This is so easy! I could never keep the liquid prep down and thus would mess up my procedure. I'm so happy as I need to have a colonoscopy every three years and I dreaded the prep.Thank You!!

Please check your insurance coverage for this product! My insurance does not cover it and it would cost me $182 out of pocket! Too much on a fixed income. To be fair, I did not use this product. When the nurse was going over the instructions with me, I listened to the night-before instructions and the spacing of the tablets and 3/4 gallon of water. I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at ...

I started the 12 pills at 5:00. Followed the instructions completely. By 7:00, with another 16 oz. left to drink, I was so bloated and in pain there was no way I could drink another drop of water. Continued in pain with no bowel movement whatsoever. Had to get rid of the pain and bloating, so I used a Fleets Enema. It started the process of bowel movement finally. I will not put myself through the 12 pills left for tomorrow morning. Am going to have to cancel my colonoscopy scheduled for tomorrow. Way too much pain and bloating using Sutabs. Not to mention a waste of money.Read More Read Less

prescribed for colonoscopy along with zofran , took zofran 1.5 hours before each cycle, timed the sutabs for one pill every 3 minutes . had no real issues, minor nausea for a few minuets at around 30 minuets after completion of all 12 pills. best prep by fare , had 3 prior scopes all with the gallon of death. pills are easy to swallow . I do believe thou the zofran was the key.

I gave an review last night as I was prepping and the pills worked BUT today after my colostomy my Doctor told me that the entrance of my small intestine still was still full and he showed pictures. Sure enough from 3 days ago I had peas and there they were!
So he said I have to come back in a year to do this again and I will need to use a stronger prep.
I do have a lazy colon but this was the first time in the past 20 years that I had such an issue.

After reading some of the negative reviews I was worried about this medication.
But I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. No issues what so ever. As a female I had no issue with the pill size or drinking that much water. I normally drink a great deal of water anyway so it was a piece of cake.

So much better than the liquid prep, which makes me vomit. Take each dose of 12 pills spaced 1 minute 20 seconds apart to finish within the 20 minute window. Walk around alot during that time and you'll be golden... no nausea at all, both doses. So worth the $60 I had to pay and it will be my go to next time around.

So much better! Liquid preps make me vomit so I opted to try Sutab. The pills are large so if you have a hard time with that I wouldn't recommend. I took a Zofran an hour before each dose and had no nausea at all. They work really fast too so be prepared!

I’m a 47 y/o 148lb woman with excellent health condition not taking any medication at all nor any know health condition. This prep got me really sick. Within 30 minutes after taking the first bottle of 12 tablets I violently vomit all the fluid I took for the pills and more. I was forewarned about need to be really hydrated before taking this medication. The day before I have a diet high in fluid to a point I got to wake up 4 times to urinate at bedtime. Normally I do not need to wake up in the middle of the night to urinate. I also drink enough fluid in the morning and even more than what is suggested by the instructions but the headaches and dizziness set in within 2 hours. My BP dropped to 80/67. My normal BP is 116/80. I was so tired and have to lay down. I even checked if I’m dehydrated by weighing before taking the first pill and after the sickness started. In fact, I should not be considered dehydrated because I weighed 2lbs more before I took the first pill. My urine was clear with light yellow color. This headache and dizziness does not go away before I need to start the 2nd bottle of 12 pills. I did not have issues with stomach cramps but the headache and dizziness is so severe that I have a hard time to sleep. I did notice sipping electrolytes does help so after the 2nd bottle, I continuous sipping of the 48oz electrolytes beside the recommended additional 32oz of fluid. I was glad the headache and dizziness finally went away after the procedure. Read More Read Less

Please oh please opt for the traditional liquid prep. These pills are awful. Here’s how it went: I was told to take 2 Dulcolax tablets at 3pm, start the first dose of Sutab at 5pm, then the second dose at 3:30am to prepare for an 8:30am colonoscopy. Taking the tablets is difficult simply because of how enormous they are, how many you have to take, and how much water you need to get them down (no way each one was going down with a “sip”). Then came the nausea, bloating, and headache. 2.5 hours in, the bathroom trips started AND THEY NEVER STOPPED. I continued to be back and forth from the bathroom (with nausea/bloating, headache, and now chills and increased heart rate) all the way until I was supposed to start the second dose (I’m barely 90lbs by the way, and I’m taking the same amount as people who are 250lbs?) I called the on-call doctor and he said to go forward with the second dose even though I hadn’t stopped yellow-liquid-pooping 8 hours after the first dose. Somehow I made it through the next 12 pills but with WAY more severe headache, nausea, bloating, and chills. I continued having liquid bowel movements which then got more intense by 5am and went right on through till I was at the office at 8:30am. I had another liquid go of it 5 minutes before they put me out with anesthesia. So, if anyone’s counting, that’s 13.5 HOURS of nonstop diarrhea accompanied by the greatest full-body discomfort I’ve ever experienced. Getting anesthetized after no sleep, severe dehydration from liquid-pooping for over a dozen hours, and a high volume of serious chemicals being pumped into your body is not the best. BP dropped to 81/43 during the procedure. Now a day later I’m surprised to be functioning at all. I have never left a review for anything in my life, but this was so awful, I just had to in the hopes that it might persuade even one person to opt for the traditional liquid prep instead of Sutab pills.Read More Read Less

I have put off having my routine colonoscopy for almost 3 years because of the prep. I have horrible vomiting with the liquid preps so when my doctor told me about Sutab I was so happy. My insurance ended up paying for it, which surprised me, but I was more than willing to pay the full cost if I didn’t have to drink the prep. My experience was exceptionally good. I had read reviews before I needed to start and the one thing that stood out to me was to start eating lighter a few days before your prep. My doctor also recommended I use Miralax for a few days beforehand. Half an hour before taking the pills I took anti-nausea medication then took the 12 pills over 15 minutes. The bowel movements started about 30 minutes later. I had no side effects at all other than a full stomach from the water. I did the same thing for my second round of pills and again, no issues. While I understand the Sutab does not work for everyone, I was very lucky and had a great experience with it. I do think following the advice of the review I read helped a lot. The pills are rather large, but I found they were no problem to get down. Read More Read Less

So with all the negative reviews on here, let me say that I had no major problems… After about 1 hour, the water started going right through me – cleaning me out. No major rush to bathroom, just belly rumblings telling me get ready… All the water was finished going through me about an hour after the last round of water.
BUT here is what I would recommend
1) I am 59M & 188 lbs. I must admit, it was difficult taking in so much water. It was not the pills that were a problem, but all that water. So if you are a tiny person – it may be more difficult. Maybe that is why some feel nauseous. But once you start “going” – you feel less bloated.
2) Get a BIDET! I had installed one in my bathroom a few months ago (not for this reason) and it worked wonders. It basically showers your “spot” so no rubbing or toilet paper needed. I cannot imagine “wiping” so many times with these pills. If you cannot install one – then buy a portable one. They are like $10 at Walmart for the cheap ones. Trust me –your bottom will thank you.

20 minutes after taking the pills during both doses I ended up vomiting, I was vomiting so hard I had blood in it. In total between the two doses I ended up vomiting about 10 different times. I only had a few bowel movements, however I did end up having a clean colon when they did the colonoscopy. I’m only 23 and this was very hard on my body, I can’t imagine being older and having this experience. I won’t be using this pill in the future.

This was my fifth colonoscopy and my first time using sutab. I had no nausea or vomiting. The only side effect I noticed was small stomach discomfort. I took one pill every 90 seconds with a sip of water plus followed with the drinking of additional water as directed. I think this might have made the difference over taking all twelve pills at once.
Overall this was much better than drinking a gallon of miralax the day before followed by magnesium citrate the morning of the procedure. I would use sutab again over other options. Highly recommended. There was a coupon online so I only paid $40 for this medication. Read More Read Less

This is a violent way to prepare for a colonoscopy! Although we all hate the giant jug of liquid, Sutab pills are a harsh way to get the result. My husband has been nauseated (including vomiting) and miserable since starting the prep. I’m sure in the end the result will be satisfactory but don’t kid yourself— this is not a faster, easier way to get there. Definitely not recommended.

Easy prep! Easy to swallow pills (as long as you can handle large pills), no nausea, no vomiting and no cramping. I know some people feel sick with this drug and I was a bit hesitant, however, it was so easy I will use them again next time.

The doctor determined the Sutab prep did not work as it claimed and therefore I have to go back through a prep and colonoscopy again because the colonoscopy could not be completed.

I am happy this has worked for some people. That is great.
I still feel I need to let people know what happened I used this medication yesterday to start preparation for a colonoscopy. 15 minutes after I took the medication my heart beat very fast, my throat hurt very badly, and I couldn’t talk. I suddenly had laryngitis. The fast beating of my heart so down about an hour later.
I continued to take the next dose so that I could get the colonoscopy.
I spent six hours in the bathroom after the first dose constantly, and then I spent five hours after the second dose in the bathroom Again. .
I went on and had the colonoscopy and it went well, thankfully, with positive results.
However…
When I returned home, about an hour later, I ate some soup. After 5 spoonfuls of chicken noodle soup, the temperature was not hot, my throat burned, excruciating pain.
I stopped eating, and called the dr. The nurse said this was normal, just go on eating normally. The burning was so bad! But it eventually went away about 20 minutes later. Water did not help.
About an hour after that, I ate soda crackers. The first two were fine but the third one burned again. My mouth and my throat especially was on fire and burned Very very painfully.
Again, after about 20 minutes and pain did go away.
I did not eat until about five hours later I had one small thin piece of pizza. Nothing hot or spicy. My forth bite again my mouth burned and oh my gosh my throat burned even worse. Worse than earlier. It burned very, very excruciating. It brought tears to my eyes and just hurt immensely.
I called the pharmacist, and he said there is nothing that says that should happen. He asked me if I take other medication I do not. He asked me if I had anything spicy. I did not, nor do I eat spicy food. I have not done anything unusual, or that would cause that to happen. It happened right after I took the first dose.
He told me to consult my doctor.
I hope this does not happen to anyone else. It is very awful. There is so much pain. I’m not sure how I can compare it to anything it’s not spicy like hot food it’s hot hot burning it’s awful so I just want to know if this happens to anyone else? But I also want people to be aware and cautious. Thank you.
in closing, I want to say if you have a hard time getting to the bathroom fast and immediately, this is a very difficult drug to take. It will cause instant fast urgent need to go straight to the toilet. Plan to be in the restroom for an hours. Read More Read Less

Soft food 3 days before prep, all liquids leading to pm split dose. Chicken broth while working. Start prep 6 pm. Had 66 oz water prior. Constipation is my issue. Had zofran 30 min before each prep. Easy but no BM til 4 am. Gut distended. Maybe I have block. Did 2nd round. Felt unwell, lack of sleep. Set timer every 3 min to take pill. Drank chamomile tea if nausea came up. Slept, lay on couch, heating pad, pat rectum, don't wipe. 6 :30 am feel good. Far better than liquid, just took way longer which made me anxious. Prefer no split prep but worked. Prolly better if not split. Hot tea help dissolve pill faster. Without nausea med likely to get sick. Far less disgusting than liquid prep. Having camera capsule. All liquid, peeing out my bum. These bowel preps are torture but I cant drink the prep without gagging and near vomiting the whole time so for me this is best. Get anti nausea meds. I asked for it after reading reviews. Would not have done well without it. ??Read More Read Less
