I've decided to write a review since there are a lot of neg ones. I'll be honest, when I first took this I didn't have the most pleasant experience and reading some reviews freaked me out. Here's my history -- I was diagnosed with yeast infection last year by my obgyn of which she prescribed a one day oral medicine. It took a few days for it to work, but I don't recall having any side effect...
I wish I had read the comments before purchasing this. What started out as a slight itch turned into a monster after using this product. I used this at about 10pm right before I went to bed. By a little after 12am I woke up to a whitish discharge so a pad is a must but that wasn't all. I was Itching and burning so bad I almost cried. I went to the bathroom and rinse off with water several times an...

Iâ??m a 20 year old female who has never had a yeast infection ever before. I decided to buy Monistat 1 since I heard commercials for it but I had not read all of these reviews until right after I had already used the product. These reviews really scared me about the pain I was about to endure. I had a small pain in my lower abdomen but it was just a tight feeling. Other than that, I had no extreme burning or itching sensation like the other reviews are claiming. I woke up to realize it had fully cleaned me out and I was all better the next day! I am nothing but completely satisfied and I donâ??t want other girls to be scared away from the other comments like I almost was. Very happy over here!Read More Read Less

I noticed yeast infection symptoms about a week ago and plan to just let it naturally heal. I got so tired of it that i went to the store and bought the simple monistat 1 treatment. I showered then did the treatment. Instructions were easy to follow but a tad messy. Within 10 minutes my vagina started to itch 10x worst than before and was hotttttt. It took two hours for this to stop. Now i feel great!

I would absolutely never recommend this to anyone to use. I've used the Monistat 3 with no problems, but the Monistat 1 was SO horribly painful and made me swell to a point that I was afraid I'd have to go to the ER. It was awful and made me forget I had a yeast infection because the side effects were so terrible. It's hard to say whether it helped my yeast infection go away because I had so much pain and itching from the medicine alone that I couldn't tell whether it was a side effect or my yeast infection. Either way, I'm STILL in pain from the medicine three days after taking it. Seriously, it's NOT worth getting. Read More Read Less

After reading some of the horror stories on here I was terrified to try this but I was on vacation and couldn’t go to a doctor so I had little choice. It was really easy to use, I felt no burning or discomfort as other had described, I definitely feel somewhat better but it hasn’t completely resolved the problem and I feel i’ll still have to go to my doctor to completely get rid of the infection. I’m so sorry to the ladies who had bad reactions

I had similar reaction of burning and itching to those shared by others. SEVERE BURNING, much worse that the YI. I’m leaving this comment to share what worked for me to relieve the pain. I stood in the shower for about 15 minutes with shower head rinsing my vulva and using my fingers to remove ALL of the product (tedious, but I knew I HAD to get it out). I was still feeling irritated internally, and remembered advice from by OBGYN when I was suffering from vagina dryness after my kid was born. I grabbed a jar of organic unrefined coconut oil. Scooped out a clump (about almond sized) and inserted it into my vagina as far as a could and within 10 minutes ALL of the pain and burning had subsided— ALL OF IT. It probably helped that the coconut oil was cool and very solid and I had only had the product inside of me for about 90 minutes. If you are reading this, rinse the product off IMMEDIATELY until your fingers and water are completely clear of the cream, and apply coconut oil.Read More Read Less

i just took this drug yesterday, so I cannot give a thorough review on the effectiveness of satisfaction, but waking up today was a lot more pleasant than waking up yesterday! I just wanted to add that the â??dischargeâ? from the medication people are talking about on here is nasty. Very cottage cheese like. It is present just inside of your vulva. Idk if it is okay to use the cooling wipes to rid of this, so be sure to get these questions altered before taking the drug!

Horrible! I still can't believe they have this product on the shelves! I had a minor yeast infection and within 2 hours of using this product my vulva was swollen shut! The pain was debilitating and needless to say the infection did not resolve! Ladies! If you are one of many who suffered from this barbaric product I'm here to let you know that I found a product called Yeastaway at the Vitamin shoppe and it's a miracle cure, no pain, gentle and it works! A little messy, but nearly not as bad as Monistat. I've suffered for years with yeast infection and Yeastaway really worked for me.Read More Read Less

The usual 3 or 7 day treatmemts are fine and work. This literally feels as if you have burned your vagina with a hot poker. Furtermore, it does nothing to cure the problem. I hope people read these reviews before using. I am still in pain after 3 days and am having a lot of trouble soothing the feeling.

I have never had a yeast infection prior to this time. I was experiencing some itching, burning and abnormal looking discharge so i looked up what those symptoms could mean and a yeast infection sounded spot on. It was the weekend so I didnâ??t want to wait to call the doctor so I decided to pick up some monistat 1. I inserted the ovule before bed and initially everything was A-Ok. About 30 min later the intense burning and itching began which did concern me but after looking into it I realized this is a normal side effect and that it will subside. So I got into a comfortable position and went to sleep. The next morning the extreme burning and itching had subsided and I felt a lot better! 2 days later it seems to be almost completely better! Overall I am very satisifed. Yes, the burning and itching was a draw back, but it wasnâ??t bad enough that I couldnâ??t fall asleep and I did feel better the next day so I would give this about a 8.5/10. If youâ??re in need of a quick fix for a yeast infection I would recommend! Read More Read Less

I had not had a yeast infection for many, many years. Nevertheless I knew what it was almost instantly. Of course, I was travelling when this happened. So off to the nearest drug store I go. So it had been so long since my last yeast infection that there was only the 7 day cream the last time. I was excited to see a one day treatment. I took it back to the hotel and used it just before bed. I remembered that there would be a mess of thick ointment, so I had some light panty liners to save my clothes as I needed to fly home. Once home I let everything breath as much as possible. It did work, all symptoms were gone within 24 hours. However, three days later there is still ointment "spotting" and I can find no information if this is to be expected. There is no odor or inflammation so I am figuring this is just part of the process. Would be nice if the packaging warned us of this. Hint Hint marketing department. Read More Read Less

I knew I was going to get a yeast infection after taking metro felt for 5 days due to bv, I was just so tired of putting stuff up there I wanted to get it over with so I decided to get monstat 1. I was very skeptical about it because I used to before and I was burning for an hour until I slept it off but I got it anyways. I tried it again but put organic coconut oil all on the exterior part of my vagina. I was just waiting for the burning to come but it never came. It's the next day now and it's a little warm but very easy to deal with. I'm glad I did my research.Read More Read Less

Just inserted the monistat 1. It does burn a little. It's uncomfortable. But I'm starting to feel a difference. I rather the monistat burning than the yi burning. I used monistat 7 before it does burn but I got rid of the YI in no time. You have to go through the pain to get relief. It works.

I had severe itching from my yeast infection which kept me up at night. The next day I decided to buy monistat 1 to quickly help my vagina get back to normal. The ovule is very easy to insert and although the reviews say extreme itching and burning, I did not experience these bad side effects. Only uncomfortable part is the product leakage from the vagina. So, if you decide to use this product make sure to wear a pad for the day with it.

Buyer beware. When you make a deal with the devil, there is a price to be paid, and I can assure you that Satan himself manufactured this product sometime shortly after he went down in Georgia, because this hellish remedy is not just normal devil level stuff, he must have been grumpy at least. At approximately 10pm, I inserted this product and ran to the bed to get horizontal. I fell asleep with visions of a yeast free hoo ha dancing in my head. Around 1am, a little bit of the capsule had melted and touched some sensitive areas and it was like a disco inferno in my lady business. This girl was on fire! I went to the bathroom to see if I could use the “cooling wipes” to ease my suffering. Nope. At this point, I thought Daenerys Stormborn was about to emerge naked, from the pyre that was now my vagina, cradling three newly hatched dragon babies. I was in tears. I hopped into the shower and used the removable shower head to try to hose everything out. This was also futile as the seepage from this product can only be compared with the ooze of the La Brea Tar Pits in that it is thick, waterproof, and sticky enough that any living creature great or small coming into contact with it would become trapped and suffer certain death. I put an ice-pack between my legs and took an advil. That brought things down to a level more like Billy Joel could film a music video in there summarizing historical events and listing icons. I did eventually sleep. The next day, my “rhymes with Dolores” was raw and bleeding and still, little bits of this product would leak out every now and again and that felt like fresh slices of ghost pepper were occasionally passing through my tunnel of love. I have to say though, that it did in fact cure my yeast infection. Overall, I’m satisfied with this product. Read More Read Less

After using monistat 1 day, the itching got worse. I'm raw and swollen and I can feel a pulse of some sort. This happened once before and I didn't know it was the monistat. Whenever I have gotten. A years infection, the pill works perfectly. Now I know for sure. Do not waste your money on this. I want my $22 back!!! Very upset and in a lot of pain :(

Oh. My. Gosh. It burns so much, and for no reason. I wish so much that I would have read reviews first. The burn hurt more than the symptoms and the product didn't even help me.
