I've decided to write a review since there are a lot of neg ones. I'll be honest, when I first took this I didn't have the most pleasant experience and reading some reviews freaked me out. Here's my history -- I was diagnosed with yeast infection last year by my obgyn of which she prescribed a one day oral medicine. It took a few days for it to work, but I don't recall having any side effect...
I wish I had read the comments before purchasing this. What started out as a slight itch turned into a monster after using this product. I used this at about 10pm right before I went to bed. By a little after 12am I woke up to a whitish discharge so a pad is a must but that wasn't all. I was Itching and burning so bad I almost cried. I went to the bathroom and rinse off with water several times an...

Had severe swelling itching discomfort and burning before use, no itching or burning after use, a little discomfort kinda like a uti feeling to me. Never had a yeast infection before so for days i thought it was just a rash due to being on my period for a long amount of time but use every cream you can think of , tryed ice to get the swelling down and nothing helped. Its been 4 hours since I used this and feels a lot better.

worst product ever caused severe swelling and pain and seems most women are experiencing same problem. If you have a few days to suffer with ice packs and Tylenol in tears use this product other wise stay far away it should be banned

I had to go to the doctor ended up on prednisone and 3 days of the pill for yeast infection. I'm on day four and the burning is a lot better however I still feel the burning at times. Just hope I didn't do any lasting damage from this product. This should NOT be on the market! Please don't take this!!!!

I purchased Monistat 1 before reading the reviews. I looked up the reviews minutes before using it and I'm roughly 30 hours post treatment and I really want to offer my experience. I had itchy/irritation symptoms for 3-4 days before treatment. No odor or discharge. I've had one diagnosed YI prior to this one. Two minutes into treatment I experienced extreme itching. No burning, no pain just itching. It subsided 40 minutes later. About four hours into treatment my symptoms were gone. It's been roughly 30 hours and they have not returned. I did not experience any discharge except for the gel. Your vagina will do its self cleaning oven duty and exit the gel over the next few hours. Use a panty liner or toilet paper to protect your undies.Read More Read Less

Monistat1 worked for me Don't expect immediate results as soon as you use it. You will see results after 5-7 days. It burns slightly when you use but that is normal/that is how it works. My symptoms started disappearing from 3rd day after use. Make sure you drink lots of water for 5 to 7 days.

I haven't had a yeast infection in about 15 years. After taking antibiotics I felt the itching and burning and knew I had one. I bought the Monistat 1 and followed the instructions. After 24 hours I still felt the symptoms and got worried it wasn't working. Within 48 hours it was gone!! Thank goodness for Monistat!

I was really scared to use this product because of all the negative reviews. I was literally freaking out. But I didn't want to tell my mom I needed pills from the doctor again for it because I think that's more embarrassing than buying the one application. So I still tried it even though I was freaking out that that it would start burning and itching really bad but I had a great experience with it. I put it in right before bed and didn't feel any burning or itching only a slight tingling that was barely noticeable. I woke up in the morning with the gel all over my underwear since it leaks out through the night so I would recommend wearing a pad after you insert it. Less messy. But woke up and my vagina felt so relieved. It really did its job. Would definitely use this product again.Read More Read Less

At first it seemed to be working, but the day after I used it I was burning like crazy. My vagina was extremely irritated and swollen. I had to leave work and all I wanted to do is flush it out of me. I don't know why they would make such a product.

I actually had a really good experience with monistat 1. I put it in right before I payed down to go to sleep and the most I felt was intense tingling, which wasn't that uncomfortable. I did wake up once because of the tingling but I went right back to sleep. Overall I'd use this again. Most of the people giving reviews are people who had horrible reactions. Most of the people that had great reactions probably won't go online to leave a review. Everyone reacts differently, so just give it a try. Read More Read Less

I am in my twenties and just getting over my second yeast infection. For my first one, I used the Monistat 1 ovule with great success. Immediate relief of symptoms, and full treatment overnight. So, when I got my second yeast infection I used the same treatment. My infection wasn't all that bad. No itching or swelling, just burning when I urinate and the gross cheesy discharge. Immediately after inserting the ovule and using the cream, I felt the irritation and itching begin to intensify. Less than 30 minutes later I was sitting in the bathtub bawling and feeling like I could pull my hair out. I'm typically very tolerant to pain and have never had any type of reaction to ANY kind of medication. Next time, I will DEFINITELY be calling my doctor for the oral pill. The pain is not worth the money you might save. Rated 5 because it DOES work, but it hurts. Read More Read Less

It seemed to be working normal until 3 hours after insertion. I woke up in the middle of the night feeling like my vagina was on fire. The itching was also unbearable. I wouldn't wish this product on my worst enemy. It shouldn't even be on the market. Please do not take this.

For everyone upset with the burnings!!!!!! It is mostly causes by how bad the infection is inside- when the outside burns it's because of how dry and swollen your vagina is. You are extremely sensitive to a strong product that is cleansing the inside. I remember crying having taken it my first time through the 3 series. Noted everyday was less burning as I had less yeast and less swelling. You just gotta be able to go through the pain to get rid of it! Sorry ladies.

I just inserted the monistat 1 about 2-3 hours ago and at first I felt nothing. Then I felt a little tingling inside of my vagina but less itch on the outside. It still is a little tingly but less than before. I'm sure that it won't work the same with everyone but if it is burning INTENSELY then it may be something other than a YI but like I said every woman is different. Hopefully mine will go away but so far it seems as if it's working. Discomfort is definitely a part of the healing process. Read More Read Less
