I was in a lot of pain in my lower back and shooting pain down my leg for months, and had increasing difficulty in walking and sleeping. I had been forced to use a cane, and a scooter to get around and I could no longer walk any distance. I had to stop physical therapy because the pain was too bad and epidural injections seemed to offer little relief. The MRI indicated that I had tissue from a her...

Joint damage from Lime. I took 400mg for seven days. Terrible fever, fast heart, heart pain and a heart attack on seventh day. Dr. said I was allergic to it. I would never take again.

I experienced severe reaction to this medication after taken it for three months. Hair loss and sloughing of skin. I stopped taking it and my hair started to grow back but the sloughing of skin maybe permanent. It`s been a year and my skin is not back . I discussed it with my doctor and all he did was put it in my medical records as a medicine that I have an allergic reaction to. I`m praying everyday for a miracle and I have faith God will heal my body and make my skin like new again.

4 days on this med and my lower back pain is manageable however, today I am experiencing sharp pain (ache) in the left mid adominable cavity. I have read numerous comments by celebrex users but non have mentioned a ache as I am experiencing. My thoughts are directed towards the liver but would appreciate feedback from other users that may have had this reaction.

I was recently prescribed Celebrex for my arthritis pain (primarily in my hips). I'm suppose to take one capsule twice a day. One capsule does NOTHING to relieve the pain. I've been taking two a time just to see if it helpsd. So far it hasn't, at least to any significant degree.

I started taking this med in 2005. By 2007 I felt that I had become immune to it so my Dr. changed meds. In 2008 I had surgery and the Ortho Dr. put me back on it. Now I feel that I'm back where I started.....immune to it.

Tried lots of meds after my car accident. Celebrex works great and I only need 1 200 mg pill a day. It is expensive though.

I started on 200mg in May 2013 for chronic lower back inflammation due to sports injuries. The MRI also showed 4 disks being effected by degenerative disease. Both of my knees have had Arthroscopic surgery due to meniscus tears - they both have degenerative joint disease as well. Remarkably, after three days on Celecoxib (Celebrex), not only did my lower back feel better than it has in 25 years, I also was feeling far less pain in both knees. It is now December 22, 2013 and I take a daily dose of 200mg in the morning with breakfast. I made sure I was a good candidate for this medication before continuing after it the first month. I am fortunate not to have liver, kidney or heart problems. I am an avid tennis player (hard courts in winter - clay courts in summer). I am also a Tennis Instructor during New England's spring, summer and fall seasons. I highly recommend this drug - just be sure to have a good talk with your doctor about being a "good" candidate for this medication. Best of luck with your aches and pains. Happy Holidays too!Read More Read Less

I was having bad knee pain and the doctor prescribed this for me after trying lots of different things. It has worked well for me and has taken the inflammation down a lot.

The medication did the job it was supposed to for me however the side effects forced me to quit taking it. I developed severe shortness of breath and my heart would feel like it was racing. I had never had any problems with my breathing prior to taking this drug. Today I suffer from asthma.

Worked to ameliorate inflammatory pain following neck surgery BUT caused very scary visual impairment characterized by blurred vision and a vertigo-like balance. Thus, I will never take this medicine again as it took nearly two weeks following cessation of use to have my vision return to normal.

When I do not take it, I know it. When I begin again I notice immediate results.
