I was in a lot of pain in my lower back and shooting pain down my leg for months, and had increasing difficulty in walking and sleeping. I had been forced to use a cane, and a scooter to get around and I could no longer walk any distance. I had to stop physical therapy because the pain was too bad and epidural injections seemed to offer little relief. The MRI indicated that I had tissue from a her...

Joint damage from Lime. I took 400mg for seven days. Terrible fever, fast heart, heart pain and a heart attack on seventh day. Dr. said I was allergic to it. I would never take again.

I have increasing osteoarthritis. Celebrex is the only medication that has ever worked, and it works wonderfully. It's an NSAID, which is too bad, since I had a GI bleed (NOT due to Celebrex). I don't know what I'd do without Celebrex!

I've been on Celexa for ten years and feeling well, very productive and lively. I took a first treatment for back pain with Celebrex for 10 days, without much results. My doctor recommended a longer treatment with Celebrex. After 25 days of treatment with Celebrex the back and muscular pain has lessened noticeably, but the symptoms of depression were back. Loss of appetite, extreme fatigue, sadness, no concentration, no more interest in activity I usually like very much. All I wanted was to sleep without never coming back. I stopped celebrex. My mental condition has returned to normal after 4 days off Celebrex. I keep going on with Celexa and...joint pain. This was not a good mix for me.Read More Read Less

I had rotater cuff damage in shoulder. Decent pain coverage. Last month started having bilateral leg swelling along with my hands. Have gone off 1 week with much improvement in swelling. Miss the pain coverage all around.. Trying SSRI cymbalta. I have patients that swear by it w/o problems. Hmmmmm We'll see.

I also have diabetes, gallstones, and RSD. I took only ONE Celebrex 100 mg. Within 2 days I began to have very dark urine, stomach and leg pains, and swelling. Maybe Celebrex doesn't mix with all my other meds, but I had a very bad reaction.

I used celebrex in 2002 and had no side effects. It stoped the pain from my sciatic nerve.I'am testing it starting to day due disc bulges in my lumbar area. And once again I have lights out pain and zero fexibility. It seems to be helping me again,I honestly can say, to me it is a wonder drug.

I took Celebrex for 5 weeks to treat arthritis and swelling in a knee. I believe it helped but started having frequent and severe migraines, so I discontinued for 3 weeks. Then SUDDENLY I awoke with UNBEARABLE pain in entire body cavity- turned out to be intestinal ischemia treated with emergency surgery. Had to have 4 (four) feet of small intestine removed. It was "dead". No rhyme or reason ever found for the ischemia. I am 63 yr old healthy woman with no major issues besides migraines. I suspect Celebrex to be the cause and would not recommend it to anyone. The warning of "intestinal problems" is not very specific. Beware!!Read More Read Less

Although Celebrex eased the pain and swelling in my knee, I have now developed a sensitivity to it. After being off the Celebrex for a few months, I took it again due to knee pain/swelling. I developed a severe redness and intense itching on my forehead, cheeks, nose and around my lips. I also had itchy patches on my arms and back, to the point I had to take Benadryl. Although I was very pleased with the relief I got with the knee pain, I am disappointed that I cannot take the medication now. Read More Read Less

After about 6 months of taking this drug I developed a blood clot in my left thigh diagnosis was deep vein thrombosis I am still undergoing treatment to try and get rid of the blood clot. I have been taken Warfrin for about 4 months. If the blood clot doesn't dissolve in about 2 months more I will have to see a specialist.
