This product is coated with plastic. Do I need to say more? And, it inflamed and caused my vagina area to become inflamed and raw. Very unpleasant.

I have had this inserted for two long weeks now--days of cramps--and am planning to remove it (If I can!) as soon as I figure out another estrogen treatment to try. I am very worried about the removal process. Another website had lots of good suggestions, like wearing rubber gloves (better grip, I think), add a lubricant first, and to bear down as if you're going to the bathroom after you hook it with a finger.

I have decided to discontinue Rx of Imvezzy 4mcg, though Dr. prescribed it for 8 weeks. I stopped after 9 days using it daily. I have had vag. atrophy for many years and had controlled it o.k. with a vag cream only. With Imvexxy, the side effects were many. Most concerning was frequent vaginal bleeding. Conclusion: I don't want plastic going into my body, food coloring, bleeding, headaches, and other side effects. Did it help? Yes, but my need is for vag. tissue to be healthier, less prone to candida, and there are other ways to achieve this, well accepted by non-traditional healers. Thanks, but no thanks! I also wonder why my insurance does not cover the costs. Hmmm. (Note: it may be intended for younger women? That's o.k. My Dr. may work more with younger patients & hadn't thought about this!) I was having very bad vaginal dryness that was leading to chronic UTIs and yeast infections, pain with intercourse, pain and burning with urination ... I was miserable. I tried the Estradiol creams and they were very messy. I tried vagifem tablets and they never dissolved properly (probably because I was so dry). Then my Dr suggested Imvexxy 10 mcg. It's a small softgel so it dissolves easily. It's not messy at all. I used it for 14 days initially, and now I use just twice a week to maintain. It works amazingly well. I feel back to my old self again. No more pain or burning, no more UTIs or recurring yeast infections, no more pain with intercourse. It does leave a little hint of pink on my pantyliner on the days I use it (it's a pink softgel). But it's a light baby pink color (not like blood) and I know it's just from the softgel. I buy single use, disposable vaginal applicators (small capsule size) from amazon to insert because I don't like using my fingers and that works really well. Use Goodrx code if insurance won't cover it. Read More Read Less

At 42ys had to have a full hysterectomy due to unbearable bleeding months at a time caused from fibroids. This changed everything sexually. The reviews on this medication are truly frightening. My doctor prescribed it but NOPE I don’t want it. My luck with medications side affects have already been mild but reading these.. nah I’m good. I’ll try a holistic approach or give up. Sigh ??

This medication is a lifesaver! I didn't respond to vagifem and I'm allergic to the other estrogen creams. This has almost cured atrophy/dryness and has given me back my sex life and my normal life.

This worked very quickly for me. It's easy to use, but it does leave a mess (it leaked out past a pantyliner onto my sheets) when the capsule dissolves. They should not have made the capsule pink - using FD&C Red #40, which has been shown to cause cancer and allergic reactions - when it could be mistaken for blood after the capsule dissolves. There are some other questionable inactive ingredients, including ammonium hydroxide and polyvinyl acetate phthalate. If it didn't work so well, I would stop it immediately. I can only hope that someone else will come up with something safer that's just as effective - or that they'll switch to safer inactive ingredients.Read More Read Less

Although this medicine helped a whole lot with my symptoms, it made me so dizzy that I would actually fall into the wall. I also had headaches with it. I was on the 10mcg dose. I was thinking that maybe I should take the lower dose and see if the negative side effects would happen.

Awful. It burned my cervix. Then after the two weeks daily ended and I was on twice per week my face broke out horribly with perioral dermatitis. Fiery red scales pustules. And my skin is normally pristine. This product is horrendous. I do not recommend that anyone would ever try it.

I’ve just started this drug. I hate having to insert it. Obviously if tissues are dry and thin, the pain comes with inserting ANYTHING. It hurts to push it in so I have to use lube so messy, inconvenient -will continue to see if effective but wish these were either less pointy (the teardrop shape hurts if it goes sideways which it always does) or somehow easier to use without exacerbating the original issue.

I was out in imvexxy for frequent UTI. I have been on 10 months..no UTI s but am very bloated,,and getting hot flashes again. I am on the 4mcg which I went down to after 2 months at 10 mcg. Thinking of going off as I cannot stand the weight gain and flashes.

They want to take it out of your debit/credit automatically every month. Cant trust this kind of arrangement. It will take 2 to 6 days for delivery. This drug caused me to have shortness of breath.
