After many years of using this product and being assured by my Dr. that it was safe, I now have breast cancer that is hormonally related. I asked my DR. to take me off it but he said the benefits outweighed the dangers. WRONG!!

Beware of this drug! In 2007 at age 60, I was experiencing night sweats and this drug was prescribed to me by my Gynecologist. I took it for approximately 6 months when I began to experience shortness of breath. I had asthma as a child so I thought I was having a recurrence. It turned out to be a pulmonary embolism (bi-lateral) which means both lungs had blood clots, too many to count I was told. Instant death if these went to my heart or possibility of a stroke if the blood clots did not kill me. After years of taking prescribed blood thinners (Warfarin), I was taken off them over a year ago and given aspirin therapy. I have had no symptoms or signs of blood clots since I took Femhrt for that short time of 6 months. My legs never hurt or had any pain whatsoever. I am told this is where the clots probably started. I am wanting to warn anyone to go to the emergency room if you are taking this drug or any other hormone replacement therapy and experience shortness of breath.Read More Read Less

I took this drug for 10 years. It treated all my symptoms, I had no side effects. Why did the manufacturer stop making it? I was switched to Jintili - gained 12 pounds in 12 weeks, night sweats, insomnia - It is not even close to Femhrt. No we are experimenting with other products - not going well

This medication works VERY well. The patent for this drug must be renewed. I have had the unfortunate experience of trying the generic version (Jintelli), which literally gave me the uncomfortable hotflashes, night sweats, insomnia and just overall irritability and after three weeks I informed my doctor of the need to have brand FemHrt only. After three days, I felt "back to normal". Now they're trying to take it off the market. Why fix what's not broken.

I've been taking this drug for about a year and it has given me my life back! I had so many hot flashes a day that I was consider changing from a job that I love to an "office" position because everytime I walked out the door I was dripping wet! A week after starting this med all my hot flashes dissapeared! I love this drug! I've gained significant weight but I'm not sure its from the drug. I'd rather be fat than dripping wet all the time!

Although there are still some night sweats, it has been totally effective during the day, no more wet clothes at the office.

i'VE SWITCHED FROM THE GENERIC zENCHANT TO fEMHRT 1/5 TABLET( on it for 5 days) , MY NIGHT SWEATS HAVE NOT SUBSIDED AT ALL, i HAVE UP TO 10 A NIGHT AND THE SAME OR MORE DURING THE DAY. Zenchent was doing the trick with the hot flashes but I had break thru bleeding and if I forgot to take it my period would start, I was wearing some type pad all month long. How long should I give it a try? 1 month?? I can't take these hot flashes!!!!

I have taken this medication for at least eight years. My GYN also took the medication, so I thought sure it would be safe. I now have developed blood clots knee to ankle, so I am getting off this medication. I will have to admit I felt fine while on this medication, but the risks are just to risky. I am 59 years old, and now looking at serious helth risks due to Femhrt 1/5

This medication worked for my hot flashes ok...but it sent a blood clot to my brain. I had a stroke and I may NEVER fully recover. I wish I would have looked into the side effects more carefully. I would rather be hot than brain damaged.

was a total wreck of a woman, bled for two months straight, VERY moody, constant hot flashes. Within two weeks of starting this I am a new woman. Have been on it for three months and I feel great. Would love to not have to take anything but I hate what happens when I don't have it. Will stay on it until I don't need it.

No side effects and has worked for my hot flashes, irritability and vaginal dryness. I tried the lower dose, didn't work for me so went back to the higher dose.

Just read several articles concerning progestin and hearing loss, which I am experiencing. I took femhrt for 5 years and only had a hot flash about once a night if that much. I am very concerned about the hearing loss.

I was on this drug for about 8 months, with no problems. I recently started having breakthru bleeding, and they found fibroids in my uterus. Now my Dr. put me back on Microgestin. I am not looking forward to having periods again !

I was only in my low thirties when hot flashes started. I am getting ready to be fourty in a few months and it is nice not to have hot flashes but scarred to be on this med. I have only been on it for ten days and already getting breast soreness only on my left side. Praying it goes away and doesn't turn into anything. Having a female doctor really helps when it comes to this kind of stuff.

I obtained immediate relief from hot flashes and night sweats.I have been very happy with its effectiveness. I am however concerned about the ease of weaning myself from the drug.
