Having read many threads on this forum I havn`t read any from users who also suffer with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS) so I thought it might be helpful to share my experience as I have had IBS since my late teens. I am 64 now. I started as most people do with a weekly injection of .25 mg to start my body to get used to Ozempic. I thought at first that I had no side effects. This was not quite cor...

the "instructions" state that I take .25mg for 1st week and then .5mg thereafter. The graduations on the pen show nothing but dashes until you reach 1mg. the instructions also state that you can only take 1mg with this pen. wtf?

At the end of April 2021 my A1C was at 19, I developed neuropathy in my left foot and my doctor and I decided to try ozempic. I was 267 lbs at 5'4" and felt like I would never lose weight or get healthy. Now at the end of October 2021 I'm at 209 lbs and my A1C is at 7. There is some moderate nausea in the mornings but it's nothing compared to the confidence I'm feeling and the energy I now have. My BMI was at 46, now at 35 and dropping. I would highly recommend ozempic for type 2 diabetes and for weight loss.Read More Read Less

I started this medicine eleven months ago. I started a a low dose.25 mg then gradually went up to 1 mg. It has not brought my glucose levels lower then 7 . I’m always between 7&10 . My a1c is never lower then 7.6 . I have lost a lot of weight from over 200 lbs to now 135.5 lbs . From a size 20 down to 4 . Still losing to much weight. My doctor has now decreased my dose back to .25 mg . Don’t get me wrong I’m feeling okay. But lost to much weight to fast. I pray it is doing damage to my other organs. Read More Read Less

My husband has taken 2 doses of this shot, the tiredness and stomach issues, getting constipated. The tiredness is unreal, his depression is terrible. Yes he fills full very quickly, but what good is that if your quality of life is terrible. I want my husband back how he was. Now he's just a unhappy tired grouchy man. No more of Ozempic for him.

I had been on Rebelysus for a month, no problem. My doctor put me on 1mg of Ozempic, did not tell me of side effects. Started having diarrhea, & burping. This resolved after taking Imodium. Happened again one week later. Now on day 3 of diarrhea, even after Imodium. Going to BR every 30 minutes for watery stool. Have lost 6 pounds this week. My doctor finally told me that fatty food causes this interaction, which I wish I had known. Ozempic clinical trials showed 36% had diarrhea - wish I had known, would never had started. Half life is 1 week, but can stay in your system for 5 weeks. I have missed so much, not worth it!Read More Read Less

Ozempic works very well for me without any side effects in the past 3 months. Before starting the medication, I read some reviews that injecting into thighs instead of abdomen prevent side effects, and it was true. I have lost nearly 20 lb with following a health diet and reducing calorie. My fasting blood sugar, which was around 7.5 has dropped significantly, often in the normal range. I anticipate my A1C is dropped to normal range based on my random reading. I feel great and energetic even though that I have reduced my eating. So give this a try but only inject into thighs and it works. I hope Ozempic would be covered with my insurance, but it is not. This is a game changer med, but I hope those side effects seen in animal studies (pancreas and thyroid conditions) would not be developed with long-term use.Read More Read Less

I was worried about starting Ozempic after hearing reviews and the fact that I have a job that requires me to go to other people's workstations. I figured severe stomach problems wouldn't be good in that case. But, I did not have the severe diarrhea that other people are listing (I'm constipated but I was constipated before I started Ozempic, but that is why I gave it 4 instead of 5 stars on Ease of Use). I started on the .25 mg two weeks ago, my morning blood sugar was around 150-160 when I was taking 1000mg ER of metformin, now they are down to 120-130. I'm thinking they will go down more once I go up to the .5 mg. I have lost a little weight, but weight wasn't an issue for me to begin with. I love only having to take one shot a week (which I don't hardly feel at all) as opposed to two big horse pills that I was taking of the Metformin. I'm not craving sugar anymore either. I still eat my 3 meals a day but I no longer snack like I use to. If you are nervous about trying it, I would say to give it a try. Not everyone is going to have side effects that others have, I know I haven't.Read More Read Less

Took .25 for 3 weeks, first week just some gurgling noises. Second week, severe depression and lethargy in morning, hard to wake up, nausea, breasts got tender, my favorite tea tasted like crap. I usually intermittent fast, eat "breakfast" at noon, and then dinner. I got so shaky from hypoglycemia in the afternoons I had to eat more than I usually do. After the third week, all symptoms elevated even more. No more for me! No weight loss. It did curb the feelings of hunger, but replaced them with nausea.Read More Read Less

Difficult to use. Twisting to - then seeing if it squirts twist to inject needle that bends easily. I always wonder to I got the dose. Why not a quick injection. Its the the worst.

I started taking Ozempic in July 2020 after many failed attempts with different medications to lower blood sugar. I agree with many of the comments about feeling ill and general upset stomach but I stayed with it in hope of my body adapting. After about 3 months the side effects stopped with the occasional nausea feeling (not often). Happy side effect was the loss of 18 lbs and the bonus was my blood sugar went from 7.7 to 6.2 within 6 months. The side effects will pass and for me the proof is in the A1A levels dropping to levels I haven't seen in years. A quick poke every Sunday and I'm good. Read More Read Less

This Ozempic made me very, very ill. I had diarrhea and Gerd for two days after I took it. I was out of commission for those two days for two weeks in a row I was bedridden and I was sitting on the pot all night long. It made my stomach feel like it was filled with rocks and I was loathe to eat anything. I then began having feelings of hopelessness and feelings that life wasn't worth living. I took it for two weeks and I told me doctor I wouldn't take it anymore. It made me feel like an old man and I could not go about my daily activities. I'm still feeling fatigued but slowly getting back to homeostasis. This is maybe for people who weigh 300 pounds and have sky high glucose levels. I weight 160 at 5'8". I'm good with insulin and diet and exercise. I would not recommend it for anyone.Read More Read Less

I’ve been using this med for weightloss for 5 weeks and have lost 18 pounds so far. I’m 6’ tall, female, and was 270 when I started. The only bad thing is I eat so much less calories than I used to that I get fairly tired from not getting the nutrition I need. Still working that out. I don’t crave foods, I make healthy decisions because of that and I am way less hungry than I used to be. No side effects other than nausea if I eat too quickly or too much. Some days worse than others. Over all what anyone should realize is weightloss isn’t easy with or without a drug to assist. I want to be healthier and feel good in my body more than I care about a little nausea and fatigue. I would recommend this to anyone who has a problem getting into a calorie deficit or has uncontrollable cravings. Read More Read Less

This is the worst medicine I've ever taken, I've got the runs and GERD because of this. Also I'm weak and fatigued all the time. I can barely leave the house because I need to be near a toilet. I was happy and healthy before I started this but now I'm fatigued and I have all kinds of aches and pains. I was walking everyday but now I'm just house and bed ridden. I'm not taking it anymore because if I have to live like this life is not worth living. I've missed events I was looking forward to because I was bedridden. Ozempic makes me feel like I've got rocks in my stomach. I can't sleep through the night because the GERD is constant and the diarrhea is constant. I've got gas and I'm burping and farting like a monster. I've got aches and pains I never had before. This isn't for me.Read More Read Less

I started this medicine 5 weeks ago and about week 2 I started having ringing of the ears. Around this time I also did receive my first hearing for the ear that is ringing. So I am not sure if the ringing is from me having hearing lose of if its the medicine. Has anyone else had this issue but wasn't sure if its from the medicine but never said anything?
