I used Oral Plan b after a condom break with my partner. The medication was easy to use and seemed to be very effective, since I did not become pregnant. Although I am very satisfied with it's effectiveness the side effects were a big problem for me. I experienced nausea, and headaches. The pills also changed my menstrual cycle and I spotted for several days after my cycle was done. I am also...

I took Plan B 8 hours later after unprotected sex. Few weeks later i was rushed to the hospital from severe pain and internal bleeding. I was operated the same day. They had to cut part of my tube, because doctors could not stop the bleeding. It was an ectopic pregnancy that could cost me a life. The blood spread under my liver, ribs and chest. I was in agony. Do not take it! Not only i lost so m...

Gonna share my experience because I didn’t really see anybody’s like mine. Again all bodies are different ^_^ my period was on feb 16-18, condom broke on feb 20, took plan b within 2hrs. On feb 25-27 had spotting, internet told me it was implantation bleeding, don’t google anything makes you freak out more. Had very mild headaches sometimes between march 8-15. My period was supposed to arrive on march 13 and end march 15. Nothing happened, all I had was cramps throughout the week, miss flo came on march 18th, 5days late. So period came exactly a month later. The pill works, add a prayer every night helps too! Best of luck! These stories have definitely saved me and helped me calm down. Read More Read Less

I just want to come back to the place where it kept my sanity in place and share my experience because I was in your same shoes. So me and my girl had sex on December 31st, around (1am) and (8am) with no protection and went full inside of her because like past times. This time around, she took the pill the same day around (2pm) and we went on out days. 4 days letter she tells me that she has not felt any symptoms of the pill when she ALWAYS feels something the days after. So she then checked her app, and she saw that her main ovulation day was the next day, 1st of January, and her and me made the mistake to go to google just to find out that Plan B does not work if ovulation has started. So to keep it short, for the next 2 weeks I literally read all research articles and websites and it all said the same thing. Those 2 weeks were the worst days of my life just thinking that the pill didn't work and she might ended up being pregnant. But, just 3 days before her expected period, she GOT IT!!! PLEASE just take the pill even if you think its too late, its better to take it than not to.Read More Read Less

i took the pill after 24hr of unprotected sex. 4 days after taking it i started to experience a lot of abdominal pain. At first i did not even believe this was the pill, until the pain did'nt subside no matter what i took. it has been 4 days now of none stop excruciating pain. i started bleeding today, i am really scared cause i don't know if something is really wrong. i feel i would have been better off pregnant. i would never encourage anyone to take this. I have to wait for another 2days to go see my doctor.Read More Read Less

I had a slip up with my partner one night and he finished inside me. on our way to buy a plan b I check my flo app only to see "3 days until ovulation, high chance of getting pregnant " i freaked out. I wasn't ovulating yet but I was still at my high chances of getting pregnant and reading that really knocked me off my feet. my partner reassured me that the pill will work it worked before why not again. I wasn't on my fertile week thats why. I wasn't at my high chance of getting pregnant. anyways the pill worked. I had my last period on the 13 of December. I got my period today ! January 9th . the pill works ladies !Read More Read Less

Took after ovulation and a slip up with a condom and I got my period. It was 5 days late but it did come, and I'm sure the plan B (take action) helped prevent pregnancy some. Not really sure, honestly but it worked for me ( post ovulation)

Up until today I was sure that I was pregnant. You see I had unprotected sex about two weeks ago when our condom broke. 60 hours later I decided to take the pill to play it safe even though I don’t think my boyfriend came. Everything was fine until I realized I had sex on ovulation day and I read that plan b won’t work if you’ve ovulated. That’s when the stress began. I started googling everything and it stressed me out completely! My plan b symptoms lasted two weeks and I experienced nausea, breast tenderness, pain in lower left abdomen, extreme fatigue, bloating, and tons of white discharge. After all of my googling I realized all of these were symptoms of pregnancy! Luckily today 1 day later then expected I got my period after having a day of light pink spotting that I was sure was implantation bleeding. I know it’s hard but if your still reading this DON’T GOOGLE ANYTHING!!! All google does is stress you out and get in your head. Plan b works even during ovulation, and pms, plan b, and pregnancy all have the same symptoms so don’t stress until you have to. Everything will be fine :)Read More Read Less

I promised to write a review if I was able to get through this time safely, and I was! We had fun on the exact day of my ovulation (according to Flo), he didn't use any protection, and he came all in me. I then took this pill within 30 mins after, and thought I was safe. But the day after that I found out researches said it will not work if taken on or after ovulation, I was worried as hell, and I can only pray. 14 days after, my period came! The period came at the normal time, last for the normal length. So you can totally have trust in this!!!Read More Read Less

These reviews seriously saved me from a total panic attack, so I told myself that after my own experience I would write a review here for Plan B - whatever the outcome. I’ve been on birth control most of my life, but about a year ago I decided to give it a rest. Well…sure enough a couple of weeks ago would be the ONLY time I’ve ever had a condom break in my life AND he finished inside of me. My boyfriend and I didn’t even notice until the next morning (not a fun wake up call), but I went to the store for Plan B a total of 10 hours later. I also contacted my doctor to put myself back on birth control that very same night. I didn’t see a lot of reviews for taking Plan B and birth control again all in one, so I’m hoping this helps someone in a similar situation. I’ll go into detail on my side effects - on day one I had NOTHING. And I mean nothing. I was actually pretty freaked out after I took the pill that it didn’t work, especially after reading online reviews with everyone talking about terrible side effects. Even day two I only felt mild discomfort. Day three and four were bloating and minor nausea, but honestly it wasn’t anything crazy. I consistently went nuts looking at the toilet paper hoping I would see spotting or something but nada. Fast forward to the weekend I’m supposed to get my period and I’m almost so overly freaked out at this point that the acceptance stage started…no joke, I was done stressing - mostly because I didn’t have anything left in the emotional rollercoaster that was my brain. I’m 30 and my boyfriend was incredibly supportive, so I can’t even imagine the amount of stress a teen has to be going through right now (take deep breaths, you’re okay). Because of the birth control starting up again my hormones were completely out of whack and FINALLY after 8 days of being late I am happy to say that my period showed up THIS MORNING! Girls, I know you’re terrified, but the pill does work. I have no clue if I was ovulating or not, but it was definitely close to it and the Plan B totally did what it was designed for with little side effects. Oh, also - although I had only a little nausea and bloating I did have a crazy amount of white discharge. This is your hormones working overtime making sure the egg won’t stick to anything so DONT freak out thinking it’s a sign of pregnancy if this happens - it’s a good thing. I know me saying don’t stress isn’t going to change anything, but try to be kind to yourself. Accidents happen and for someone as careful and OCD as I am about these kinds of things it was a huge wake up call. We’re all here for you :) Read More Read Less

I promised myself I would come back and write a review if it worked for me so maybe I can help one of your ladies who are probably nervous af right now. I had my last period on Oct 7th. On Oct 19 I very stupidily agreed to have sex even though I knew it was my fertile week. I was suppose to ovulate one day after according to my flo app. The day before I had sex I started to see that stretchy egg white discharge but once I took the pill it stopped. I took it within 2 hours of the incident. The next day I was really sleepy and the next few days I had weird cramping on the left side of my pelvis. I didn't know what it was but it scared me out because I thought it was some type of ovary pain. That pain eventually turned into regular period cramps for two nights which intestified last night. Other than that I felt nothing except really hungry last night. I wake up this morning and I'M BLEEDING!! 10 days early. I'm not sure if this is my period or a side effect of the plan b but I've never been so happy to see blood. It doesn't seem like spotting either, it's full reddish blood. I was so scared that it wasn't going to work for me because I took it so close to ovulation but I'm so grateful! Girls don't worry, this thing works. It might take long or you'll have strange side effects which freak you out but it does it's job. I'm using protection from now on, the stress of this is not worth it! But the pill works wonders!Read More Read Less

Ok, so I told myself I will write a review of my experience. I had unprotected sex at night around 9 and 10 PM. I took a Plan B about 30 minutes after. I then checked to if I was ovulating. And Lo and Behold, I was either suppose to be ovulating or it being a day post ovulation. Of course I look online and they say Plan B doesn't work during ovulation. So being the paranoid freak I am, I start looking for reviews. I kept seeing people talk about how they got pregnant or they had all these horrible side effects or both. I told myself that everyones different and it may not happen to me. So I had to tell myself that everybody is different. I am a regular person. I get my periods on time every month, so I figured I ovulated regularly too. Now it was all up for chance. I was even so scared I ordered abortion pills just in case. I didn't experience severe side effects. Only thing were PMS symptoms such as breast tenderness, light cramping( which I usually don't have as much) and bloating. I thought I could be pregnant because I also had white discharge. These are all signs of early pregnancy. But something deep down told me I wasn't pregnant. My period was suppose to start tommorrow as I am writing this but luckily for me, it started yesterday. I didn't get any of the cramps I usually get (i have light cramping) and my period always starts in the morning. It came at night. I thought maybe im having implantation bleeding but even though my period is lighter (though it is always light on the first day), it is definitely a heavy flow like a period and it is crimson red. I still am having cramps and the blood is filling up a pad so I can be sure I'm not pregnant. I will take a test just to be sure, but I am definitely having my regular cycle. I can say to you to stop stressing and reading reviews. It most likely will work. Every person is different and if taking this pill during ovulation, just do it. Ovulation is tricky. Take an ovulation test to be sure. But take the damn pill. You never know. Don't stress too much. Just wait and it might come early or late but if your not sure take a test the day your period is suppose to start or after. just be patient and pray. I am literally going to start birth control now. But yes it works. Trust the process and your body. Also be safe and start using birth control or some time of protection. The stress is not worth it. Read More Read Less

I promised myself to share my story because trust me I was in your shoes too worrying if my period was ever going to come. I took Plan b on August 17th 7 hours after unprotected sex on the last day of my period & I am not on birth control. I recently got off of birth control 3 months ago therefore my body was still regulating. My last normal cycle was August 11-17. I took plan b out of precaution because I am nowhere near ready for a kiddo. I had spotting August 22-24 which was more than just spotting it was like it re-triggered my period to start. Other than that I have no side effects, nothing. I even took a pregnancy test on September 22, it was negative. I waited & waited & waited & waited for my period to FINALLY come on the LAST day of September And now as of October 1st I have a full flow. Plan b does work but you have to have patience & you can’t stress. I stressed myself out to the max and made myself believe I was pregnant. Just relax, it works & im already hopping back on birth control so I don’t have to stress anymore. ??Read More Read Less

Look i know you’re stressed and crying your eyes out. But don’t worry this pill works EVEN WHEN YOU ARE OVULATING! You just have to take it on time. If you did take it on time and get symptoms like you’re pregnant( sore boobs, nausea, occasional cramps) you’re not pregnant- this pill sometimes does that you and you will get your period. I got mine 4 days early.

Me and my boyfriend had a major oopsie while having sex and the condom actually completely came off inside of me which was definitely an anxiety raising experience. I decided to take a plan B the next morning, which ended up being approx 7 hours after the deed. I was so scared as it was supposedly 2 days post ovulation and of course we’ve all read that plan B will not work after ovulation which made so stressed out. I’ve taken it once before and noticed spotting about 5 days later but this time there was absolutely 0 spotting and I got my period 1 day early (hallelujah!) I stressed myself out SO much during the week and a half before my period came, by reading all of the info on Google… STOP, everything will work out fine, don’t overthink it and just let it work it’s wonderful magic. I’m 19 and DEFINITELY not ready for a baby, im getting an IUD here pretty soon which will definitely be good. These reviews helped put my mind at ease, so now I thought I should make my own.Read More Read Less

I’ve been reading these reviews for the last couple of years, not knowing that one day, I’d be writing one in hopes of easing you of the same stress I once felt. I’ve probably taken Plan B over 20 times now, and it has always come through for me (this isn’t something you should do, though–get on birth control ASAP. You can use the Planned Parenthood Direct app to get them super cheap and often delivered to your nearest pharmacy quickly). For this specific experience, I had unprotected sex on July 25th (which just so happened to be my ovulation day according to my Flo app ??). I don’t know whether he came in me or not (there’s always a chance of pre-cum), but I still wanted to be safe. So, I took Plan B that same night AND started birth control the very next day. My periods are irregular, too, so obviously I was freaking out not knowing when my period would come. I just relied on the Flo app, which said I should have gotten my period on August 9th, but I didn’t. All I experienced were cramps and tender breasts from August 10th-August 12th. The next day (August 13th), I started spotting light brown (it was a very unique shade, and I freaked myself out even more by looking up pictures of implantation bleeding and thinking, “IS THIS COLOR THE SAME AS MINE?! AM I PREGNANT?!”). Thankfully, I learned that women will often experience light brown spotting after starting a new birth control pill, but I was still worried. I continued to experience cramping, tender breasts, and light brown spotting through August 17th. The spotting became more of a reddish brown color on August 18th). Still not knowing whether or not I was safe, I took a pregnancy test this morning (August 19th), and I was so anxious and scared waiting to see my result. BUT THANK GOD, IT WAS NEGATIVE! I STILL don’t know whether what I’m experiencing now is from all of the hormones in my body or my period, but I’m very blessed to know that I’m NOT pregnant! Ladies, please, please, PLEASE, just get on a reliable method of birth control and stay committed to it, KEEP TRACK OF WHEN YOU ARE MOST FERTILE AND BE ESPECIALLY CAUTIOUS IF YOU DECIDE TO HAVE SEX ON THOSE DAYS, don’t freak yourself out too much, but pay attention to your body’s discharge (or lack thereof) and consider scheduling an abortion appointment early on if you feel you might need one (yes, I did this. You can always cancel if you find out you’re not actually pregnant, but I really WASN’T sure and knew I needed to book one as a backup plan). Best of luck with getting the outcome you want, ladies! I just prayed for all of you, and hope this review helped to ease your stress to some extent.??Read More Read Less

My partner and I had a slip up the other night and I wanted to share my experience because the reviews are the only thing that made me feel better about the situation. I was already 2 days late the night we hooked up, but basically the condom broke and we didn't realize until it was too late. I am in no way capable of raising a kid right now so the next morning I immediately went and bought the pill. In my other experiences with plan b, my period came much sooner than expected, but not this time. I ended up being 10 days late to my period and I do not think I have ever stressed so much over something in my entire life. The period ended up coming and I don't think I have ever been more happy to see blood in my entire life. If anyone has a similar experience, just relax because stressing just delays even more. The plan B worked and I had minimal side effects other than the late period, so definitely was worth it. Read More Read Less

I am sharing this because I was constantly reading here before I got my period, I used the pill for the first time on the 26th of June, after the condom broke. This was both the very first time I’ve seen a condom broke in my life, my partner hadn’t put the condom all the way correctly so that was probably what caused it. Make sure that it is put correctly and the tip pinched and all that because sometimes in the moment we don’t notice these things. So he noticed after he had finished inside of me, I was kind of in shock because my whole life I used condoms as protection and never experienced this, I’m 24, so afterwards just after showering and all I went to the closest pharmacy that was open and asked for the pill. The pharmacist asked me which day on my cycle I was, I checked and said day 14. OVULATION DAY. He was very nice and informative, told me that these are the dangerous days. And he explained to me that after taking the pill my period may be late 4 to 7 days. After he talked about an experience someone he knows had, where that girl had her period be 9 days late. So he was very informative on the possible effects and how everybody is different. Then I took it when I got home, so It was in the first hour after the accident. I did not have any side effects up until day four, but I was doubting it was from the pill. My breasts were sore, naturally because the next week my period was due. So I felt excited and said oh good I will get it on time. After a week or so, I still didnt get my period. So I started freaking out a little, each day in the morning I was checking my panties and no period… after that 5 more days have passed and I noticed I finally got my period. So in the end I was 5 days late, my breast soreness took about a week and a half instead of a week this time, I was thinking if it could be because of the extra hormones on the pill. So it worked!
