I had the one injection (not the 3) however this was the worst experience of my life. I have had cortisone injections which work, this gel injection left me in severe pain, my thigh was swollen, and my hip in great pain for 4 days, I use ice most nights, took 2 tramadol and 800 ibuprofen for pain, did not help much. I was told it takes 7 days for this gel to work. Today is has been 13 days, and th...

My experience is conflicting. Few minutes after I got the injection I went into a severe anaphylactic shock and ended in the ICU. After 12 hours I recovered and I am doing well but was a very horrible experience. As for my knee I am satisfied with the product no pain at all and doing perfect. Obviously my body reacted in an abnormal way to this product. After this experience I have to say that the product is not completely safe for everybody. More investigation need to be done before the first death show up. Read More Read Less

Previous shots like steroids and another shot were not painful at all, but this shot takes a larger needle since it is a gel. Read More Read Less

The injection was painless but had 2 days of painful knee joint afterwards. Since then minimal pain on some days and some days pain free. I was in constant pain prior to the injection and even thinking of getting a walker so this is a blessing to be able to walk stairs, exercise normally. I would not hesitate to take another injection when this one no longer works. It's only been 1 month now since the injection so I'm hoping it'll last for many more.

I had Gel One injected about 6 weeks ago and it has already helped. My knee pain has greatly diminished. I was ready to go in for knee replacement and then I got the Gel One. Hope it will last a while!

I had a Gel-One injection a week ago, and so far 'no change'. Matter of fact, I am now having more pain than I had before. It took a long time for my insurance to approve this medication, only to find that it doesn't work. Question: Is the physician suppose to inject into the bone, or the surrounding tissue? I read one review where it was injected into the bone. The knew joint is where I am having my pain, but the physician injected the Gel-One to the 'side and slightly lower' than the knee joint. Any thoughts? Thanks.Read More Read Less

I have osteoarthritis in one knee, x-ray showing bone-on-bone. I received one injection of Gel-One in October of 2014 and it started helping about two months later. Pain walking down stairs was eliminated. The injection has really helped and now seven months later I am going bsck to the doctor and expect to get another injection. btw - the injection was completely painless. Doctor sprayed area with a chilling spray while injecting and I felt nothing. Good experience and I recommend it for someone with the same condition as I have, bone-on-bone in x-ray.Read More Read Less

This was my first HA injection ever. My knee hurt really bad, but after I got the injection my knee felt so much better! I can keep up with my grand kids now, well almost! Definitely recommend!

I've been getting knee injections for the last 5 years. I was getting the 3 series injections by Synvisc at first but didn't like having to get stuck 3 times with a needle week after week. Then I was offered Synvisc-One so I only needed to get a single shot. After what seemed to be increasing pain every year and less relief from my injection, my Doctor gave me Gel-One. I couldn't remember the last time my knee has felt so good. My typical walking pain was almost all but eliminated! I have since had two additional injections every 6 months. Maybe my knee is just unique, but I could definitely tell the difference and I choose Gel-One! Read More Read Less

I have had a Synvisc shot in my knee once a year since the year 2000. It worked great. The doctor's office that has given me the shots all this time have changed and no longer administer Synvisc and now use Gel One. I had a shot 3 weeks ago and it does not work. My insurance will only approve one shot every six months so I have to wait now in a lot of pain and sometimes when I try to put weight on my knee the pain is to much. DO NOT try Gel One unless you are rich and can pay for something different because this stuff does not work.Read More Read Less
