This is so easy! I could never keep the liquid prep down and thus would mess up my procedure. I'm so happy as I need to have a colonoscopy every three years and I dreaded the prep.Thank You!!

Please check your insurance coverage for this product! My insurance does not cover it and it would cost me $182 out of pocket! Too much on a fixed income. To be fair, I did not use this product. When the nurse was going over the instructions with me, I listened to the night-before instructions and the spacing of the tablets and 3/4 gallon of water. I was thinking that this didn't sound bad at ...

I tried the Sutab pills for the first time having previously used the liquid colonoscopy prep and this worked great for me. The liquid would always make me sick and I could never finish all of the liquid but I had NO problems with the pills. I took 1 pill every 5 minutes and drank plenty of water and sprite to stay hydrated. I would highly recommend trying this method.

Read many reviews here before I did my prep so I wanted to add my experience. It does the job as long as you keep to a low residue diet and cut your eating way back for a few days prior. I did the first 12 pills but I wasn't cleaned out entirely by the end of it. I advise wearing a diaper if you have any pelvic floor weakness or rectal incontinence because it comes on fast. The first dose took 90 minutes to work and I had to park my butt on the toilet for at least an hour straight before I caught a little break because I kept going for a while. Maybe had a 3-hour break before dose two which I only took 8 tablets, and I was cleaned out. I did get prescribed Zofran for nausea and I think that helped a lot. I took 1 Zofran 1 hour before the preps and 2 gas pills to decrease bloating. Drink a lot of fluids so you don't get dehydrated. It is better than the liquid by far but it's still a nasty business no matter what you are taking to clean you out.Read More Read Less

I had no problems with this medication. It worked effectively and I had no complaints from the doctor performing the colonoscopy. I used a timer to control the interval in taking the capsules and I found.
It is still about a gallon of water in less than 24 hours.
The only oddity was the delay after completing the first set of capsules before the effect. As mentioned, it was 90 minutes before it begain to work and I was beginning to wonder if it was working.

Within 20 minutes of first dose, I experienced almost uncontrollable vomiting for about 20 minutes. I haven’t taken second dose yet and I’m completely dreading it. Horrible experience.

I was told by the nurse to take the 1st set of 12 pills at 3pm, the 2nd set at 7pm. I started at 2pm because i knew it would take me awhile. 1 hour later i was in so much discomfort! Belly was bloated and gassy. I was extremely nauseated. I didnt want to vomit or i would have to stop the process and restart another day with a different type. My 1st bm was at 430pm. My stomach stayed uncomfortable for hours. By 7pm i was not ready to take the 2nd dose. By this time. The diarrhea wouldnt let me leave the bathroom. At 8pm i finished the 2nd set of 12 pills. It is currently 845pm and patiently waiting to continue the waterworks that is burning my butthole. This procedure is so archaic! You'd think after all these years someone would invent an easier way to do this test. I really dont like this.

I mean - it did its job… Doctor said it was a perfect result…. But I spent 12 hours completely nauseated and miserable.
Honestly, in the past I also go perfect result from the dulcilax/miralax method of prep which was so much easier and less miserable.

Honestly, I can't believe how easy this prep was! The negative reviews on this site made me quite anxious beforehand, and I was bracing for the worst. However, I had zero side effects—no nausea, no vomiting, no cramps. The size of the pills was perfectly normal, and I was genuinely surprised by how straightforward it was. I even worried if I was clean enough for the procedure because it was so much easier than expected. Afterward, the doctor confirmed that everything was perfectly clean. The prep was so easy that I could easily do it again if needed, though thankfully I won’t need to for the next 10 years! Here are some of the things I did: I set a timer and took each pill every 3 minutes, and I walked around between doses. I also requested anti-nausea pills from my doctor in advance, just in case, but I ended up not needing them. Additionally, I made sure to stay very well-hydrated for 3 days before the prep.Read More Read Less

I am Type 2 Diabetic and have heart arrhythmias. (SVT RVR and AFIB.) i had some fear because of all the things I read here.
I started Sutab at 6:00 PM. I just took the pills one by one with water, not waiting any time between each. (By the twelfth pill the first 16 oz of water was done!) By 8:00 PM it was working.
I did round two at midnight. My procedure start time was check in at 5:00 for 7:00 go!
I was properly cleansed and it was all easy. I woke up and was being given water sips. I was not required to "pass gas" before leaving. They walked me down the hall and back. Wheeled me to the car by 8:15.
Stools still runny but I just had soft foods so far so that is to be expected. What goes in soft comes out soft!
This is my second time to do pill prep and the process was different, but equally good. Read More Read Less

Unquestionably, this is the easiest prep I have ever done for a colonoscopy. My only issue is that it can't cost them more than $10 in pills to make this medicine and they charge $199 which is not covered by insurance. I still paid it as this one was for my wife and I had a free sample from my Dr so thought she should get the same benefit but what a rip off for this excellent solution.

This was my 2nd Colonoscopy. 1st one I took the GoLYTELY, nasty stuff. This was my 2nd and I choose the Sutab route. Much easier drinking water and taking 2 (12 pill options). After taking the 1st dose of 12 pills, within 40 minutes, it was working. I would recommend a soft toilet cushion to sit on, as you do get sore from sitting. I will choose Subtab for my next one!!

I took the first set of pills and became violently ill for hours, throwing up, chills. Burned my throat so bad I could not talk. Could not take the second set of pills but since my test was later in the day I was able to drink myralax and Gatorade to finish the prep but was still nauseous for 2 days after. Never again.

I followed the prep instructions for my colonoscopy. There was still some stool blocking the doctor’s vision. What a waste of changing my diet around for 3-5 days.
I have to do it again in a year. No pills for me again.
I did tHrow up a little after first round of pills.

This is my sixth colonoscopy and I’ve always had the liquid to drink. I was happy when my doctor offered the pills. I will say they were much easier to take and I didn’t have any adverse effects until after my colonoscopy. I in the house for six days, feeling awful, bloated, and completely constipated. I could barely eat and the abdominal pain was severe. Six days later, today it finally started to subside. I will never take the pills again. This is a first, it never happened when I drank the liquid.Read More Read Less

After talking to friends about their experiences with the colonoscopy prep liquid I chose Sutab. Even though my incident totally cover it. It wasn’t an issue because I drink a lot of water normally. The results were better than I expected and all went well. Will use it next time.

Routine colonscopy being the 10 year follow up. The Sutab process is 100% better than the hated process of drinking the milky dreaded liquids that use to be the only option. My Dr prescribed Sutab with his instructions of 12 pills followed by 3 - 16 Oz glasses of water. One 1 16 oz cup taking the pills, 1 16 Oz cup of water 1 hour later and 30 more minutes later the last 16 Oz cup so I had 1 1/2 hours to drink 3 16 Oz cups of water. 2nd dose was 6 hours later being 6 pills and 3 16 Oz glasses of water over the 1 1/2 hour timeframe and and 3rd dose 7 hours later same process. I chose to eat very clean and light 2 days before the prep. Followed the all liquid diet the day before the prep with the doses of Sutab. No problems, easy to tolerate and my Dr. laughed and said I was very cleaned out. This made the dreaded process so easy and painless. Hint prepare in advance - buy baby wipes, baby rash cream and pat don't wipe. I would not hesitate to use this process again 10 years from now. It was so tolerable my husband is doing his first colonoscopy in July. That is a testament in itself.Read More Read Less

The pills were effective for me. Within 90 minutes of taking the first dose, I started having results. And had results within 30 minutes of taking the 2nd dose. The cramping and bowel movements had completely subsided 2 hours prior to my colonoscopy.
I did find it a bit tough drinking the required amount of water within allotted timeframe, but it was manageable. I had quite a bit of bloating with very minimal nausea.

Bloating, chills, severe headache, nausea, vomiting in that order. 2nd dose the same but worse. I will never use Sutab again! It did however clean my bowel.
