I am so grateful to God that I am now on track in my health! Previously had heavy periods. Now using the evra patch back to back so I have stopped my periods. I got two Iron infusions of 500mg each, 4 weeks apart. Prior to first infusion , ferritin was at 5. After second infusion, ferritin was at 516. 4 months later, ferritin is now at 435. Do not take this form of iron. Monoferric caused rash from head to ankles. Now x 4 months. Nothing gets rid of the rash. Been to different derms. No relief. Yellowing of teeth. Cannot get them white again. Terrible drug. After 15 years of iron treatment tried this. I am a pharmacist. This drug should be taken off the market!

After finding out my ferritin was 1, I started getting 500 mg iron infusions. I haven’t been consistent with the treatment plan, my ferritin has only gone up to 9, after 2 years of treatment. So I’m getting back on track to be on schedule to get my infusions after I have my bloodwork checked every 4 months. Side effects: Joint and muscle pain. Usually day of, day after is the worse for me. Headache. Frequent sinus headaches. Not sure if it’s from the infusion. Constipation. Also something I deal with, without the infusion. But the infusion does make it worse. I’ll need to work on how to manage my symptoms better. Because I need this med to get my ferritin up and keep my HGB in a normal range. Read More Read Less

I broke out into a sunburn like rash from my brow to my belly button within 24hrs of my infusion. Five days later it still feels like a sunburn, my skin is peeling and itchy. My doctors just say "take Claritin" , claritin doesn't do much as it continues to spread down my arms. I have to get a steroid cream to hope it takes away some of the itch. I also have to wait to see if my body is permanently scared and discoloured. This product should have never been released given that 1 in 100 hundred will have a reaction of some kind, severity pending. Those are very poor odds. There are other products on the market that have a less concentrated infusion and have been around longer. Good luck finding the ingredients anywhere. Paid $529 for a nasty rash. I got burned from the inside out.Read More Read Less

Fantastic drug, I am quite pleased with initial results. No side effects, fatigue is gone and I'm very energetic. Will check ferritin again every 3 months, hope to learn how to stabilize my ferritin and prevent IDA reoccurence. Will update. Really interested to read patient reviews on ferritin levels over time, haven't found much online so far.Read More Read Less
