Unfortunately I can’t tolerate statins very well, my liver enzymes increase significantly on them. For that reason, my cardiologist prescribed for Repatha. After my first shot, I had some back pain, but it was tolerable and was excited to proceed with my second shot. A day after my second shot, I experienced the most horrific pain in my toes and my feet. It felt like they were simultaneously frozen and burning, almost like they were frostbitten. This has continued for over 14 days. My doctor says this is not a side effect of this medication, but there is no other reason that this strange symptom would occur suddenly. I will not be taking another shot and hopefully I can find some other way to manage my cholesterol.Read More Read Less

this medication has been very effective for me, after statins gave side effects and other meds were not effective, Total Cholesterol from 290 to 180. If medication could be in oral or sublingual it would be better than giving myself an injection. But, for the benefits and prevention of heart disease I will continue the med. No side effects.
