Great medication! Second week of the school year and my teenage son has done great. We did have to go from 60 to 80 but he’s grown a ton this summer. His appetite isn’t really different and surprisingly he’s slept great. He’s been on time to first hour every day so far...last year, he would have been tardy 6 times already.

18 year old son took the 60mg capsule for 1 month. His grades went from A's to D's, he fell asleep in class and had to be hospitalized for 2 days because he became basically catatonic. He had a manic episode, which has never happened. He has been on adhd meds since age 5. This was the scariest reaction to a medication.

Taking ADHD medication at night has been a life changer for our family! Jornay works amazingly well and our daughter no longer sets the tone in a negative way for our entire family in the morning. Basketball this medication works all day and into the evening without affecting her sleep. She is truly a different person and the best version of herself. Looking forward to school starting so we can see her soar!

This has been the best 4 weeks of the school year for my 15 year old son! I wish I would have agreed to having him switch from his Vyvanse sooner, but I was worried the evening dosing would be inconvenient. I was wrong! After 3 quarters of D’s with a C and an F, and extra help and tutoring, I finally had enough. We switched to Jornay PM 60mg and he noticed immediate improvement and less hyper focus which lead to him focusing on the wrong things while on Vyvanse. After about a week, his doctor bumped him to 80mg due to needing it to work into evening, which it did. He told me yesterday, “Mom, I guess I didn’t realize how badly I felt on Vyvanse until we tried this...now I feel like I’m normal and don’t have adhd.” It brought tears to my eyes because he’s not the most communicative with me these days! Also, he has remembered to take his med almost every night, on his own, which is unreal to me! Best adhd med ever!!Read More Read Less

I’ve been treated by both classes of stimulant medications (methylphenidates and amphetamines) at different times throughout my adult life and I’ve never liked the idea of having to take medicine to “feel normal” or to focus on everything I need to. It made me feel anxious for some reason, but if I didn’t take anything, goodbye to any glimpse of a routine or any order in my life. My psych told me about this med over a year ago and I didn’t want to move from my current therapy, but was not doing great in terms of how long that other med (vyvanse) was working. I finally got to the point where I needed to make some changes. Doctor started me on 40mg a few weeks ago but wound up prescribing 80mg las week. I take it at night and I wake up clear headed every day and it seems to last all day or just wear off very smoothly. I’m telling you right now, I feel normal for the first time in my life! I cannot believe it and I’m happy to say I don’t feel the ups and downs from having to take a med then feeling a crash later. Jornay pm has been a godsend for me!Read More Read Less

My daughter was diagnosed with adhd 2 years ago at 10. She’s now 12 and wrapping up 6th grade, which until recently, has been very rough. Prior to Jornay PM, we tried several stimulants/non-stimulants with only slight improvements AND mostly just effects. Moody in the evening and boosters caused her to not sleep, lack of appetite and growth, and her flat out refusal to take her medicine. Who could blame her? We started Jornay PM 40mg about 2 months ago. Immediate improvement the next day I couldn’t believe it. Since it’s given at night she woke up easily and I was astounded. She said she felt calm and clear but noticed it wearing off at end of school day. Her NP bumped her dose up to 60mg and said she could even need 80. Because of how it works, the dosing seems higher but isn’t as scary as it seems. She’s been at 60 for about 6 weeks and has needed 80 and I’m so happy with how well she’s doing! Game changer...that’s what Jornay PM has been! Her teachers in math and English have all made a point to tell me how well she’s doing and she’s getting along with us and her siblings. She was invited to a birthday party for the first time in forever, and I honestly think this positive medication change is a huge part in where she’s at right now. Thank you thank you thank you Jornay PM!Read More Read Less

I have been taking medication for ADHD for 12 years and I can honestly say this has been the absolute best one I have used yet. I have been able to finally say I feel like a normal functioning human being. My ocd behaviors have been minimal to non-existent since I have taken this medicine (2 years now). I am NEVER late for things anymore and I don’t try to get out of appointments or commitments like I used to. I wake up at the same time daily and that alone has been a life changer . I don’t have to worry about taking any additional doses throughout the day. I also have a team of doctors and specialists that monitor all of my vitals and whom I seek therapy monthly, which I recommend for anyone who has adhd regardless of what medicine they take! My son who will be 11 next month has been taking 20mg. Of this med for a few months now after switching from adderall to vyvance and this has been much better. Mornings were really bad and now he gets up on his own most of the time but still has been much better. He listens better and is doing just fine in school.

We struggled with my daughter eating on her old medicine and mourning were a beast to rangle. I sat in on a med lunch in with a rep and thought what the heck let's try it. It was the best decision! It's so much easier to remember, her mornings aren't near as bad, her appetite improved, as well as her mood and outgoingness. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

The medication didn’t work at all for my grandson. We have tried 3 different dosages and non worked for him. Was really looking forward to it working, but had to go back to original ADHD medicine. ????

I decided to try it since my doctor gave me a voucher for a free month trial and I immediately noticed a difference the first day. Vyvanse worked great but it took an hour to kick in then only lasted about 8 hours for me and as a full time working mother and wife, it was a struggle every day after work to at home. Jornay still keeps working and I donâ??t struggle doing my â??mom/wifeâ? job after 5 anymore!

I have narcolepsy and have a difficult time waking up in the mornings (donâ??t hear alarms). Also suffer from excessive daytime sleepiness due to narcolepsy. Started this medication about 2 months ago and have noticed a difference. I have more better mornings than not. But there are times that I miss a dose and not being able to take until the next evening makes it difficult for me to stay awake. I also have not been successful in figuring out what exact time to take medication to get the most out of it (I metabolize medications way sooner than the average person). But overall, itâ??s been better than other stimulants I have taken, Read More Read Less

I started this about a month and a half ago. I like it, and think itâ??s a great medication since Iâ??ve tried a ton of different products over the last 25 years. My mornings have always been terrible but now I get up and can start my day without a slow to clear fog even though I would take my vyvanse right away. I found taking Jornay at 7pm on an empty stomach is best for me and I wake up at 6am ready to go. I gave effectiveness and ease of use 4 stars because nothing is perfect and if you donâ??t get enough sleep nothing works like it should. I am a single father of 2 teenagers and wind up staying up until 11 every night because of chores. My wife passed away 4 years ago so I am 100% responsible for the household. Anyway, this has been great, except forgetting to take it a few times until 10pm or after the first week, I will continue to stay on it!Read More Read Less
