I was in a lot of pain in my lower back and shooting pain down my leg for months, and had increasing difficulty in walking and sleeping. I had been forced to use a cane, and a scooter to get around and I could no longer walk any distance. I had to stop physical therapy because the pain was too bad and epidural injections seemed to offer little relief. The MRI indicated that I had tissue from a her...
Joint damage from Lime. I took 400mg for seven days. Terrible fever, fast heart, heart pain and a heart attack on seventh day. Dr. said I was allergic to it. I would never take again.

My joints are rapidly deteriorating, and I experience severe pain to almost every joint in my body. I will be started on methotrexate in about 1 week from now. My rheumatologist stated that I have one of the highest RA factor that he has seen in a long time. Celebrex has not helped me at all, and friends and family says I am more moody since taking this medicine. I hope methotrexate will be more successful.

I am 24 and have (DDD)which causes chronic back pain and neck pain. My problems all started after a car accident. I was on celebrex for sometime and it worked for a little while but after a while it didn't seem to help anymore. My doctor's idea was to up the dose which meant getting more of course and if you have taken it then you know it kind of pricy!!! I weighed my options and factoring in the fact that it would only work for a while and it's price would interfere with feeding my child. I had to stop using it. Working a full-time job, with a minimum of 10hours a week in overtime and having pretty descent health insurance I should have been able to afford my medication. It seemed kind of redundant to cause myself more pain just for it to quit working in three or four months. Read More Read Less

My husband is taking this for his back pain. He also drinks alcohol and yesterday he said it made him feel more intoxicated. I know he should not be drinking and taking this medication. Should this be a side effect?

I am 82..Been on celebrex 4 years. My grandchildren joke that I am 'half human' as I do not have an opposable right thumb. That makes it very difficult to do a lot of normal functions...The thumb joint is in constant pain. What over the counter pain reliever would help?

this has been a wonder drug for me, I have bilateral hip replacements and 1 partial knee replacement, and need another knee replaced. If I don't take Celebrex everyday, I can't walk without extreme pain.
