First, ill make it clear thr previous post are patients obviously not seeking ccare from an MD but receibing diverted meds. I was on Suboxone for 3 years and a white collar business professional I highly prefer Bunavail. Love how it easily sticks to cheek allowing me to talk while dosing!!! Take practice getting use to but once you get the hang of it, it rocks. As a maintenence patient I like ...
Worst imitation drug ever made.. " DO NOT BELIEVE ANYTHING ABOUT BUNAVAIL " 5 days me and my fiancee have switched from Suboxone , and were both slowly sinking into withdrawals. Day 6 didn't even care if I took it or not. Tenncare and all these other State funded INS Co are gonna cause a lot of people to relapse over this..

34 y/o female, oxy addict. I started on 2mg of Suboxone, I worked my way up to roughly 5mg. I could no longer take the debilitating migraines & constipation. When I switched to Bunavail, I went from 5-6 mg of Subs, to 2 doses of 2.1 Bunavail daily. CONS: 2.1mg Bunavail is not even close to 4mg of Subs -not even remotely, which is what the manufacture claims. Initially, I had significant WD symptoms when transitioning to Bunavail, 2.1, twice daily. Yes, the film can 'scroll' in your mouth, and takes time to dissolve. I wait 45 min before spitting out 'gew'. PROS: Fewer migraines. I have regular bowel movements. My body is still trying to 'level out' with this new dosing & I'm struggling a bit with lethargy, motivation & sleep - but I'm committed to giving it time. In about three months, I have a plan to start tapering. IF you're someone who is in survival mode because of sub side effects - TRY Bunavail, but KNOW the dosing is NOT what the manufacture indicates. It's closer to 2.1 = 2 MG of sub. God bless anyone struggling with addiction.Read More Read Less

This is the end of my first week trying Bunavail. Currently I am taking the 4.2 mg dosage. Previously I was taking suboxone 8mg. Some issues I have experienced with Bunavail and how I managed them are the difficulty with the film rolling when placed inside the cheek area. My doctor actually told me to cut the films in half and place each half on each side of cheek. I had to play around a little for the first couple days to find the right method for me. Ive found that if I place the films inside my cheek area between where my teeth are and close my mouth without allowing my teeth to meet and close down I have better results with no rollingfrom the film. This also prevents me from talking and have to also swallow very carefully. So basically using this method its not easy to talk or swallow but it is effective to prevent rolling of the film. Overall the dosage is effective for what it is supposed to do. Im prescribed 2 films daily and I can take them both in the morning or take 1 in the morning and the 2nd later on. Ive had more success taking both in the morning. Its time consuming because I have to cut them in half and take 1 film, let that dissolve and then take the 2nd film (cut in half). Also the film will fall off and turn into a gummy wad when absorption is complete. The dont dissolve. Takes about 15-20 mins for compete absorption.Read More Read Less

I can guarantee you that the reason most poeple hate it is because it does not give you a high feeling. hands down number one reason. i love opiates and love the high so when i took bunavail i was disappointed by not getting any sort of high. you have to get into the mindset that you are not trying to get high anymore, but you are trying to be cured of your addiction. once i forgot about the high and focused on recovery the medicine worked fine. it took away my cravings, put me in a good mood, and probably helped save my life and marriage. stop focusing on the high and focus on getting better, trust me bunavail works.Read More Read Less

To the people saying those posting negative reviews just wanna be high and probably don't even have doctors, shut up! You don't know what another person's experience is and your statements are ignorant. This drug made me physically ill. Did not sleep for 4 days, had painful, difficult urination, day 5 I had violent vomiting and debilitating upper GI pain, it took 30 minutes to dissolve and even after that, I was spitting out slimy chunks. My Doctor switched the prescription to suboxone and I'm getting much better relief from withdrawal symptoms and anxiety associated with all that that entails. So grateful for suboxone.Read More Read Less

Terrible experience with this med. Didn't sleep for 4 days, difficulty urinating, too long to dissolve, left chunks in my mouth after 30 minstrel and had to spit it out. Day 5 started vomiting and having debilitating upper stomach pain. Doctor prescribed suboxone instead and it's much more effective without all the horrendous side effects. So grateful for suboxone!

I have maintained on Suboxone for a while now. Working towards getting my head and life together. This change to Bunavail is definitely a setback. It does not work as well in maintaining a normal feeling. Wears off fairly quick and it almost always feels like you are starting W/D. I am shocked they promote this as being equal to Suboxone.

This drug absorbs quicker than Suboxone amd ut takes less mg to keep you well, for all those negative reviews, it is obvious that these people did not give it a chance and or are not trying to get better. Bunavail works great.

Does not work as well as other bupe products. It is oversized and takes to long to dissolve. If it was smaller and dissolved faster then it would be a better product.

I tried this once before and knew it could help me get off Suboxone when I was ready. After 8 years on subs, I'm ready. I had to wait for the pharmacy to order these over the weekend, and after a week of tapering on subs already, I was pretty uncomfortable by the time I got them on Monday. I resisted temptation and took only a quarter strip. I placed it under my tongue, as it works better for me that way, since my tongue wants to flick it off my cheek. It sets in slowly but I kept feeling better by the minute. It didn't wear off overnight as subs seemed to do, and I woke up feeling great. This is the way to go if you're finally ready to get of the merry go-round of doctors and pharmacies, especially if you lost your insurance as I have.Read More Read Less

Here's the basics.... in my opinion, your opinion of bunavail is based on what you're trying to accomplish. Myself, I don't wanna feel high anymore. I've been involved in this too long. Bunavail has allowed me to continue my daily activities worry free. I definitely don't get the buzz I used to get from suboxone. But for me, that's perfect. It's what I want. But if you enjoy the buzz you get from suboxone, you're not gonna get it with bunavail. So look inside yourself and really decide where you are at, mentally, and if you want to take another step toward repairing your life overall, I recommend bunavail. If your answer is that they aren't strong enough, in my opinion, you are not at a mental stage where you are ready to improve. It's effective if you know what you are trying to accomplish. Okay, let me explain why I put so many low stars. If you can NOT afford Suboxone, you WILL make do with this. You WILL be okay, but money wise, in comparison, it's just very ineffective. I have used it for over 3 weeks now, will NOT be going back to it. And you can get a free trial today! That really did seem like a shrill for the company. I actually stumbled on a board of them from different companies insulting each other like blood sucking car salesman, pharm reps are maggots. If it isn't in the majority, doesn't trust a review, they ARE often BS.Read More Read Less

I hate it. I only did it because it was free . I wish suboxone didn't cost as much as it does. It sure does work 10xs beter than bunabutt.i mean bunavail. It's my 3rd try to come off and same thing g First day off subs and on this. Sweats, chills grumpy, tired and bla. If I had back pain I'd be in full withdraw.lol I have to make it to thursday to my Dr's appointment till I can get my subs . I guess I am glad I had this but I'd rather have the subs anyday

It doesn't absorb as well as suboxone. It sometimes takes 45 minutes and I still have to spit it out. I think suboxone controls cravings and kills pain better than bunavail. Just because I'm not giving a positive review does not mean I'm getting it on the street. The poster who implied that the negative reviewers don't have doctors is probably a shill for the drug manufacturer.

I have been addicted to pills then heroin for over ten years. I have tried methadone and suboxone and find this to be the best. No horrible after taste or cravings and I am using half amount of suboxone. I am also saving a lot of money with rebate card thing. Very thankful my dr prescribed this as it is future of medication assisted treatment. Don't know why other people had negative stuff to say and if you doubt me you can get free trial right now and see for yourself.

This is the future of this med and shame of Reckitt....ok i will stop :)Read More Read Less

I agree with the previous poster. It takes over an hour and a half and there is still a small amount left. I don't feel like the medicine works well at all... I'm simply not recieving all of the medicine because its not properly absorbing into my cheek.
