The syringe they provide is cheaply made. I’ve been on this a short time and have to take 4 times the amount of insulin I took using Humalog. This insulin is a joke and diabetics should not be forced to use this crap because the govt thinks humalog is too expensive. Neuropathy, blindness and kidney disease are more expensive and that is all this insulin will lead to for type 1 diabetics.

Admelog does not work. I've been a Type I Diabetic for almost 40 years (since 14) with no complications, so yes, Big Pharma, and Health Insurers, I AM AN EXPERT. I took Admelog for 2 months because my insurance would no longer cover the over-inflated price of Humalog and my sugars were consistently high (above 250). The pharmacists try to tell me that the they are almost the same but I told them No Way.! It is like injecting water. It does nothing. Admelog should be taken OFF the shelves of every pharmacy. It is cheaper than Humalog both in price and effectivity. When you are talking about your you cannot settle for ineffective.Read More Read Less

My insurance forced me to use Admelog after years of using Novolog with no problems. Now my a1c has gone from 6% to 8-9% for the last 4 years I've been on it. It takes forever to work, and I usually bolus about 15-20 minutes before eating and every single time I end up in tbe 200-300's. Then it won't bring my blood sugar down for hours and then it tanks. This insulin is incredibly dangerous and should be taken off the market but Sanofi-Aventis probably pays a lot of money to the FDA to keep it on the market. Unfortunately, my insurance won't let me switch back to Novolog "no matter what" even after my endocrinologist told them this insulin doesn't work. I was given a sample of both fiasp and Novolog, and my numbers were well within range. When I had to start using admelog again, my numbers are abysmal. Read More Read Less

Terrible I feel horrible on this even if my sugars are at normal levels. I dont know if there is something toxic in this or perhaps Im allergic. This should be pulled off the market, I feel normal on Novolog but like death on this GARBAGE

Admelog was forced on patients with MD state insurance (Medicaid and the MCOs) during the time Trump was in office. The cost is significantly lower than Novolog, which works great for Type 1 diabetes. Since my son started using it, he began to get ill all the time and has had several new medical issues. He has had to go to the ER on several occasions and was recently hospitalized from diabetes complications. He was treated with Novolog and almost overnight improved. Thank goodness he was able to get an authorization from the insurance company to go back on Novolog (which he used for years) and has improved tremendously. Please advocate for better medications for all people with any type of insurance, and advocate for yourself so you can be healthy. And most important, we have to get medications like Admelog off the market. From what I’ve read on the reviews of several websites, the comments have been consistently terrible. That means there are thousands of people suffering because they are forced to take this medication dictated by their insurance company. My heart hurts in knowing this. Let’s make a change so our children, friends and family can be in the best of health and have longevity and awesome lives. Read More Read Less

This medication DOES NOT WORK. My numbers were always high, until I took the tiniest bit too much and then crashed. No matter what I do, I can't get stable with this med. AND, it made me dizzy, short of breath, and the injection site hurt, almost like it was burning me. Humalog never did that! I have stopped taking it and now my numbers are horrific without the Humalog. I still take Lantus at night so my morning numbers are usually okay.

I was forced on this insulin because my insurance says its cheaper then the novolog that I have been on for years. Since starting this medication, I have had nothing but high blood sugars. I keep taking insulin to correct the high as my pump allows then I plummet. There is no happy medium and Ive been forced to stay on this medicine for almost a year now even during pregnancy which could have harmed my child. Ive become depressed and miserable and feel awful all the time due to my blood sugars from this insulin. I dont even eat carbs anymore because Im scared my blood sugar will go higher because of this crappy insulin. Im not sure why anyone would approve ADMELOG for use. Ive heard it has had the same awful effect on a lot of other people and its sad that our health and well-being means nothing to these insurance companies. I pray that something changes for me soon because Im at a loss with what to do. Read More Read Less

Admelog does not work. I was finally getting my blood sugars under control with humalog and an insulin pump, but my insurance stopped covering humalog and gave me admelog. My blood sugars were higher than they have been in years. I am fighting the insurance company, and I have reported this drug to the FDA MedWatch. My current choices are to pay $150 a vial for the insulin that works, or, what my doctor told me to do, take the insulin that does not work so that my lab work in 3 months will prove that it is not working. My insurance no longer allowed Novolog or Humalog so I was forced to use Admelog since maybe Sept 2018. And since then, no matter how many times I test, how many times I change my diet, how many times I inject...my blood sugars are always high.... and then plummet once I end up taking too much. I have carb counted for the last 20 years... and never had this many outrageous highs while taking my medication properly. I purposely kept a diary the last week to show my dr the results of this crap. I woke up on Saturday with glucose of 183, took Admelog...2 hours later without eating or drinking my blood sugars were 386. Recently my insurance sent a letter say it would be removed as on 1/1/20.....I have never been more excited to get rid of a medication. I worked so hard to maintain good glucose levels only for them to be sabotaged by the insulin that was supposed to be helping me. I guess I can really say... NEW YEAR, NEW ME! Read More Read Less

Using in an insulin pump. For a few months, my blood sugar averaging 250. Couldn't figure out why. Then I research Ademelog. Other users claimed it was ineffective and like water. This was all BCBS would allow at the time. Had to increase my basal rate to 120%. Now BCBS will not cover Admelog (interesting). Back to Novalog and BG is back under 150 most times.

This insulin doesn’t work the way it is suppose to, constant high blood sugars. In the long run won’t save insurance companies money when I end up in the hospital because of 500 bs. It should be taken off the market!

Insurance will not cover the Humalog so I had to be switched to this insulin. It's caused more high blood sugars than I have ever had. It causes more stress and aggravation and really isn't worth the cheap price they put on it. I can not believe that this insulin is allowed when all it is doing is causing more issues for diabetics.

Wow. I didn't realize I was on a trial drug. I've been diabetic 46 years, on a pump for 27 years. My blood sugars have been high, I would take extra boluses, tell the pump I was eating more carbs than I actually was and increased my basal by 30%. Still averaging around 250 to 300 bg. Exercise, diet, opened new vials â?? didn't realize it was the brand. Is it actually cheaper if the dosage needs to increase.

My insurance won't cover the humalog U-200 anymore so they switched me to admelog which does not make a U-200. I am insulin resistant so I need a stronger insulin than a U-100 that admelog offers I now have to fill up my insulin pump every day which it takes 3ml (one full insulin quick pen) to fill up that's enough insulin to kill the average diabetic! I won't say the name of the insurance company but I will say it has a blue colored cross in it's nameð???.and I'm not happy with admelog at all. I now have to suffer with extreme blurred vision because of the high dose not to mention the ridiculous weight gain 45lbs give or take a few pounds in about 6 months which I didn't have that problem with humalog and with the high dose I'm taking I'm sure there's other side effects that haven't surfaced yet. The admelog insulin should be investigated and I know for a fact I'm not the only one complaining about it and should be taken off the market till more research goes into making it an effective product.Read More Read Less

This insulin is now what they switched my 9 year old daughter on and it is absolutely ineffective. We have been on this about a little over a month and it is not successful in contolimg my daughter’s glucose. She has been in the high 200-400’s on a regular basis regardless of what she eats. Her correction doses are so high because her glucose does not seem to Lowe despite using the insulin. MThis insulin should not be approved for use for Type 1 diabetes.

I have been diabetic for 26yrs, and this is the most horrible insulin that i have used. I have medicaid now, and the insurance would not cover my novolog, so without telling me, my doctor called the drugstore to change to this watered down insulin. It is useless drug, and I don't know how they think it's ok to put our lives at risk of death putting us on insulin that doesn't work.

I was forced to switch to this insulin after my insurance refused to continue covering Novolog. It takes forever to work (at least 45 minutes, if it works at all) and it is causing my a1c to be over 9% (from 6). I think the FDA seriously needs to do more research on this insulin because I am not the only diabetic having problems with it.

This Admelog is like injecting placebo. May as well be water. It does not phase my BS at all. I miss my Novalog! I need it back! Looks as though Medicaid (first choice) donâ??t care if we live or not. Been a diabetic for 8 yrs and check my BS 3 x a day. I saw noticeable results with Novalog, but nothing with Admelog. Iâ??m worried sick about my organs and the damage from 400 blood sugars. Someone plz help! Letâ??s ban together and get Admelog removed from the market. :-(

This insulin is garbage. Our daughter (kindergartener) was forced to switch so the insurance thieves could save money. I hope they all drop dead. Ineffective insulin, high levels, early changeouts...it's crap.
