The cost of this medicine is prohibitive!! Stop the expensive tv ads and reduce the price for us patients.

After my 6th afib bout in 5 years and 4 electro cardioversions my cardiologist suggested cryoablation. My brother had this done over a year ago. I am one of the worst patients he has... I never take my rythmol or Toprol... I can take a years worth of drugs, or get zapped once every 12 months. Anyway this time they put me on eliquis in prep for ablation. My doctor is very popular and its a 7 we...

Replaced Pradaxa with Eliquis. Replaced Warfarin with Pradaxa. Warfarin caused rectal bleeding and numerous surface skin bruises. Pradaxa did not alleviate rectal bleeding. With Eliquis I have not had rectal bleeding since starting it 3 months ago.

I wanted to try this drug because I hate Coumadin from prior experience. Although it is expensive, the cardiologist believes it is already beginning to work in less than a month and she doesn't think I will need a cardioversion. I don't have the side effects I did with Coumadin, I really don't have any side effects at all to report. The only down side is she wants me on it for the rest of my life, ouch in the wallet. I can only hope the FDA begins to market a generic so I can save some money, but still get good results. I would recommend it for anyone with A-Fib.Read More Read Less

I have been on it for 6 weeks and will continue for at least 6 months--kind of pricey and twice a day can be a challenge. Wish I didn't have afib.

My only compalint with this med is that it requires twice daily doing. Otherwise, no side effects and a huge improvement over gastric and hemmorroid distress I was getting with Pradaxa.
