This is so easy! I could never keep the liquid prep down and thus would mess up my procedure. I'm so happy as I need to have a colonoscopy every three years and I dreaded the prep.Thank You!!

Please check your insurance coverage for this product! My insurance does not cover it and it would cost me $182 out of pocket! Too much on a fixed income. To be fair, I did not use this product. When the nurse was going over the instructions with me, I listened to the night-before instructions and the spacing of the tablets and 3/4 gallon of water. I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at ...

Reading the reviews scared me and I almost wasn’t going to give this a shot, so I wanted to share my positive experience. This was piece of cake! Much easier than the liquid preps. I started at 5pm, taking one pill every 4 minutes. Within half hour to 45 minutes it had started working and that lasted a couple of hours on and off. At 5am, I started the second set of pills following the same process with the same results. I did not experience any discomfort aside from a brief period of nausea that passed within minutes. I plan to use this prep for all future colonoscopy procedures. Read More Read Less

Started the Sutab prep at 5pm. Took all 12 tabs in 15-20 minutes. Followed all directions. Within 15 minutes after taking last tab I was violently ill. Could not stop vomiting. The sodium in the product was burning my esophagus on the way up. Vomiting is not new to me but this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. This was also my 3rd colonoscopy (or supposed to be). Never had a problem before. This time I had to cancel. NO WAY was I taking the other 12 tabs. HORRIBLE. I sear I thought I had ingested rat poison. NEVER AGAIN!!Read More Read Less

After reading so many negative reviews, I was nervous taking this before my colonoscopy. Overall it went well. I followed the exact directions (including low fiber low residue diet beforehand). I experienced no nausea at all and no side effects. I took the 12 pills exactly 3.5 minutes apart, each with a little water (supposed to spread out the first 16oz of water evenly amongst the 12 pills). I set the timer and an hour later had another 16oz (over like 20 minutes didnt chug) as directed. The first poops started during this time, so about 75 minutes after my first pill. From there, it was back and forth to toilet as poop got more watery as it went along. Though it slowed down in frequency after 4 hours or so, my tummy still would get rumbly and have to go poop even 8 or 9 hours after first pill. I didn't sleep much. Started the 2nd batch of pills 4am this morn before 10am colonoscopy. I should've started an hour earlier (nearly pooped myself in traffic at 8am) but again no side effects. I followed the directions exactly and would use again. Luckily, my next is 10 years off unless something changes. Advice by cottonelle moist wipes and try and get butt cleaned well and fast each time. The digestive juices really irritated butthole after awhile. Sorry for the tmi. I took 1 star off for pill because poops lasted several hours after taking so couldn't sleep. But it cleaned me out well.Read More Read Less

I am a 60 year old female and I have a healthy, natural diet and keep well-hydrated. This was to be my third colonoscopy. I hated the drinks, so was happy to try pills...however...after following the instructions exactly, about 20 minutes after taking the first round of pills, I became nauseous, and then began violently vomiting and dry heaving after all my stomach contents were gone. I began shaking and had chills, headache and my chest and throat were in pain. I called my Doctor and he postponed my procedure. At this point, I find it difficult to even think of prepping for another colonoscopy (although it has to be done). The following day, I still felt sick, could hardly eat, and had no energy. My gut still ached. All this, and no bowel movement! I really feel that more research should be done on who can safely use SUTAB and who should not. Read More Read Less

Now a month later i am having problems i never had before taking these SuTab pills. Ive had colonospy before and no problem at all. Please research these pills before using them and read lots of reviews. I have had many surgerys but no medicine has ever effected me like this one.

Don't be scared by the negative reviews. Sutab was a piece of cake for me when doing colonoscopy prep. Some things I did that I think helped: 1) ate bland diet 4 days leading up to colonoscopy 2) upped my water intake those 4 days too 3) on the clear liquids only day, I consumed a ton of water from the time I woke up. By the time I began prep around 6:30 that evening, I was already very hydrated. 4) got my doctor to call in a prescription for the anti-nausea drug Zofran. I took 2 pills one hour before beginning each bottle of Sutab pills 5) spaced the Sutab pills 3 minutes apart, which meant I got through a bottle in 36 minutes. They say do it in 15-20 but this is a main reason people have side effects, I hear All you have to drink with Sutab is water. The amount of water required was not bad at all. At no point did I feel overwhelmed by the volume or like I couldn't manage to drink any more. It was actually quite easy. (I used a straw which helped I think). I experienced some very mild nausea about a half hour to hour after consuming each bottle of pills but it only lasted at most 30-45 minutes each time. I never felt as though I was going to vomit, just a slightly queasy feeling that passed quickly. I'm familiar with Go Lytely and this is far better! Read More Read Less

I have a slow system and I normally take 2 days to "clean out" This time I was told one day and use Sutabs. It was SUPER..no yucky salty drink and my doctor said I was cleaned out nicely. I am a colon cancer survivor and its important to be clean so the doctor sees everything well. I am beyond thrilled. I felt great from the first pill to the last and through the colonoscopy!

I have colonoscopies every 2 yrs and I have tried all the preps! This one by far was one of the easiest. The pills are big but no problem for me. I did get a bit of nausea about 30 min into finishing but drinking Sprite and walking around got rid of it. Nothing like the nausea I experience with liquid preps. Also the movements came much quicker (within an hr) and were over in about 3 hrs. I did have gas and bloating but it passes after the colonoscopy

Much easier than the other method. I don’t mind taking pills so I didn’t have issues with that and took my time so no nausea. The really nice part is the prep stopped so I could sleep the other method kept me up all night. I will use this again. Don’t let the negative reviews scare you. See for yourself

I had the worse experience with the tablets. I was violently sick, vomiting for hours needless to say since I vomited everything up my colonoscopy had to be rescheduled. I would never recommend this prep to anyone.

The pills are large and may be difficult for some to swallow. Not my issue. I did all instructed prep work including bland diet and liquid. But I must have slow digestion, the pills cause stomach discomfort, bloat, and nausea. I chewed ginger gum which relieved my distress. But sadly nothing occurred, nada. I waited until 7 hours and 3 hours prior to Dr instruction for next dosage. Glad I did that because the looseness started and lasted for five hours after second dose. Unfortunately, it never turned to semi clear vacating which required my Doc to reschedule the procedure. In reading the reviews, this product is ineffective, but insurance has decided this is their preferred prep, whether it’s effective or not. Please healthcare providers start advocating for your patients and use effective medication rather than insurance approved meds. Read More Read Less

I put off having a colonoscopy for years because friends had shared how horrible and difficult it was for them to force themselves to drink the disgusting drink required in prep. The tablets made this incredibly easy. Yeah, I lost some sleep and made sure I was close to a bathroom, but this was far easier than I had imagined. About 15 minutes after finishing the pills, I had a bit of an upset stomach and light nausea which lasted about 1/2 hour each time. Other than that, it was smooth.

Major nausea the only way I kept the first 12 pills down was because I had some soup broth just before..I had to take the second 12 pills at 3:30 am due to my scheduled time and 2 hrs into all the water I barfed big time. Not sure if I still have pills in me now.

I wound up in the hospital with extreme inflammation, dehydration and 4 months later I am still dealing with inflammation. The prep was taken as prescribed and did not clean me out all the way for the procedure. I have had many colonoscopies done due to having had colon cancer many years ago and this stuff was vile.I also had low blood pressure all my life and thanks to this I now take blood pressure medicine.
