Started taking the samples a week ago the GI doctor gave me after he thought I was having overflow diarrhea due to constipation. This medicine took me from bad to much worse! Woke up morning after 1st dose and barely made it out of bed before having an "accident." Explosive isn't a good enough word! Called doctors office and the nurse said to continue even though the literature says you shouldn't if you have severe diarrhea. I've tried for a week and haven't slept thru the night, have had to start wearing adult diapers and can't leave the house. This is the only medication that helped me with my constipation. It can cause some diarrhea, but overall very happy with it since starting a month ago.

Works overall great. I do get dehydrated sometimes from it, but that is the only side effect.

A god send. After trying everything, this is the only medicine that worked for me!

I took this drug for 12 days in December 2022. The gastro doc said it would "fix my gut motility". Every day that I took it (3x day as directed) I had 5-12 liquid bowel movements. Gave me a really dry mouth. I was exhausted and dehydrated. Worst thing ever for my digestion.

only took two doses (morning and early evening) for 2 days, very loose stools 2 to 3 hours after taking pills each day. skipped day 3. Day 4, same for morning but diarrhea started after midnight and lasted for about 2.5 hours with quite a bit of blood in stool. Never took another dose, no more blood in stool. Later saw that bleeding was a side effect not mentioned on document that came with the samples.

My doctor gave me samples. The medication worked wonderfully. I cramped just a little and loss a few pounds while taking it. My major complaints are my butt leaked after a bowel movement and release of gas without me knowing or could smell it being behind me. I was so embarrassed at church services after I found out. Everyone else could and knew that it was me smelling like ASS.

I am chronically constipated. I’ve been this way my whole life. Dietary changes help very little. Water intake and greens help very little as well. I have tried trulance, linzess, and motegrity in the past. My experiences with those were not helpful. My doctor gave me ibsrella because she said her patients like it, and it works with a few side effects. I took as directed, one tablet before breakfast. Two hours later, I was doubled over in pain. My abdomen was distended, and the cramps were excruciating. I would run to the bathroom and nothing would happen. It took about six hours before there was some movement. It was minimal at first. Once things started moving, it definitely cleared me out. However, I have been in pain for two days since taking it and have not gone again. This drug, I believe, inflamed all 30 feet of my intestines. My abdomen is sore to the touch. I’ve been laying down for two days because I can’t get up and move. It is so painful. It’s day three and I finally feel like I can move but the pain is still there. I think it’s gonna take a while for everything to settle down. I’m still bloated and distended. I am gassy and I’m still making gurgling noises. This medication was torture for me. I have a very high tolerance of pain as I am a 3x cancer survivor with numerous surgeries. I have been using Ibsrela for about 3 months now after several years of severe constipation. The combination of Ibsrela with daily Miralax has FINALLY WORKED! Neither Linzess nor Trulance helped me. It is surprising how much my quality of life has improved! My doctor told me that Ibsrela might not work for everyone, depending on the cause of their constipation. But it is working great for me! Better living through chemistry, hooray.

I've carefully read all the reviews, and I believe many individuals didn't allow it enough time to take effect. Yes! On the initial day, you may need to stay close to the toilet. It's been approximately 5 days for me, and I feel fantastic! It might cause your stomach to growl with noises, but I believe that indicates it's working. I no longer feel as bloated after a meal. I'm relieved since I'm now following a more regular bathroom schedule. Therefore, please give it a chance before reviewing it.Read More Read Less

Worked great

IBSRELLA caused me severe D first day and now just backed up every day and sick to my stomach with pain and gas and bloating and constipation. How long does it take? I started October 1st.

I have diarrhea every day but still have bloating and never feel cleaned out. My stomach is swelled all day and have some back pain. I take 2 tablets daily but am going to switch to one to see if that helps.

Worked really well for me. I tried other medications that didn't work at all. With Ibsrela I am having regular bowel movements and no more bloating and pain. I'm so glad my doctor recommended this.

It didn't worked as advertised. I bloated had very bad pain. Tried to work thru it just progressively got worse.looked like the blueberry girl from willy Wonka and felt like it.

Took 1/2 tablet and have had severe diarrhea 12 hours so far that won't stop. I'm beginning to get very worried.

This has worked when nothing else did. I had results within 2 hours with no side effects. I’m hoping it continues to be effective.

Initially, this worked for my Colonic Inertia, SIBO-C and bloating. It helped me pass stools when nothing else worked. I used it for a short time. Now, this either barely works or does not work at all and it causes me bad back pain and bloating. There are other medications out there that do the job better. This isn't one of them.

Day 3 and nothing yet. Except constant churning on the stomach. I’ll try 2 more days then switch to Linzess

I’d you have moderate to moderate constipation, DO NOT USE THIS! Go with a different method. This had me on the toilet almost every 30 minutes for 12 hours. Explosive diarrhea. There was nothing left to pass other than my bodily fluids. Total dehydration. If I wanted to torture someone, this would be what I would give to them. Maybe if you have someone in jail that you wish the worst on, give them this medication. You will have peace of mind they have suffered.
