This is so easy! I could never keep the liquid prep down and thus would mess up my procedure. I'm so happy as I need to have a colonoscopy every three years and I dreaded the prep.Thank You!!

Please check your insurance coverage for this product! My insurance does not cover it and it would cost me $182 out of pocket! Too much on a fixed income. To be fair, I did not use this product. When the nurse was going over the instructions with me, I listened to the night-before instructions and the spacing of the tablets and 3/4 gallon of water. I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at ...

Beginning with 1st bottle at 530pm, my bowel movements began 3 hours later. I developed a headache, runny nose, nausea, sweating, chills and very week. My blood pressure was elevated, too. The 2nd bottle made me feel the same way. I did not sleep at all and felt out of sorts. Although, Sutab did it's job and I don't have any complaints, it did wear you out very quickly. I continued to be cold, hot, clammy and could not focus clearly. I maybe got an hour of sleep and was fading fast. I felt weak and the drive to the Dr for colonoscopy seemed to take forever because of how I felt. I certainly would take Sutab again, as it worked personally for me. Everyones body handles meds differently, so I kept that in mind. Glad this option was made available to me. I even got assistance to pay only $40 for the meds. Colonoscopy procedures are dreaded and necessary as we age. I have no regrets.Read More Read Less

The first dose was easy to take and worked well. I had to use the bathroom more than expected, which is positive, considering the circumstances. However, I was instructed to take the 2nd dose at 3 am before my 1pm appointment, and I’ve been up since 3 am vomiting. The nausea this product has caused is concerning. Please be careful if you are prescribed Sutab.

Read the reviews and had concerns, but for me, it worked well. The pills were far easier to take than the liquid, and like it or not, it did the job it was supposed to. No side effects like nausea.

This is the worst prep I’ve ever been prescribed. I experienced severe vomiting for hours on end, where I never slept the night before my procedure, chest tightness/heaviness/wheezing, I developed dehydration, extreme kidney pain, uncontrollable body shaking/trembling, skin burning/itching with redness as if I had a sunburn, sweats that soaked my clothes and hair, ulcerated throat and rectum, peeling of lips and inside of mouth. Taking Sutab prep for me was a nightmare, and left me questioning if had an allergic reaction to the product? Unacceptable! Read More Read Less

Worst prep I have ever used. I have had numerous colonoscopies with none of the issues that I had with this prep. Still have lingering effects from this prep after the colonoscopy.

I used Sutab for my second colonoscopy/gastric endoscopy in 5 years. Prior, I used the drink and had absolutely NO issue. My experience with Sutab however, was horrible. The pills are large but have a coating that helps them not get stuck when swallowing. Dose one was ok. All went smoothly and it was effective at cleaning me out to the clear liquid stage. However I did experience excessive abdominal burning and nausea with round one, but not so much to scare me. Dose 2 was a nightmare. Pills went down fine, but after the first hour and second H2O 16oz, my stomach/intestines were burning 10x that of the first dose. My abdomen quickly distended, cramping and nausea went thru the roof. Got to the bathroom and started projectile vomiting non-stop for about 15 minutes. All or most of the medication came out...and it burned. Had to wake my husband to make sure I didn't pass out. Nausea & burning continued but thankfully violent vomiting remitted later. I was able to go through with the colonoscopy and gastric endoscopy b/c the first dose was effective. Would I use Sutab at nearly $200 again? Not a chance. I had every one of the adverse reactions listed on the drug. (and I never react to meds).. I will stick to the old method with the liquid prep. And to those who dismiss the experience of us who had a nightmare of an experience.....just stop it. I believe this drug was pushed through FDA despite all the people with similar reactions to me and that is a shame. Do the research and see the reviews. Gastro Dr said my stomach had irritation all over the lining and he felt it was likely from the Sutabs. Read More Read Less

While the tablets were tasteless, the effects were awful. I felt extremely nauseous (close to vomiting) after taking both doses and the stomach pains were severe. Even worse the medicine did not work until after the second dose which was 230 am and was continuing until 10 minutes before my procedure (despite following all scheduling instructions). I slept two hours that night. After all that, Dr said I was not completely cleaned out and he could not see clearly during colonscopy. Bottom line: awful process and colonscopy was a waste of time. I was so relieved not to have to swallow liquid. After many gestational diabetes sugar drink tests, I knew I couldn't handle any unpleasant liquids in large amounts. I did research and followed a low residue diet for 5 days before my colonoscopy. I also chose to have a piece of toast with cashew butter the morning I was to begin my clear liquid diet. I drank a lot of fluids before taking the pills and made sure to take 2 every 5 min until they were gone, (6pm) followed by lots of water. I also made sure to be active while I took them, doing some house chores and such. It took maybe an hour to start working and I was done at 10 and slept a full 7 hours. In the AM, I repeated with as much water as I could handle at 6:30am, done by 7. Finished waters by 9:30 and had a nice nap from 10-11am. I was done expelling anything around 12:30p. Appointment was at 1:30p. I had no nausea, no vomiting and no real discomfort. Of course gurgling and a bit of gas pains but those were over when the bathroom visits were done. This worked well for me and I will gladly use it again in 3 years. Read More Read Less

The experience was simply horrible. This is my third lifetime colonoscopy, and the other two were a breeze with the solution, to the point that I used to joke that I could have a colonoscopy every day without issues with the prep. Not this time. When I got the prescription I told the nurse I didn't want the tablets because I thought they would be hard to swallow and I have had good experience with the solution before. She pushed back and she didn't want to give me a prescription for the solution, saying the solution was too expensive (it's my money, isn't it?), that the tablets were fine, that I should go to the pharmacy to take a look at the size, and if I thought they were too big, then call her.;. Why was this on me? So, I decided not to fight it. I terribly regret. After 10 min of finalizing the tablets for each of the bottles, I started having a strong headache, chills, and needed so much to vomit. I managed to avoid vomiting pacing the floor, while grabbing my head. I didn't want to re-schedule. I DEFINITELY DO NOT RECOMMEND. Push back if your doctor insists on you taking Sutab. The push back from the nurse made me think the clinic gets a commission prescribing these tablets.Read More Read Less

I was super scared to take these after reading all of the scary and bad reviews, but I had a great experience. Just for reference I am 18 years old and 115 pounds. I took a zofran beforehand any nausea and then took the pills like the box instructed. Within a little less then an hour they started to work. My second dose went exactly the same. I saw people saying they had really bad dehydration afterwards but I did not experience that as I made sure to drink Gatorade (yellow) before and after the procedure. Overall, I would 100% use these again and I'm so glad I didn't have to drink the horrible prep they usually give you. I hope this can help put someone at ease, good luck!:)Read More Read Less

My colonoscopy was scheduled at 10 am. The doc said to take dose 1 at 5:30 pm the night before, snd 5 am the morning of. The process of taking pills and drinking water takes 3 hours. That left 1 hour to empty my bowels, clean up and get ready, and drive to the doc office to be there 1 hour early at 9 am as requested. No way. Not enough time. I was lucky, the Sutab started working an hour into the process, 1 hour after taking the first pill. The effect of evacuating lasted at least 3 hours. Not enough time to get to the colonoscopy on time. I started my dosing 1.5 hours earlier than the doc advised, glad I did. I barely had time to make it off the toilet in time for the appointment. Instead of 5 hours before the procedure, I started 6.5 hours before. The instruction sheet from Sutab says you can take it up to 8 hours before. I suggest you use your own judgement and give yourself plenty of time. As for taking the pills, and the water, no problem. The pills are large and grainy, not easily swallowed, but ok with water. The reaction was fast, 1 hour. No adverse effects, but I was on a low residue diet for 3 days before, and that helped. I also walked around a lot while I was taking pills and drinking water, snd I believe that kept the nausea and reflux away. Also it took 2 full doses to get a clear stool. I recommend following instructions and doing the low residue diet for a good result, with minimal side effects.Read More Read Less

Ended up in emergency room. Almost choked on uncontrollable vomiting instantly after last pill of first 12 pill dose. Vomiting for 15 minutes non stop with horrible headache, throat closing up, almost passed out. Horrible experience. I thought I was going to coke to death before it would stop.

The pills were actually easy to swallow so I was relieved. Make sure to hydrate prior to taking the pills and if you get nauseous take an anti-nausea pill with each dose plus the "gas relief" pill to avoid gas bubbles. I did get nauseous my second dose but only for a couple hours and did not throw up. What helped me was Smart Water, unflavored Pedialyte and ginger ale, all at room temperature. It worked for me after one hour each time. If you do not like the liquid version, this can be more tolerable. The challenge will be the timing. The second dose is in the wee hours of the morning so your sleep the day of the prep will be a challenge. Personally, I would like to see this in a one dose method; not two. For me, it was worth it in finding accurate colonoscopy results! This was my second colonoscopy. My first was done with liquid and not pleasant so the pill form is better because you get to drink your own water, and liquids. Read More Read Less

It did what it was supposed to do, but extremely nauseous, and I vomited on the second dose. Due to the dosage length in 2 parts, be prepared to not get a a lot of sleep the night before the procedure and the pills are not small. The bloating was painful, I would look for another method next time, but luckily it won't be for another 10 years!

This was used for my 2nd colonoscopy. The tablets started to work right away with a little belly rumbling and between .75-2 hours later had a few bms and then all cleaned out. Previous product used was uncomfortable for 20 hours and included vomiting and intense cramping. I did have a sulfite type reaction with both doses (20min of hay fever like sympotms). Surprising because the website says even though it's a sulfa drug this shouldn't happen.

I am 52 and due to family history, this is my 4th colonoscopy. I don’t dread the procedure as much as I dread the prep! The procedure is a price of cake, and should not be feared at all. The prep is another story, at least for me! I have tried all different preps (including Sutab) and they have all made me violently ill! With an hour or so after taking the prep I am uncontrollably throwing up. So with that said, I guess this prep compares the same to all the liquid Preps on the market. I will say that the pills are so much easier to get down vs. the liquid. Especially the 2nd dose! I didn’t feel As though the pills cleaned me out as well as the liquid did. But my Dr. said I was good, so maybe just my opinion. My recommendation would be hydrate, hydrate, hydrate. I don’t like Gatorade or Pedialyte, so I load up on water. Read More Read Less

This product is a game changer!! Could not have been easier. No taste, no nausea and it worked like a charm. For all those who have delayed having a colon screening because of the nasty prep ask for Sutab. I don't understand why more doctors don't use it. I will never delay my exams again. Sutab made me a believer

SUTAB Colonoscopy prep. I started my prep at 5pm, i had no problems to swallow pills and drink required water amount. Between 7pm -9pm I had moderate abdominal cramps . I had small normal BM around 7, then nothing, I was really anxious that it's not working and i will have to cancel my colonoscopy tomorrow. At 12:30am i decided to start 2d dose, but decided to do it very slow. I took 2 pills with glass of water. Then around 4:40am it started really work well. I continued to take pills one by one till 5:30. Drank a lot of water. And very happy with results. So positive: no nasty taste, easy to swallow pills. Negative- abdominal cramps for 2hours, no results for 12 hours. Read More Read Less
