This medication works for me after all the other antidepressants either didn't work at all or stopped working. And NO...I do not work for a drug company. This medication started working much faster than others I've tried or been on and I don't to worry about the hellish withdrawal side effects I experienced when I stopped taking Effexor and celexa. I haven't gained any weight (I've actually lost a...

This was the most annoying medication to actually acquire from the pharmacy. I had to go THREE times because of the SAME issue! (That it needed approval from my doctor). And then make sure you activate their discount card before your pharmacy actually fills it. The issues surrounding this medication are not worth its effects. My doctor gave me samples to try beforehand, and honestly, I should have...

First medication I have taken, has really helped turn things around for me and allow me to function when Iâ??d rather not. When I first started taking it I dealt with some severe and rather extreme anxiety which was not a regular issue for me but with time began to pass and is manageable.

I work in a high functioning job and take this drug for anxiety and mild depression. It worked for me and taking it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach seems to cut out any nausea.

I have been on this medication for only a few days and I am not a huge fan of the side effects. I am already experiencing the extreme nausea/vomiting, itching and weird dreams. I am currently waiting to hear back from my doctor to see if I can take something for nausea. Also experiencing occasional dizziness.

I have been on Trintellix for a little over a year. At first I had to overcome the nausea, but once I got through that, I felt the best emotionally that I have ever felt. No debilitating paranoia and anxiety about my interactions with other people! After a couple of months I started experiencing eye pain. It would come and go.Then I started feeling more tired than usual. I had routine bloodwork done and it showed my sodium level was low. No reason for that to happen- I read the list of Trintellix side effects and low sodium is one! Fast forward to today- went to get an eye exam for possible LASIK procedure- they told me I was not a candidate because I have an eye condition called EBDM(Epithelial Basement Membrane Dystrophy). Now I have had eye exams every year or so for the past 10 years and no one has ever diagnosed this before! I wonder if there is a connection between Trintellix/Eye pain/EBDM. I would love to know if anyone else has been diagnosed with this. And maybe those on Trintellix experiencing eye pain should be checked for it. A little afraid of how it will affect my emotions, but I will need to go off Trintellix I think.Read More Read Less

I've suffered depression for years and have been on many antidepressants in the past effector, zoloft paxil and I would end up coming off of them due to side effect especially weight gain. I had almost given up on taking medication for depression when my doc prescribed trintellix. I can honestly say this medication helped me save my own life . I have been on it a little over a year and lost the excess weight and my relationships have improved tremendously. The only side effect was a bit nausea at the beginning g which eventually went away. This med is amazing. Thank you trintellix!Read More Read Less

zoloft, effexor, you name it, been there. Most 'helped' a lot, but I always had dips into depression and struggled with fatigue all the time. But with this I can honestly say I feel 'normal' for the first time in decades. It's been great for me personally. I understand some people have problems with side-effects, and I feel bad that they do. I didn't have any. only positive results.

Okay here's my problem and I don't really know where exactly and who exactly to reach out for for the help .It's one of those things similar to the cure for cancer which none of humanity has. But thanks to the advancement of science I have come so far up here. I am suffering from chronic depression or I don't know what to call it -since most of my recollectable life. The symptoms are same as depression though . So once in a while , an antidepressant works and I am all fine(venlaflaxine and trintellix out of about 20 ssri, snri, trycyclic, etc) ,beyond fine even .I achieve zen mode. This is not the same being high or extra active or extrovert . I dont become aggressive or anything .Just that I become super nice and super intelligent and super communicative sort of way and it's like I get the root access to my mind and I can control it . Then , the effect starts to fade as I can distinctly perceive the day-by-day changes in hormone as my perception, memory(most important) mood and processing power slowly decreases . Now I know this can be fixed. I know there is one hormone or a combination of it that is changing by the time . I just need someone to perform tests and analyse the levels. So once I know the root cause ,I can take the exact medication instead of trying to trial-error a bunch of them which takes a hell lot of time .Any one has seen/face/experienced this and found out the root cause ? I am asking the experts here .Please help out. If you can fix this /your suggestion works out ,mind me ,you will be duly rewarded . Read More Read Less

This medication changed my life. I've tried a few other drugs previously, including venlafaxine, that worked for a while but with side-effects (especially impotence) that I couldn't tolerate. Brintellix started working for me right away with not a single side-effect, at least initially. Now I wonder if it might be the reason I need a little more sleep than I used to, but if that's my only complaint I think I can put up with it.

Before this I took a generic of Celexa and it made me 10 times worse. I’m finishing the first week of this drug on 5mg and I feel so much better. I have had a slight migraine on and off but tolerable!

I have only been on this medication for a couple days, so just reviewing the side effects. The first day I had a bit of dry mouth, sleepiness and nausea which was tolerable and went away fast, second day I had a bit of nausea and confusion that didn't last long. I'm only on day four of the 5 mg's and not noticing any side effects, I will be going up to 10 mg after a week. I actually already feel my mood boosting. I was on pristiq before and had to go off of it because of a very rare but severe reaction (pancreatitis). I was hesitant to go onto another antidepressant because I had just finished withdrawing from Pristiq which was terrible and I wasn't ready for more bad side effects but my depression came back quickly and I needed to do something. I am pleasantly surprised with the lack of side effects from Trintillex and I will give an update after a couple months of use.Read More Read Less

HORRIFIC EXPERIENCE! I have had a severe off the charts migraine and eye pain for 2 solid months. Since I had suffered from migraines and chronic sinusitis most of my life I thought it was that. Also my one eye really hurt badly. I had to go to urgent Care center to get pain shots several times a week. It was insane. Finally I read the side effects of Trintellix! It was migraines and eye pain! Also I was constantly vomitting and had diarrhea...I strongly don't suggest this drug! I'm going back on Lexapro. It has really been the only antidepressant that has worked on me for years. That and celexa. Wellbutrin isn't bad either. Read More Read Less
