Awful. My hair is falling out and I've gained 12lbs. Time to switch.

Well I started this birth control about 7 months ago and at first it worked well, almost no period which I enjoyed, acne cleared up a lot, but thennn. The mood swings are insane, wayyyy more depressed and my anxiety is wayyy worse. My acne is the worse it’s literally ever been, I’m constantly bloated and gained 15 pounds in the first 3 months, constantly having headaches too. DO NOT RECOMMEND AT ALL.

This has worked for me a lot. This is my first time on the pill and I’m taking larin fe 1/20. I take the pill every 3 months and take a week break to get my period. I did experience a few weeks of bleeding and feeling like I was pregnant because my gums started bleeding and I was craving a lot of foods. However, I can say with confidence that this pill is fantastic in preventing pregnancy. Me and my boyfriend have pretty much been intimate and the only protection we use is the pill. The pill has made me more emotional, but not that much in my opinion. I haven’t experienced any negative side effects of birth control. I was on Larin for nearly 3 years and it was probably the best birth control I've ever taken. I've since had to go to a higher dose and a different birth control, but I miss my Larin. Never got pregnant- and I wasn't the best about taking it at the same time every day (I was a dumb teen- now I am very responsible about it). Barely any side effects, didn't help or hurt my acne, and made my periods a little more bearable. I decided to take it pack to pack (365) and I only got about 2.5 periods in a year. I only switched because I decided I wanted to try and get my period back but also have it be bearable, so I'm now taking a pill with more horomones. Wish me luck. Read More Read Less

Tried 5 brands in total and this is the one I'm most satisfied with. Almost no side effects. I assume mild level of mood swings is normal cuz of the high estrogen level. Microgestin 1/20 makes me wanting to vomit, Junel Fe 1/20 makes me gain weight, Minastrin 24 Fe makes me really really moody, Blisovi Fe 1/20 was alright but I didn't take it long enough to feel the side effects. So far Larin Fe 1/20 works best for me

This is the third bc I've tried. Happy about it! First I was on Minastrin 24 Fe. Mood swing oh my.... Would cry at any moment Then Microgestin. Nausea, migraine and constipated all the time! Latin Fe saved me and very happy about it. No side effects at all
