I have been on oxyfast for many years for cancer pain. It is prescribed for a 30 day period but only lasts as prescribed for aprox. three and a half weeks. I also use norco with it when the pain worsens. I have been prescribed Norco for 20 years and it is marginally effective. When the oxyfast prescription runs out in three weeks it is unbelievable the pain effect that increases and as a patient y...

I have been on oxyfast for many years for cancer pain. It is prescribed for a 30 day period but only lasts as prescribed for aprox. three and a half weeks. I also use norco with it when the pain worsens. I have been prescribed Norco for 20 years and it is marginally effective. When the oxyfast prescription runs out in three weeks it is unbelievable the pain effect that increases and as a patient you just suffer for the last week or so. I have astma, bronchitus, heart problems including high blood preasure which I take two meds for. I have prostate cancer, reflux, water retention for which I take lasix. Also prilosec, albuterol, ambien for many years. Also flomax, demerol, prendnisone, bactrim when the infection in my lungs occur.Diovan,dilaudid.and also brethine. When th pain gets really bad I have to use morphine tablets.Cardura also for my blood pressure.I have been diagnosed with asbestos from working in an aircraft factory when I was young but was told biopsy was not the best way to confirm this.I can barely walk from neuropthy with severe pain. This may sound funny but I found out that if you rub OXYFAST on the feet when the pain gets really bad that it reduces it a great deal rather than orally taking it. Prescriptions run as high as $50,000.00 per year alone. My doctors are amazed that after 20 years I am not addicted to anything. I am 71 years old and I believe well preserved. Oxyfast? Very beneficial if prescribed to cover five weeks and not four. Some days I get very very tired of the routine and..well you can imagine. Best Wishes DeanRead More Read Less
