My atrophy was so bad that I couldn't sit comfortably. Premarin cream did nothing. Osphena is a miracle for me. But Medicare won't cover it! It's made for Senior women so it's foolish that Medicare doesn't cover it. Medicare covers Viagra! Are Senior men supposed to have sex with 30 year old women?

I chose a new GYN Dr. due to the fact that I felt I was not getting the help I was asking for based on extremely painful intercourse. My new Dr. put me on Osphena, and after being on it for 10 days, I realized that I was having extreme anxiety, but I did not relate it to this medication. I suffer from severe depression, and I just thought it had been a really tough year in ALL aspects of my life. ...

This drug was a lifesaver for me! No more painful intercourse or vaginal dryness. I felt better within 2 weeks. I tried all the vaginal products and found them ineffective and very messy. Osphena is convenient and discreet. My insurance covers this drug and my new co-pay is Zero! I would highly recommend any women trying this drug.

Not only has osphena helped with painful intercourse, but i have found my sex drive to be increased. I actually want to have sex now! For about 3 years I have basically felt obliged to do so, now I am interested! I do have some side effects - mostly some abdominal pains similar to menstrual cramps - not terrible but odd for a woman at least 10 years past menopause. It took about 6 weeks on the drug to actually have vaginal intercourse that wasn't painful but keep with it. Its worth it.

I have taken this med for about a year and a half now. It helps with painful intercourse. It took about 2 months before it totally worked, but I am lubricated and the elasticity of the tissue has returned. I recommend this to everyone who I hear has difficulty with painful sex.

I am 59 and have been using Osphena for over 2 years. It has worked wonders - no more dryness or pain. I've not noticed any side effects. It is a bit pricey however - that is the one draw back.

Started taking this drug for painful intercourse and vaginal dryness. It was extremely effective within days with a increased libido and vivid dreams. After 4 weeks, I started having mood swings, irritability, and sleep disturbances and depression. At 7 weeks, I had a noticeable swelling in my midsection and breast and a 5 pound weight gain almost over night. I checked all the side effects listed and none said weight gain. After reading reviews, I find Iâ??m not the only one. At 5â??, any weight gain is noticeable, especially when I live at the beach and always in a swimsuit. Iâ??m disappointed that I had to stop taking the drug, but at 53, Iâ??d rather be comfortable with my body and feel good about myself. My husband agrees. Too bad though, I had high hopes. I hope they fix the side effects or come out with something else.Read More Read Less

Pain was gone within a week. Hot flashes took about 2-3 weeks to dissipate. I now get them rarely and usually only after drinking alcohol. No weight gain. I actually dropped 18 lbs as a result of going off the birth control pill. Osphena has been a great solution for me.

Great RX! I have been on the medication for 6 or 7 months now. I am one of the lucky gals reviewing the drug! I and my spouse love the positive results.. Sexual desire, no pain and plenty of lubrication.

About the 4th day of using I felt relief of dryness... but now a month into taking it I am very upset that I have put on weight like every 2 weeks... there are like 5 pounds that is unhealthy for me since I have very high cholesteral.. and go to the gym and try to keep the weight off...sad to say this is not worth all the weight gain.. even though it might help some else... always worth a try!

I have been taking this medicine for about 3 years now and have had little to no pain during intercourse and no side effects. I have referred it to friends who were having painful sex due to menopause and they have also had success with this drug.

Took this for 5 mos. and it made intercourse somewhat less uncomfortable, but still uncomfortable. I have gained 12 lbs., developed rashes on both arms above and below my armpit area in the 4th month, was highly emotional for the first couple of months (this has decreased), and hot flashes have returned. Just called my doctor and am stopping this medication - the side effects are just not worth the little benefit it gives. I wish I hadn't given it as much time (and opportunity for the pounds to pack on) but I wanted to give it a fair shot. My advice- if you experience these symptoms, know that they won't go away, they just get worse. Totally not worth it.Read More Read Less

I'm 60 years old..and sex had become very painful, so I went on this drug. It did help with the pain..but the side affects are awful. Weight gain..and severe hot flashes..not to mention cramping of my hands and feet. Also I'm not sleeping. I was on a regular work out sched. and I noticed a great increase muscle fatigue. I have decided not to continue taking this pill. I took it for 4 months, and side effects continued with no let up.

Osphena has really helped with the painful intercourse and also just all day pain and vaginal irritation. Until I knew what was happening I thought I had several yeast infections and bought OTC medicine which never worked. This drug helped with all of that but I have gained over 10 pounds since starting it 3 months back. I don't want to have to decide what is more important to me, sex or weight. If it were just a bit of weight I would be okay but I am only 5 feet so 10 pounds is a lot and is very uncomfortable. I will be going back to my doctor to see if there is anything else like this because besides the weight I love it and it has worked for me.Read More Read Less
