors need to figure out a better way of solving problems like endometriosis and fibroids (which are usually pain and bleeding) without causing more side effects and problems in their patients. It's a terrible trade off that I have to withstand the pain again, but I'd rather deal with the pain 2-3 days a month than deal with all of those side effects for the rest of the month and until who knows, menopause? I began this medication 8 days ago, I have uterine fibroids, I have had 2 D & C and ablations and the fibroids are still there and no change so I decided to take this medication that was a big mistake I began to bleed very heavy again with lots of blood clots horrible cramping in my abdomen and back I almost feel like i went back in time and feel worse now than before taking this medication. I have now decided to stop using this medication and go straight to a hysterectomy I can't see myself taking this medication and hoping I'm one of the lucky one that it works for. NOT FOR ME! I started this medication due to monthly heavy bleeding and fibroids. Initially this medication caused me to bleed heavy all of the time. To the point of light headedness and anemia. I decided to push through and continued it for 8 months. I finally stopped because now I constantly have either a light period or brown black sludge from my vagina. This had ruined any intimacy for me. I’m done.

I was prescribed this by my Dr to stop fibroid bleeding after bleeding for 34 days. After two weeks of taking it, bleeding finally slowed down to spotting or a light flow. Then it stopped for ONE week. After one good week, bleeding returned with a vengeance. I’m bleeding through TWO for of protection, aggressive pain from cramps, large clots, hot flashes and lower back pain. I want to stop taking this but I’m scared if I do, things will get worse and I’ll bleed for 34 days again. I’m just trying to hold out until my fibroid removal. Read More Read Less

This was prescribed to my by my obgyn. I’ve suffered with severe debilitating cramps and heavy heavy periods sense I was 15. Myfembree has gave me my life back. I have hot flashes and night sweats but I’ll take those over the pain and bleeding. I’ve been on myfembree for 3 months. I haven’t had my period sense starting. I’ve never been more thankful for a pill!

I started taking this medication June 23rd, first day of my cycle. Cycle was less heavy great…My cycle started up again on 7/20 and I’ve been bleeding ever since, many days it extremely light compared to prior to the medication. On some days I having bigger clots than I had prior to the medication. My OBGYN stated it should stop soon, however we are now into a month of breakthrough bleeding, I can’t even tell when my cycle actually started. I’ve also had the experience of headaches, and I already had high blood pressure but this has elevated, and my sex drove has completely vanished. I see my doctor in a few weeks and will be having the discussion to discontinue it.Read More Read Less

Started taking for uterine fibroids. It stopped my cycle completely. No breakthrough bleeding. The 1st six months were great. It gave me some quality of life back but my blood pressure started to creep up and as did my anxiety. Month 7, blood pressure started to spike to stroke stage. After a trip to the emergency room and no "smoking gun" on the blood pressure spike, this medication was the only script I was taking. Currently suffering from anxiety hangover now. I have stopped taking this medication. Will be returning to my OBGYN to consult on fibroid condition and possible surgery to remove and eliminate the fibroids for good.Read More Read Less

I started this med last period (28 days ago). I had extremely bad lower back pain along with worse abdominal pain. Felt like I was in labor. I’ve had flu like symptoms…achy joints, extremely tired, weak, headaches, mood changes, anxiety, hot flashes, chills, tooth pain, sleep changes, nausea and appetite changes. I was told this would subside within 2 weeks. My 1st period on the medication seemed worse and longer. Fast forward and I should’ve started my 2nd period while taking the medicine. So far I’ve only had spotting with dark blood. Twice today I’ve wound up on the floor balled up in pain. 2 days ago when I should’ve started I had the most intense pain like when I first started it with all the labor type pain (lower back and lower abdomen). I was given this as my ONLY option but when the dr heard how it was going proceed to tell me it’s not for everyone, we may have to find something different. I’ve called the manufacturer but they are limited in their knowledge and what you should do or what others have done. I was going to try to stay on the med (even though I really didn’t want to be on hormones) until I see a dr about removing my fibroid and actually telling me if I have endometriosis instead of guessing like my current provider. No I don’t recommend this medicine. I think providers are pushing it on patients because of some kickbacks they must be receiving. Read More Read Less

I've taken it for 3 months. Had no relief for the 1st month, significant relief for the 2nd, and the absolute worst period of my life for the 3rd. Unbearable cramping with enormous clots (w/ fever, sweating), extremely heavy bleeding, fatigue. Also hair thinning, PMS like depression all the time, occasional headaches out of nowhere. It was also very expensive and I only had minimal, temporary relief. Lysteda (tranexamic acid) was cheaper and worked better. Extensive disappointed with MyFembree. Read More Read Less

At the time the medication was prescribed 9 months ago since now , I had a left endometrioma measured 7cm, a right ovary cyst measured 5cm and 5 uterine fibroids. Three months ago of using Myfembree the right ovary cyst had disappear and 8 months ago 3 of the 5 fibroids disappeared and the left endometrioma decreased in size from 7 to 6.2cm. I will continue using the medication for 3 months until complete the year. Pain from endometriosis had been controlled definitely but the side effects had been so bad including anxiety, heart palpitations, dizziness , faintness sensation, legs cramps, generalized muscle aches, mild shortness of breath that had happened at least once a day or had been days that been going without it. My LMP was 9 months ago since started taking the med. Side effects had been so bad but Im planning to finish the cycle. The benefits of the med outweigh the risks. Hope this review help. I'm just about finished with my second month of taking the medication, and my period has stopped completely but if I miss a dose my period comes back. Look like there could be some clotting this morning, definitely time to check with the doctor about this.

Prior to Myfembree, my periods were extremely heavy, lasted two weeks, and very painful. I often had to call into work sick for two days a month during the heaviest of the bleeding, and I work from home, but I couldn’t even do computer work. I was in debilitating pain, and I’m allergic to ibuprofen, so there was no help in sight. I started taking Myfembree, and the first month was very inconsistent and frustrating. I had breakthrough bleeding and bled or spotted for almost the whole month but the pain wasn’t bad after the first couple weeks. I still almost quit the medication because I definitely did not want to be bleeding off and on the whole month. Now I’m into month 2, and I finally evened out. No irregular spotting, no cramps off cycle. I then started my period on time and it’s light and I have very mild cramps, I’m able to work and travel. I am being cautious though, as I’m only in the second month. But so far, so good. I think consistency is the key and definitely taking it on time every day. Getting past the first month (for me) was the hardest. I’ll review again at 6 months.Read More Read Less

Myfembree has been a miracle for me! After suffering with extremely heavy periods and severe anemia for years, I now have relief!. It completely stopped my hemorrhagic periods and cramping.
