I've decided to write a review since there are a lot of neg ones. I'll be honest, when I first took this I didn't have the most pleasant experience and reading some reviews freaked me out. Here's my history -- I was diagnosed with yeast infection last year by my obgyn of which she prescribed a one day oral medicine. It took a few days for it to work, but I don't recall having any side effect...
I wish I had read the comments before purchasing this. What started out as a slight itch turned into a monster after using this product. I used this at about 10pm right before I went to bed. By a little after 12am I woke up to a whitish discharge so a pad is a must but that wasn't all. I was Itching and burning so bad I almost cried. I went to the bathroom and rinse off with water several times an...

Using this product has been a horrible experience. It made my mild symptoms incredibly worse. I had so much pain and swelling. I will NEVER use this or any Monistat product again.

So I went to the doctor for a yeast infection and for some reason it came back so I decided to try over the counter medication because at the doctors its literally a 2-3 hour wait. I decided to try monistat since I've seen commercials and thought it would be a better quality. I put the little egg in my vagina and felt good, once I put the cream that comes with it to use on the vulva the itching and burning were so bad. I think I preferred the burning over the itching for sure. I've never felt so itchy from my vagina before as I did in that moment. I rushed to the shower to wash it off and the itch was less. So I decided to go to the doctors the next day cause the itching the monistat caused wouldn't completely go away. I got some medication prescribed and feel so much better now. Please don't waste your money or time using this product. Or at least don't use the cream because it was the worst feeling ever! I almost cried !! It's supposed to make your vulva feel better but it just made it worst.Read More Read Less

This worked well. I was terrified after these reviews that i was in for a terrible night but i had no issue. I used right before sleeping and it does leak out and was slightly unconfortable but nothing like these reviews here. I used the one day and my issues were gone the next day or two. I would use again.

As stated in the other reviews this does burn and itch. My vagina the morning after has a menthol feel. I feel about 60% better. The night was rough. I did not try to remove medicine because I wanted to feel better. Prefer the burning to the intense painful internal itch I had.

I can't believe I am sitting here with excruciating pain writing a damn review. My vagina is currently on fire. Hasn't even been an hour yet and I don't know what to do. I've never had a YI before and I'm currently using the 7 day medication. Believe me girls, NOT MUCH DIFFERENCE because I want to scream and cry and this feels 100 times worse than my mild YI did. I'm going to try my very best to stick through it because I am not a quitter and I want to get rid of this infection. But I recommend being careful about the time you decide to use it. It says to use it right before bed and I don't think that's ideal. I won't be getting much sleep tonight. I will come back to update my review when my infection goes away. Read More Read Less

Worked within the first few hours! It did leak out a lot, which I suppose is normal as it melts but burning and itching subsided much quicker than I anticipated. I typically have very sensitive skin but no adverse reactions to this product. Hopefully I don't have to, but would certainly buy again if needed.

Before I bought this product, I read many reviews stating that it caused extreme burning and itching. From what I was reading it seemed that these reviews were related to the ovule so I bought the pre-filled applicator instead. I used the applicator last night and had no burning or itching AT ALL. None. While this product worked very well for me, that doesn't mean it will work well for everyone. All our bodies are different. But for me this is a great product. No side effects, easy to use, and done in one day. I will purchase again. To everyone experiencing side effects... I feel for you. I guess I am a lucky one.Read More Read Less

So yes, it did clear up my problem. The amount of pain I experienced using this product was not worth it tho. I was burning hours after i used it well into the next day. I ended up just keeping an ice pack in my pants, because the sensation was so unbearable. I recommend you using the knock off brand 7 day. My friend used that after I told her my problems with this one and she was fine.

This OTC medication is the WORST! Not only did it significantly increase my itching, it also set my vulva and labia ON FIRE! It is a terrible product. My yeast infection cleared very quickly with diflucan prescribed by my doctor. Unfortunately, some of the monistic that I used initially discharged and set my vagina and vulva on fire almost immediately. The discomfort was so intense that I could not sit still. I had to use ice, wash the rest away and again, felt better. Monistat 1 should really be removed from the shelves. Read More Read Less

This product worked great for me. The down fall about it is I had an allergic reaction to the vaginal cream. So, it gave me pimple-like bumps, swelling and irritation in my vaginal area.

I used the one day treatment for the first time just last night and after an hour or so, I was woken out of my sleep to the worst itching and burning I have ever experienced. The itching cream included did nothing for me. After three hours of crying and standing in the shower to barely relieve it, I took two Tylenol extra strength because I knew this helped relieve my hells itch from my bad sunburn on my back. Luckily this worked well and it took the itch completely away and I could finally fall back to sleep. I'm the morning it began to itch a bit more so I took two more Tylenol and I am now fine. It works well but very very painful. Read More Read Less

This product cured my yeast infection within 7 days with minimal pain. I would recommend treating yeast infections as soon as they can be positively identified. My experience began with steadily spreading irritation and inflammation around my vagina, which I tried to ignore for seven days. On the sixth day I had a chunky off-white discharge that did not smell bad, ruling out a bacterial infection. On the seventh day I bought Vagisil anti-itch medicated wipes and the Monistat 1 treatment which consisted of an inter-vaginal egg shaped gel tablet, an applicator, and a cream. I had read several reviews about how painful the product was, but the itching was reaching intolerable levels and I wanted rapid treatment as well as relief. After first using a medicated wipe, I inserted the tablet and applied the cream (liberally) at ~7pm on the seventh day of infection, which I will now refer to as the first day of treatment. I did not notice any immediate effects. About three hours after the initial application I experienced a slight burning and warmth (the pain was very minimal) in my groin and lower abdomen. The next morning everything felt completely fine until I reapplied the cream. Two minutes after the application I experienced extreme itching and discomfort. I used a medicated wipe and the itching subsided to tolerable levels. At 7pm that night I showered and used the wipe and the cream again. I experienced the same moderate burning and warmth (which I assume was a result of swelling) but the sensations were quite tolerable. I continued to apply the wipe and then the cream every morning around 6am and every night around 7pm. The burning decreased in intensity with each application. The off-white discharge and itching were completely gone by the end of the fourth day. I was completely cured of all symptoms after seven days.Read More Read Less

I just inserted the Monistat 1 treatment about an hour ago. I have never been diagnosed with a yeast infection however after googling my symptoms, I thought I'd give it a shot. I was totally fine and didn't even know it was in there until I peed. Now it's becoming uncontrollable and I cannot stop itching. It feels really hot as well. After doing some resesrch, I found that if m1 is burning it's because there is infection and it is fighting it. I'm trying to sit still and just ignore it, but it's unbearable. Any suggestions?? Should I maybe douche??Read More Read Less

I will be blunt and straightforward: this product will BURN, and make your va-jay jay SWELL. No getting around it. Why? Because it's a 1 day treatment and the dosage of medication to kill the bacteria is concentrated in one foul swoop! Does it work? Absolutely. I hadn't had a YI since I was a teenager, and remembered taking the 7 day with great success. Well, this time around I wanted the virus to get gone a little sooner. The night in which I inserted the egg was terrible- but nothing compared to the next day! I thought my lady friend down there was going to die. And the swelling freaked me out so bad that I almost went to the urgent care. But then I calmed down, read up on things, and realized the logic behind the product and it's side effects. There's nothing mild about them (as the package states), but it works. I'm on day 3 (post-insert) and my symptoms are gone. Also keep in mind that every woman is different, and we wont all have the same experience. If you've never taken the product, my advice is to go with the 3 day if you can't take a lot of pain and discomfort- otherwise, if you're able to hang in there, it's well worth it.Read More Read Less
