This is so easy! I could never keep the liquid prep down and thus would mess up my procedure. I'm so happy as I need to have a colonoscopy every three years and I dreaded the prep.Thank You!!

Please check your insurance coverage for this product! My insurance does not cover it and it would cost me $182 out of pocket! Too much on a fixed income. To be fair, I did not use this product. When the nurse was going over the instructions with me, I listened to the night-before instructions and the spacing of the tablets and 3/4 gallon of water. I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at ...

I never share reviews but the reviews for Sutab were so scary, I wanted to put my positive experience. I was scared taking this because of reviews. I took Zofran anti-nausea with each dose and I was fine. You swallow the pills with 3 bottles of water and that’s it. It was easy. No taste at all! Never nauseous and doctor said I was cleaned out! I never did liquid prep, but this was easy. No cramps or nausea! Don’t be scared of other reviews! I would ask for this again without a doubt!

This was my first Colonoscopy so i have nothing to compare it to. day prior to prep I was experiencing constipation. it was recommended take a light laxative. I also made sure I was well hydrated the day before prep. ( 64 oz of fluid, 32 Gatorade, 32 oz of lemonade) drank all day. Day of prep- All day before prep drank again 32 oz of Gatorade, 32 oz of lemonade. first round of prep. 5pm( reviewed process with pharmacist before altering,I was concerned with getting nauseous from taking the pills so quickly) consumed the pills over a 45 min period slowing down to let them settle, but also consumed more fluids than recommended. 32 oz also within the 45 mins. Pharmacist said this would be fine as long as I consumed all the pills. then continued to drink required fluid amount as needed after. Product began to work within 45 mins. No nausea, no gas. many trips to the bathroom, but no discomfort whatsoever. before second round drank another 32 oz of Gatorade. between 9pm and 1am. At 130am began second round, same process as first round, drank 32 ounces and consumed pills over 45/ 1 hour period. No Nausea or gas. due to the time, annoyed because i just wanted to sleep and trips to the bathroom were getting in the way of that. LOL Fell asleep around 3am. no accidents etc while sleeping- the worst was over at that point. my procedure was at 8:30am and I was due at the hospital at 6:30am- I am not a doctor, but I believe the reason so many people have adverse reactions due to lack of hydration. why I drank more than the required amount. and pharmacist stated it would make the process easier on my body, But I could be wrong as everyone is different and can react differently to medications regardless. Per my doctor, my prep was excellent. and i was running clear well before the first round was over. I will have to have another Colonoscopy in 3 years. What I liked about this product is that I could choose the liquid I wanted to hydrate, verses the liquid prep that is not so tasty from what I hear. I will request this product for the next one. Far less painless than I thought it would be. Regardless of the product you use. Get this done, they found 2 very large Polyps- at the end of the day, I would rather go thru the inconvenience of this procedure, than get Cancer. Read More Read Less

It was literally easy as could be. I started a low-residue diet 2 days before prep and I stood up and moved around a little while taking the pills and drinking the water. Not jumping jacks- just fold laundry or something. No nausea. When they start to work, it just feels like a fart coming. Do not let that fart out unless you are on a toilet!! Lots of water comes out which feels weird but is not horrible. No cramping. I repeated this 6 hours later and had maybe a bit more nausea but only for 10 minutes. Drink the water! Supplement with electrolytes (a little Gatorade mixed in so you get just a bit of sugar to keep you going). Second round worked faster and then all done!! If you are fairly healthy and this is just a screening colonoscopy it will be just fine. Don't hit the Chinese buffet the night before and expect this to go as easily!!!! Read More Read Less

I took to tablets per my doctor's strong recommendation of Sutab. I was nauseated for round 2 to the pint I could not take the second 16 oz. of water . I started round 2 at 10:30 and did not get to sleep until 3 am! I was still nauseated and bloated in the morning. This is not a gentle product!

Use as colonoscopy prep. Instructions are a bit complicated but I had no ill effects from the prep, which was completed in about the expected time. My colon was totally clean!

I payed 70 dollars for this medicine thinking it would be better that the liquid prep and it didn’t work at all. Followed the directions perfectly and no bm at all. It made me extremely nauseated too.

I did some research on patient experience before taking my first dose. I was fully expecting to have some nausea. At 5pm, I took the first 12 pills with water over a 15 minute period as instructed. Within an hour the nausea started and I was prepared to tough it out. Within 90 minutes, I emptied the entire contents of my stomach by vomiting. at that point I was concerned that I may have dumped most fo the medication. 5 hours later, a bit of stomach grumbling but no bowel movements! I am fairly certain I will need to abort my colonoscopy tomorrow. I don’t feel comfortable not having any movement before round 2. Very disappointed and I read one review that the GI doctor prescribed an anti-nausea med. With 52% of the phase 2 participants having nausea, seems like a good idea.Read More Read Less

These are large pills and I needed twice as much water as recommended to swallow them. The first round went ok. I threw up the second round 45 minutes after taking the pills. Fortunately I was ok for the colonoscopy.

Had to cancel my colonoscopy scheduled for 10am this morning. I took the 12 pills and water per the instructions starting at 4pm yesterday. Pills were large but went down fine and didn't have any problems with the water which was a huge plus over the Miralax/Gatorade mix. Skip ahead a few hours. I had vomiting like I have never had before. 2 hrs of vomiting and dry heaving, sweating, chills, my head felt like it was going to explode. I have never been so scared. This medicine may be great for some but if you do have problems with it beware. At 10pm I couldn't even keep down a sip of water. My husband called the dr and we had to cancel the procedure so went through all that for nothing. Today I am so sore, my ribs kill from the straining, I have broken blood vessels all over my face and a black and blue eye not to mention exhausted. I didn't want to write this review as there can be many positive experiences yet you only hear often about the negative but my reaction was so violent that I worry this medicine can really be dangerous to some. *This is not covered by insurance I paid $40.* This was my very first prep and it was not bad. The pills are large but not too difficult to swallow. You have to drink 16oz when you take the pills which I did at 6pm, 16oz an hour later, and then another 16oz 30 minutes after that. The third cup was harder to get down, I was nauseous because all I had eaten in about 12 hours was 12 pills and lots of water. I had a headache that wasn't severe but uncomfortable. No cramping at all. I had results in exactly 1 hour, I drank my second cup while on the toilet. It wasn't explosive or violent, I didn't have any accidents, I just stayed close to the bathroom. I went to bed around 10pm and slept until about 4am when I got up to use the bathroom, no accidents and I was "clear". I took the second dose at 6am. No significant action but I was clear already. My procedures were around 1pm. It's now about 6pm and my headache is very mild. No cramping, still having watery but controllable BMs, and would absolutely use this again and recommend to others.Read More Read Less

This was my first experience with the Sutab prep. The benefits are significant with easily taking pills with water , albeit a total of 24 for the split dosage prep. There was no nasty solution involved . I will note that I was prescribed an anti- nausea med that I took with each cycle of the prep to avoid any nausea. I had no adverse reaction. My colonoscopy was scheduled for 10am. My instructions were to start prep at 6pm with second round to occur around 3am. I did not follow those instructions as I prefer to complete the entire cleansing so I can sleep. I took my first round of pills at 3pm. I did not begin to feel the effects for over 3 hours. When it began, it was without any significant cramping or any abnormal issues. The second round was taken around 8:30pm. I will say that by then, the urgency was significant and you MUST be close to a toilet. It continued until about 11pm or so but I was clean. The results of my colonoscopy was excellent with my gastroenterologist being able to see and scope everything to his satisfaction. Read More Read Less

I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at all. Then when she said I'd have to repeat it again 4 hours before the procedure, I had to decline this method. I have MS and bladder problems is part of my disease. I'm on medication for that (along with a boatload of other MS meds). When she said I'd be drinking another 3/4 of a gallon 4 hours before the procedure, I told her that I would literally be peeing all over the procedure table. We're going with the Miralax/Gatorade method. I've had several colonoscopies in my life and it seems every time, a different cleansing procedure is recommended. I did the the best as far as results and comfort levels by drinking the little bottles of Fleet Phospho Soda, but I don't think they recommend that anymore. Sure would be cheaper than almost $200!Read More Read Less

I'm the type who has reactions to basically every medicine. I cant handle much... Was nervous to have the colonoscopy / endoscope... I'm 31... Let me start by saying I had literally no side effects (except obviously using the bathroom a ton). Amazing product... I drank about 4-5 bottles of water and chugged / sipped Pedialite in the morning before starting prep. My instructions where to take the 12 pills at 5pm and another 12 pills at 10pm. I personally started at 4pm and then again at 9pm instead of the 5pmand 10pm. Reason being I didn't want to be up all night using the bathroom or waking up int he middle of the night etc. Honestly, next time I have to do this prep... I'll do 2 or 3pm and start the first 12 pills then... and then 7or 8pm for the next... Make sure you're drinking lots of water/gatorade/popsicles/shaved italin ice/ and jello. It did kind of suck by the end of the day though its not super bad. I had no vomitting, no upset stomach, just had to use the bathroom about 45 mins after taking the pills. And that lasted a good 2 hours after that... I was scared after reading the reviews on here... but I can promise... someone as sensitive as me handled it amazing... you definitly can too. Just take the pills with a sip of water and forget about it. Wish you all the best. I'll def be using sutab again for all future colonoscopies. Just flat awesome. Read More Read Less

I hated the drink - no matter what “tips” I used to make it easier I ended up gagging and throw up half of it. Enter my next colonoscopy and the nurse practitioner suggested I try this. First up it’s a lot of pills and after the first 6 or so you might find you feel like you forgot how to swallow things lol. Took about 3h for them to work (similar timeframe to the drink version). When it started it was the same super explosive cleaning out everyone goes through but I felt like it was over sooner but maybe a little more intense. Second set taken early early morning - only took about an hour to work this time and was mostly just liquid. Colonoscopy report stated “prep was good”so seems to do the same as the liquid just takes out the horrible tasting liquid that makes you gag. Had a slight headache and minor nausea BUT that was from lack of food and coffee and has happened every time I’ve fasted so can’t blame the pills. Have to take a half dose next month to do a pill cam of the small intestine and for once not really dreading it and stressing already like I did with the liquid. Read More Read Less

Started throwing up sutab 1/2 hour after taking first dose. Same thing happened after second dose, except it was more forceful with some bleeding. Had to cancel procedure because medication wouldn’t work.

I took my first dose at 7:30 pm It is now 1:20 am and I am still running back and forth to the restroom and my bowels have been running clear since 9:30 pm. When will it stop I keep wondering. I’ve been horribly nauseous and vomiting profusely. It’s given me a massive migraine. My bottom is so irritated and I’ve been using zinc oxide cream all night. I am completely terrified to take the morning dose. I’ve been having severe heart palpitations, to the point my chest has been hurting. I would Never recommend anyone take these pills. I’d rather drink the nasty drink I had to drink 12 years ago than take these pills again, and that was a gallon of nastiness. I was told back then I needed to have a colonoscopy every year but I have been without insurance up until recently, so this is something I have to have done often, and I know I will definitely make sure they do not prescribe these to me again. I am miserable, sick and in pain. Read More Read Less

I had a severe reaction to these pills. Basically passed out and had family call 911 bc I couldn’t move or speak. Sweater profusely. Taken to hospital feeling completely nauseous and unable to speak or move. Had to have intravenous liquid and anti nausea meds. Better after 3 hrs- traumatic experiences. I am 58 and never went to hospital other than to give birth. All anyone could say is that I had bad reaction to meds. Never ever take this medicine.

These horrible giant pills made me uncontrollably vomit for several hours. They were more challenging to take because they are huge and I have spent over 24 hours in complete misery since swallowing them. And they failed to completely empty my bowels for my colonoscopy. I will never take them again and wish I had just stuck with the liquid. They caused incontinence and over 24 hours after taking them I am still experiencing explosive diarrhea. I almost had to go to the ER after taking them and cancel my colonoscopy because I could not even drink water without throwing up and I became severely dehydrated. Pharmacists should be handing out adult diapers with every prescription. Sutab causes leaky and explosive uncontrollable diarrhea. I am horrified this awful medication was approved by the FDA.Read More Read Less

I was clean after the first round of 12 pills. Took the second round at 2 AM per timing instructions and the results were violent and horrific. The expulsions were so intense that my anus prolapsed. I am recommending EVERYONE stay away from this bowel prep.
