Well, I'm not pregnant, I lost 12 pounds, my skin looks so much better, increased sex drive, and lighter periods. Seriously, the best bc I've ever been on.

i started birth control when i was 15 it was supposed to help my cramps. at 16 i ended up with numerous blood clots in my legs lungs and in my arms, my family and was told to come and say goodbye to me because i only had a ten percent chance to live. thankfully i mad it but being 16 and hearing this is probably the end of your life was so hard.

I have been on Apri for 3 weeks now and I hate it! I am SO tired ALL the time, I've had a horrible yeast infection (I've only had two others ever and I'm 29)before the vaginal infection, it showed up as thrush in my mouth. I feel like crap, it's affecting my daily life because I just feel very sick and tired.

I certainly agree on the lack of sex drive. I also agree that I often feel pregnant while on this medication (bloating, extra tired, always hungry) which i think defeats the purposeof being on a birth control pill. If it wasn't for this being s cheap through my insurance I would switch in a heartbeat.

I have been on this pill for 2 years after the birth of my second child. For a while it was OK, but over the last 6-8 months I have experienced increase in period flow, excessive to say the least, in my 2nd and 3rd day. It is difficult to find a bathroom 3 times in an hour's time. I have had a severe decrease in sex drive. Ready to change but my Doctor is advising an IUD. Not for me.

I stopped taking Apri TODAY. I started it a month & 1/2 ago & have had sore boobs, major bloating (I look 5 months pregnant!), weight gain (for no reason, I am exercising & eating as I normally do but it's come out of nowhere!), mood change, headaches & nausea, vaginal dryness & loss of sex drive & prolems sleeping. I was on Lybrel (not covered by my insurance) for 4 months and had NONE OF THESE PROBLEMS. I am going back to Lybrel TODAY. I just called & got my prescrption!

I take this medication because I have irregular menstral cycles. I have been on many different pills and this is the most effective with the least side effects (with higher dose pills I get bad PMS symptoms and a lower dosage I get break-through bleeding). I have noticed a decrease in sex drive but I have other health issues that might contribute to that.

I was on this medicine for years, and recently came back to it because my cramps became so bad and my periods were so heavy. I've been very pleased with its effectiveness.

I have acne when I'm taking the pill and it clears off the week of my period. I had bad nightmares the first couple of weeks - which I usually don't have. Also I have a rash that comes and goes on my inside arms

The first few weeks where okay. But after that I suffered severe mood swings, I became depressed. I also lost all intrest in sex, which i guess is another reason why this drug may have been effective. I also had severe head aches. I stopped taking it for a month and learned that I had developed a cyst on my ovaries, which later on burst causing severe pain. The figure that was from the birth control. Also once I got back on it had horrible headaches, gained weight and had horrible cramps. So overall I would not recomend this drug. Especially if you have history of headaches and bad cramps.Read More Read Less

since taking this pill a little under a year, my cramps are horrible and I just recently found out that I 'd developed a cyst on my ovary! I have not been using this pill for about a month now and I feel like I am pregnant, but I am (doctor confirmed). The weight gain is a huge problem. I have since found a method that is 99% accurate and in not horomonal.

I am 25 years old and suffered from a cerebral bleed (subdural hemitoma) after taking this medication. I was extremly healthy and do not smoke. I had a have a crainiotomy preformed to evacuate the blood that had collected on my brain. I had a mild head ache for about 2 weeks, went to the dr one moning because the headache became more intense. If you are on this medication. Be aware of the warnings. I didn't get pregnant while on Apri, but I almost died. Will never ever take it again. Not worth the riskRead More Read Less

This birth control worked fine for me: it got rid of my cramps and prevented pregnancy. I've not been satisfied, though, because it completed destroyed my sex drive. I haven't had any desire for sex for the past several months that I've been using this drug. Before this, I was on Ortho Tri-Cyclen Lo, and I think I'll be switching back to Ortho very soon.

This is my first month of Apri, I switched from Yasmin and have decided to switch back immediately. Has anyone realized a huge loss of sex drive? I have had no desire for any sort of affection since I started. I want to want sex again... help?
