Biofreeze is a lifesaver for me. It provides me with immediate pain relief. Cold going on - however, heats up quick and takes care of it - allowing me to literally function.

Having tried every menthol-based active ingredient remedy I could fine, I have two observations: roll-on products are better at targeting the area that hurts; the menthol percentage here can be increased for better effect. For example, "Icy Heat" has 16% menthol. I find, for me, that the higher percentage products work faster and longer.
