I've decided to write a review since there are a lot of neg ones. I'll be honest, when I first took this I didn't have the most pleasant experience and reading some reviews freaked me out. Here's my history -- I was diagnosed with yeast infection last year by my obgyn of which she prescribed a one day oral medicine. It took a few days for it to work, but I don't recall having any side effect...

I wish I had read the comments before purchasing this. What started out as a slight itch turned into a monster after using this product. I used this at about 10pm right before I went to bed. By a little after 12am I woke up to a whitish discharge so a pad is a must but that wasn't all. I was Itching and burning so bad I almost cried. I went to the bathroom and rinse off with water several times an...

So, this was my first time using this product and I stuck it up my vajayjay BEFORE I read the reviews. The reviews I read were awful! About 10-15 after putting it in, I felt a tingling sensation (not burning, or uncomfortable, just weird feeling). After about 30 minutes it went away and I had absolutely no other issues. This product worked perfectly for me!

First time with a Y.I- called my mother and she suggested Monistat. Got the 1 day treatment and put it in around 11am. I didn't get the burning so many talk about. A lot of discharge for a few days which is normal. So Tuesday I inserted the ovule and its Thursday evening and all signs of Y.I are gone except for really really light itching which I suspect will be gone tomorrow.

Honestly after reading the reviews I was scared but I already bought it and decided to give it a chance everyone is differnt. I honestly think it depends on how bad it is... I would say I had a very mild case and I I didn't treat it right away I let 4days pass.. My infection started Thursday night and my doc is closed fri thru sun,by the time I saw my doc on Monday afternoon the pain wasn't that bad anymore so she recommend the 3day.. She said sometimes they can get Better on thier own but it's better to treat them so they don't mess u up in the future This is my first infection since I was feeling better I didn't think I needed the long treatment so went ahead bought the 1day... I took it a hr and half before bed felt lil to no pain at all... The morning after still no pain there was lil discharge not that bad but Everytime I went to the bathroom I did feel the medicine a bit more a lil sting but not for long... It did the job if I have to use it again I would Read More Read Less

I've used monistat before and it worked fine. Eventually the pain went away. I would say to not use the off brand. I took the medication last night around 1 am and my vagina literally feels like its going to shrivel up and fall off. The itching and burning is unbearable. HELLPPP

Itching and burning worsened greatly. Within one hour significant nausea, vomiting, and headache began. Will never use again.

I used this product about 8pm and at about 11pm I thought the life of my vagina was coming to an end! There was tremendous itching and burning BUT after about 30 minutes it all went away! There was hope after all. The next morning I felt a minor itch. I would recommend this product but just be mindful that a few hours after insertion you will experience a heightened itch and burning sensation.

I've used this PLENTY of times, as i have recurrent Yeast Infections. :( I can pretty much Diagnose my own Vaginal infections from Yeast to BV. This works Wonders. I even take it in the day time and apply a sanitary pad on just to save any discharge from getting into my underware. It's like $22 bucks. I usually get a coupon on it though and that totals it to about $20. Never felt and pain or discomfort. The applicator tube could be "smoother" though. I used a little Vaseline to Lubricate it. I have felt immediate relief right away. No problems here. Read More Read Less

I got the generic brand (Miconazole 1) which has the same exact stuff at the Monistat 1... I was having cottage cheese looking discharge, some yellowish discharge, and SEVERE itching and swelling due to the itching, it was a complete nightmare. I bought this around 11am, it's 2pm and the itching went away for the most part due to the cream however it is burning still right now. It's not intense but it is burning... I'm praying this goes away by the morning. Didn't get any sleep due to discomfort so I'm really hoping it starts to feel better by tonight. Yeast infections are NO FUN!!!Read More Read Less

I am a physician. I took this product for the first time. I addition to the severe burning I got , which I tolerated (because I have a high tolerance to pain) I had a severe reaction , where I could not breath. Thankfully, I always carry a epipen (since I had a bad experience with a friend one) and I had to injected right away and took benadryl.. I am planning on reporting this to the FDA, just so people know about it. The ER physician was "it really unlikely to have a reaction like this after a vaginal product". But it can happen and people needs to be aware of this.Read More Read Less

So i recently purchased the Monistat 1 Day treatment. I recently had noticed some discomfort in my vagina area, and knowing exactly what it was i avoided going too the doctor and just purchased the product. (because that's exactly what the doctor was going too tell me too do.) I wanted my results fast so i decided too purchase this one. So getting off work i showed, shaved, and inserted the cream before bed. As i laid down i just decided too browse google for some reviews and all i read was NEGATIVE reviews out of many. Getting scared i just hoped it would work for me. And honestly it DID! I work up the next morning of course still leaking of the cream I noticed the odor and itching were gone.YES, and shortly after (about 2 more days) all my symptom were GONE! I would most def recommend this too a friend... Read More Read Less

This was my first time ever having an yeast infection. I got one while taking antibiotics for having really bad bronchitis, so therefore the medicine was a stronger dose of antibiotics. My mother told me about Monistat. So I went to the store and saw Monistat 1. Read the back of it was like this might actually work. Well went home that night did what it said to do then fell asleep. I woke up in the middle of the night so uncomfortable!! I knew it would cause some burning but I didn't think it would be that bad! Somehow I was able to go back to sleep! Thank God!! And woke up later that morning and felt amazing! Yes I still had mild burning, but overall I was so pleased with Monistat 1!! I would rather suffer some burning for one day then have to wait 3 days to get rid of it!! Read More Read Less

OMG! Wish I had read the reviews first. I had to take a large amount of antibiotics for a dental procedure. I tried to let it pass then I tried vagisil then I said lets just use this and get it over with. I was gonna do the 3 day but decided to get it over with. I worked all night and used the one day ovule at 5am. Lawd help me I should have done my research first. I was burning so bad i got up and tried to clean up what was being discharged. that didn't work so I went back to bed and was trying to think of ways to get this out of me. Even thought about what they would do at the er it was that bad. I finally dozed off and about 2 hrs later it was still burning but tolerable. Its now 8 hrs later and I barely feel anything. No burning or irritation. So far it seems to have worked but geesh that was harsh.. Not for those with a low pain threshold. Just miserable but I'm glad its over.Read More Read Less

I have had many YI since my teens (I'm now 39). After 4 welcome years of no yeast I started getting that familiar feeling so thought I would go ahead and treat to stay ahead of it. BIG MISTAKE. I usually use the 3 or 7 day treatments because I tend to have difficult to treat yeast but thought if i just stopped it before it got going then all would be good. I made it through the night with no pain but upon waking and having the medicine move around that's when the BURNING started. Like a hot mint after you drink ice water. way worse than the itch!! I lasted 2 days then ran out and bought 2 dousches. I have never used one in my life but decided getting it out of me was the best option. It was friday night and I have the weekend to get through. Sat morning I still have a little burn but feel much better. I will wait a few days and probably have to treat with a 7 after I call my dr on monday. will NEVER use this again.Read More Read Less

I've used this product once before, during my first yeast infection, and from what I can recall, I had minimal discomfort with the treatment. I began treatment for the second time almost 2 hours ago, and decided to read some reviews of the product right after beginning treatment. To say that I was terrified is putting it mildly. I prepared myself for incredible pain and intensity... but I have to say- nearly 2 hours later, I'm not experiencing anything even close to what's been described here. There is some warmth and increased itching, and there's an uncomfortable feeling as the discharge begins to increase, but if this is anything like my first experience, the quick results far outweigh the discomfort (for me.) I will definitely come back and change my review if anything changes.Read More Read Less

It was easy to use, if you can use a tampon, you can use this. The few downsides were that it caused excessive drainage the following morning and gave me really bad headaches and stomach aches, but it did work literally by the next day the pain and most, if not all, itching was gone! Super impressed!

I had the same symptoms the other women described--constant burning, terrible itching and angry looking red bumps all over the area where I applied the tube of cream. Horrible reaction. Not worth using ever again.

PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE unless you consult with doctor! I've taken this medication twice in my life and both times were horrible. Because of the high amount of medication they put into the 1 day treatment, I am assuming this is why it burned so bad. Jesus Christ. BOTH TIMES I had to LITERALLY SQUEEZE all the medicine out of me because I could not take it. I slept with cold towels on my vaginal area just so I could be relaxed (still didn't work). HOWEVER.... I do recommend that you should get the 3 or 7 day treatments so that you are not taking as much medication in one insert. YOU WILL REGRET IT!Read More Read Less

This was the second YI I'd ever had in my life and I had to sit through a 10 hour drive with it by myself. I tried Vagisil, but it only provided temporary relief for a few hours and then the itching and burning would come back. So I looked up Monistat and decided to try the 1-Day treatment which is for severe YIs. I've seen a few people review it saying they used Monistat 1 to treat MILD infections. I don't think that's what it's for. Anyway, the application of the egg was easy, like a tampon. Then I applied the anti-itch cream. The relief was almost instant. HOWEVER, the downside to having such a strong dosage of this medicine is that the burn is almost inevitable, mostly because if you scratched a lot, the skin is raw and exposed. I'm sure I wanted to die several times during the long 45 minutes to an hour I lay on my bed with an ice pack on my tender bits, rolling around in agony. After the burning, the itching intensifies for another hour and then I took some medicine to help me sleep. When I woke up, my swelling and redness were gone, as well as the burning and itching. The medicine's excess leaks out so I suggest a panty liner to prevent mess, and since it leaks, there might be mild burning and tingling long after the infection has passed. But it's been a full day and so far, no severe itching or burning is present...and the infection is almost completely gone.Read More Read Less

I decided to write this review as a warning to anyone thinking of using it!! I inserted the tablet and applied the cream and within 20 mins my entire vagina was on fire with pain!! Days later it still hurt to pee, I honestly couldn't do it without sitting in a bath! I also developed blisters that looked like herpes and had to go through the agony of thinking the worst! My results came back negative to all std test so I know it was the monistat. It took well over a week for the swelling and pain to subside, my vagina felt like it had been burned raw with acid! Do not take this medication!! I also developed fever, chills, swollen glans, cuts and a hemmoroid! Read More Read Less
