I just went from .25 mg to .5 mg today so I've completed a full two weeks on this medication. I've lost 5 pounds to date which doesn't feel like very much considering how little I'm eating. I haven't felt hunger in two weeks and my cravings are significantly less. I'm hoping that as I go up in dosage that my weight loss will accelerate. I take other medications that increase my blood sugar leve...
I was in the pre diabetic range when I started to use this medication. It was given to me for two reasons. One to help me manage my sugars better and to help me lose weight. But personally it did not help me lose weight but it did help me bring my A1C from 6.0 to 5.9. My A1C was at 6.0 before I started Ozempic. I started to use this medication somewhere in July or August of 2021, and had to stop i...

I want to warn others about the risk of using Ozempic. My 36 year old son was prescribed Ozempic by his doctor. My son was only slightly overweight but was hoping to shed a few pounds. After 3 months of use, he'd become lethargic, depressive, and was having suicidal thoughts, emotions he'd never previously experienced. He stopped taking Ozempic, but a month later ended his life by suicide. Our family, needless to say, is heartbroken over the loss of our wonderful son, brother, husband, and father. If this warning serves to caution and save even one individual, I will be grateful to have helped.Read More Read Less

Started Ozempic at very low dose and over 4 weeks worked up to .25 mg. Once I got to .25 got very sick with terrible heartburn and abdominal pain. Taking Prilosec, Tums, Milk of Magnesia and symptoms will subside for a couple of hours until I eat again and are especially bad at bedtime and early afternoon. I haven’t lost a pound! Doctor told me to stop for a week and go back to low dose but I think this experiment is over! If a drug makes you feel this bad and you don’t see results makes no sense to continue. Happy for the people that can take it successfully.Read More Read Less

I take the injection in my thigh and I have had no side effects. I don't think about food and I have lost 21 pounds in 4 weeks. I will start the 0.5 on Saturday. I am not a diabetic but I am obese with CKD. My husband has lost 24 pounds in 4 weeks, and on May 28, 2024 his A1C was 9.0 and on June 30, 2024 it showed 7.1. His surgeon said it had to be 7.9 before he could have shoulder replacement surgery on July 18th. We consider this drug a miracle. Don't be scared to try it, inject only in the thigh, don't eat sugar or overeat and you too will see. By the way, we are both 64, and highly recommend OZEMPIC!!Read More Read Less

I have another review on here and don't know how to update it. Had blood pressure issues and was determined that this medication can and often times will affect it. They took me off some of my BP meds and I'm glad its normal readings. Started this week on the .05 dosage in my first injector- within a day I had problems breathing. Im fine at rest but any exertion /movement I find myself short of breath. I had serious covid in 2021 and have a home oxygen unit that I fired up to help me. Will let Dr know this week since it falls under "serious" side effect" Read More Read Less

I am on week 4 of .25 and its been 3 weeks of on and off severe constipation. My sleep pattern was not good for years but this past 3 weeks its worsened. Typical nausea, tiredness, indigestion, the usual side effects which I could live with. Whats got me confused is my blood pressure. I was on medications before Ozempic and for the first 2 weeks, Dr kept me on them. Then my BP has bottomed out. 90s and 100s over 55 to 65. They removed me from my meds but week 3 I am still having double digit BP readings- I have yet to read of anyone else having this as an issue. I have PCOS and was alway about 6.0 for my A1C and sometimes less, but this one has me and my Dr baffled. May have to stop it if I dont find an answer. Read More Read Less

It doesn’t work, made me very sick. Tried to return the bottles but never received the return label which you have to pay for. Emailed today to get the label for the second time and was told I was out of the 60 day window. Keep in mind this was after they told me to keep taking it longer so the side effects subside. It MADE ME SICK, why would I keep taking it.

Shocking side effects of diarrhoea nausea and the most horrific sulphur burps I’ve ever experienced. They continued even after weeks and weeks and reducing to minimum dose. In the end I did not feel it was worth it.

The benefits has been wonderful. I am not hungry all the time, not fighting my body to medicate with food that doesn't work. Only issues are a time of tummy upsets but were very mild. Not an issue. Down 97 lbs since last year this time Dec. 2022.

Ozempic was prescribed for me by my doctor to help me lose weight, as I am pre diabetic with high blood pressure and other heart issues. I did lose about 10 pounds in about 6 weeks. However, I experienced extreme fatigue, hair loss, and depression. I felt awful. My doctor encouraged me to continue taking it, and discounted my symptoms. I couldn’t wait to finish the pen. and felt better within a few days. Please use caution when using this drug. If you don’t feel well, stop taking it. I wish I had stopped sooner. Read More Read Less

I am writing this to share what me and my children are going through since we are the caregivers to a family member who was prescribed this medicine for weightloss purposes....my sister started taking it on november 5th within hours she was extremely ill and could not keep anything down ....we are trying to get her to allow us to call an ambulance but she is refusing and thinks the symptoms will subside in a few days ....we are on day 4 now since she started taking this ....I want to warn people this medication is not worth dealing with the side effects for the outcome of losing weight....please do your research on ozempic and talk to others before you take itRead More Read Less

I was so happy when my dr suggested I take Ozempic as I needed to lose 30 pounds. I had to stop Ozempic after 4 months due to severe constipation (yes, I drink a lot of water) and I was so depressed with suicidal thoughts. I was so lethargic and could barely get off the couch most days. It did cause me eat way less but the side effects tremendously outweighed the benefits.

I am getting off Ozempic after being on it 3 months. Started at .25. Made so nauseated every day. Threw up twice. No wonder I lost weight. After starting .5 dose the constipation began. Horrible constipation. Made my hemorrhoid bleed and left me with a sore behind. Couldn't leave the house until I had a bm or else I might get stuck for 40 minutes in a public restroom. All throughout this drug made me super fatigued & dizzy. Glad to get of of it. Lost 15lbs but my life was miserable.

I was worried originally about possible stomach issues before starting ozempic and asked the weight-loss Doctor about it. She said uncomfortableness would last a few days.
I immediately felt like I had Covid or the flu for 22 days. A slow recovery after. I was so sick to my stomach and had diarrhea or constipation so badly I did not eat an entire 22 days. The 22nd I knew things would start shutting down so I forced half of a banana down. The next day the same. I slowly was able to eat more but I couldn’t because my stomach was so incredibly ill and hurting the entire 22 days. Of course I lost 16 pounds those 3 weeks… but I would not quit and do it again. I was able to stretch my first pen with 0.25 and put it in my thigh starting the second week, I’ve since heard that as a recommendation. I cannot tell you the next 2 weeks were any easier. I’d have spells of fever at 103° and drank as much water I could. Probably 16oz a day. 1 glass. Forced. It felt horrible once I did but I knew I needed water. I probably should have gone to the er for fluids and nutrients.. if that’s possible. I was determined. I couldn’t get out of bed like sick unless I ran to the restroom. Absolute misery.Read More Read Less

The subcut needle is very short. There are longer subcut needles when I inject and hold into my skin for 10-15 seconds I let go of my skin and medication is still coming out of the needle. Provide longer subcut needles in the packages so people get all of the med weekly
