I've decided to write a review since there are a lot of neg ones. I'll be honest, when I first took this I didn't have the most pleasant experience and reading some reviews freaked me out. Here's my history -- I was diagnosed with yeast infection last year by my obgyn of which she prescribed a one day oral medicine. It took a few days for it to work, but I don't recall having any side effect...

I wish I had read the comments before purchasing this. What started out as a slight itch turned into a monster after using this product. I used this at about 10pm right before I went to bed. By a little after 12am I woke up to a whitish discharge so a pad is a must but that wasn't all. I was Itching and burning so bad I almost cried. I went to the bathroom and rinse off with water several times an...

I took Monistat 1 (ovule) on a Sunday night around 9pm. I put a panty liner on because I knew once the ovule started working it would seep out. I had a mild yeast infection with only mild itching. I go to the gym frequently and wear thongs so I dont think my vagina could breath and also having a moist area down there from sweating and not taking showers immediately after for the yeast to form during the gym over time. After Sunday night, on Monday all my symptoms of itching and heavy discharge went away but the medicine still lingers around for more than 4 days now with a white odorless discharge with a light oil film and feel to it with tiny white clumps, which I seen is normal in other reviews. It is just annoying that it still lingers after days. I didnt use the external cream because my outside area was fine and not itching even when I had the yeast infection but I recommend to anyone NOT to use the external cream, many women seem to have worst conditions after so I avoided it. If I were anyone I would just go to a doctor or urgent care to get a pill, it's much easier, less messy and more effective. I hope this helps ladies! Read More Read Less

Best thing ever in two days my yeast infection was completely gone! I think we all are different and react differently I absolutely will use it again!

I have used the 3 day treatment and had good results. I used the 1 day treatment and woke up with very swollen vagina lips!!! This must be way to strong. I will never use your products again.

Okay so this was my first YI and I was miserable til 2 a.m. I finally went to the 24 hour store and got Monistat. I didn't care about the horrible reviews about the intense increase in itching, it had to be worth not dealing with this YI any longer during the holidays non-the-less. So I inserted and felt relief almost immediately. A few moments later I wanted to die it itched sooooo bad. I stuck it out though, went to bed finally around 4 a.m. and the next morning I didnt experience any more YI symptoms. Even if you experience the side efdecrs, that means it was working great and like I had read, peroxide burns on cuts meaning its working. What treatment has been completely pain free, or irritant free? Read More Read Less

DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID!! I usually purchase the 3 day ovule pack but decided to try the 1 day ovule this time around. HUGE mistake. It was a mild YI so I thought this would just knock it out and I would be good as new. I inserted the egg on Friday evening. The burning sensation increased along with the itching. I told myself "it's working". It is now Sunday night. My parts are on FIRE. Going to the restroom is torture. I'm raw and swollen. When I try to dry off, I end up with little blood spots on the toilet tissue. Thought washing with a cool washcloth would help. No such luck. I will NEVER EVER use the 1 day ovule ever again. This is a horrid product!!!! The pain, burning, swelling, etc is just not worth it!Read More Read Less

Treatment worse than the infection. Left me very swollen & red to the point of looking deformed. Became very painful & resulted in a trip to the ER.

Well I had a mild yeast infection( no itching just everything else) and decided to use Monistat 1 because I didn't want to do this process multiple times. After I inserted it I read all the reviews and freaked out so I just went to sleep and I was fine. About three hours into it I got up and I started to get really itchy, but it was bearable. It only bothered me and started itching when I was up and moving around, so I went back to bed and slept fine. This morning seemed alright, a couple hours into work there was some itching and burning, and now 24 hours in its burning and itching and so uncomfortable. Not much has came out so im wondering if I need to get some out?? Everyone else says theirs had seeped out by now. That's a gross word.. anyways this sucks, its feels worse than before. Now feels like I have a uti and a yeast infection, and the cream burns don't use it!!!Read More Read Less

I used this product on Sunday around 9pm just before bed. Monday I wore panty liners and used feminine wipe after tinkling and reapplied the accompanying cream every two hours. I received immeadiate relief from the itching after the cream application. During the later hours of Monday night I had HEAVY discharge but I was itch and burn free. No negative side effects such as the "extreme" burning others experienced.

This product is very easy to use. The description of the burning it causes is, for the most part, VERY over dramatic and exaggerated. Yes, this product does burn. It feels more like a really cold sensation, kind of like icy hot or something similar. I actually like it, as I know that it is getting the job done. It also creates a mess that the instructions did not inform me of...I don't know what I thought would happen, but there is a large quantity of thick white cream discharge that is not a normal vaginal discharge. Keep that in mind when you are deciding what to wear while you have this product in...aside from these things, it has calmed my initial symptoms and it is working well. I would recommend this product. Read More Read Less

I was very hesitate to use this product because of the bad reviews, but it has worked wonderfully. I have heard of lot of reviewers say it burned horribly, but I felt absolutely nothing. My horrible itch disappeared within one day, and I feel a million times better. I would definitely recommend this to my friends. In fact, one of them recommended it to me because it worked so well for her. I feel very sorry for those who this product did not work for.

DO NOT USE THIS PRODUCT!!! Please head the warnings. If you have never used Monistat 1, it is not worth the risk. I inserted the ovule at 3am on Saturday night. Everything seemed fine as of 4am when I finally laid down for bed I thought the people who wrote the negative reviews were babies. No burning, no itching, nothing more then the mild yeast infection symptoms. Come the morning I was still ok. Slightly itchy and uncomfortable, nothing leaked out most of the day, it was annoying but tolerable and if it cured the infection... im fine with that. But then the Devil unleashed. Come 7 pm on Sunday I was burning, noticed light bleeding, and I couldn't sit still. I used a mirror to examine my area and it was red. Not the usual reddish pink color a vulva is... no no I mean RED. And I noticed a few little lacerations on my inner labia. I used a cooling wipe and it calmed shortly later... back to irritating and itchy, still red but not as unbearable. Now 2pm on Monday I just got out of the shower after removing the cream. I couldn't bear it. I woke up on fire. Couldn't sit still, swollen, now as red as the tip of a hot poker. I felt like someone took a hot coal and placed it inside me. I called the number on the box and they told me that it is normal for the itching and burning to increase for a few hours but since it had been well over 24 hours to remove the product and call my doctor. I don't believe in douching because it can cause more harm then good and using my finger to remove the cream was painful. I was so swollen I could barely fit my finger inside. I WILL NEVER USE THIS DEVIL PRODUCT AGAIN! As it turns out most women can not bear it. And to those who have had good experiences... kudos to you and your vagina of steel. But for anyone who has not tried it yet... it isn't worth the risk. Wait until you can call a doctor and get Dyflucan or use a more gentle product. MAYBE the 7 day isn't so bad but I wont risk it.Read More Read Less

I used Miconazole Nitrate 1 1200 mg and suffered second degree burns and blisters, swelling and long term issues. This medication took the dye from my undergarments where it had seeped out. Dangerous product and I regret ever wasting my money on it!!! PLEASE DONT BUY IT!!!

After a couple hours of burning, as noted below, I wanted to follow up and say that it worked well and was effective at curing what I felt was a moderate to severe infection. Would use again if I wanted immediate relief in 24hrs.

Yup, thevreviewsvare right.... My crotch is on fire. It's been 2hrs and all I can feel is a fire between my legs, not inside but on the vulva, which is weird bc you would think it would hurt inside. This is not for the faint of heart!! I have a hot date in 4 nights and now I am afraid my who-ha is gonna be too hot to handle. It better freaking work fast for this burning pain!! It's like my vagina just gurgled listerine and can't spit it out!

Bought this drug after I felt a yeast infection coming on and it worked great! I was a bit apprehensive upon reading all the negative reviews but its now day three and I have no signs or symptoms of a yeast infection. I will admit I experienced slight tingling and increased warmth after inserting medication but nothing unbearable. Would definitely use again.

I'm 18 years old and this is my first YI. I wasn't sure I had one until I started to itch really bad. At first I thought it was bumps from shaving then I thought the itch was way too bad to just be shaving bumps. The next day I discovered an abnormal amount of discharge in my underwear( yellowish and thick) at that moment I knew what it was. I picked up the monistat 1 just because my mother recommended me the brand. So far so good. It's been about 3 hours and so far it's not that bad. I can already feel the itch is subsiding and the burn is almost gone too. hopefully by the time I wake up the whole infection will be gone. I guess some ladies are sensitive to this product even numbers 3&7 have horrible reviews but in a pinch it gets the job done.Read More Read Less

I have suffered from a yeast infection for years. I tried monistat 3 and 7 before and I didn't see results.I tried all the other over the counter meds with no results either. Well any who,I decided to try the monistat 1 last monday. And today I haven't seen nor felt and discomfort. And Yes the first few days my cootie was on fire. But after the third day I was fine. I think the burning will depend on the person's infection. I didn't have any itching at all before taking monistat 1.
