On month 4 and it has changed my life from 3 heavy pads/day to none. It takes time to reach peak efficacy.I take it alone (not combined with BP meds). Savings Card avail.online for $50 discount. I pay $20 per month. I have my dignity back.

Extreme anxiety, pounding pulse, retaining urine, very narrow stream, nausea. Brief improvement after a month. Deteriorated fast, back to frequent need to pee, wake seized with anxiety, fatigue & anxiety made me stop this scary med. will risk oxybutinin to try. Debilitating fatigue & nervousness, mood alteration. Be careful with this. Clear CT scans & ultrasounds. Try cystoscope soon. Mild appendicitis & pulled ligament in right groin might be impacting.

I am on a 3month hiatus from Cytoxan. I am male, 86yo. I had been drinking a lot due to chemo, waking about 5-6 times nightly. As I did not wish to disturb my sleep, I saw urologist & then his PA gave me samples of 50mg. Didn't feel right from start. Urination increased to 10 times night, frequent incontinence, none before. On 3rd day muscles were so weak I felt paralyzed. Could not support weight. Only cognitive problem is unable to spell sometimes. Had to close my part-time medical practice. Reported to FDA. Saw atty., who finally said I hadn't been taking long enough to reach therapeutic range. Incontinence remains. Neuromuscular problem persist, using a cane & rolling walker. Diastolic BP remains high. Am in PT 2x's/wk. It's been 5 months and this is new normal. Drug has ruined my livelihood and taken my energy, and my speech is slowed. DO NOT TAKE, in my opinion.Read More Read Less

Iâ??ve been taking this drug for nine months now, and I cannot see much difference. No side effects from the drug. It is a very expensive drug. Iâ??m going to start taking myself off it this week. Iâ??m 75 and guess I will just have to live with it.

I took this medicine for 5 days. It gave me vertigo and blurred vision. It did help with the urgency, but the side effects are not worth it. I went off 3 days ago and still have the vertigo. I'm not sure how long it will take to work it's way out of my system, I'm hoping soon. I'm sure as with any medication some people will not experience any of these side effects and be fine. Unfortunately, I wasn't one of them.

I am down to getting out of bed once per night as opposed to 4 or 5 times. I am finding my memory is not as good as it was and don't know if it is related to taking myrbetriq. Does anyone else find they are having memory problems or confusion? I am a very young active 68 year old.

I was 68 and had suffered from overactive bladder since my 20s. My bladder ruled my life, clothing changes were required almost daily. I had tried ditropan two times over the years with no benefit, only dry mouth. My new urologist gave me Myrbetriq and my life changed. Within a week I was totaly continent during the day, only get up once at night. This has been a total life changer for me. I no longer have to make sure I'm close to a bathroom at all times.

I went on a kidney stone spree from April 2018 through August 2018 producing 7 stones during that period – roughly one stone every 2 weeks. It ruined the summer. I made dietary changes (oxalate exclusion, increased water intake daily) that so far have eliminated the problem. Stay away from spinach! During my last stone event in August of 2018, the urologist put me on Myrbetriq 50mg daily to reduce the annoying 30-40 trips bathroom trips a day. I had a final CT scan for that visit and I was deemed stone free. I continued on the drug until 12/21/18 and I never missed a single dose. Simply stated, Myrbetriq I don’t think Myrbetriq had any medical effect on the urinary frequency. In my case, it appears the cause of the frequency was a tiny stone particle or some scar tissue not visible on CT that had lodged in my urethra that passed one week after I started talking the Myrbetriq. Once that small stone or scar tissue had passed, my frequency immediately went back to near normal, like 8-10 times a day. I could not have been the Myrbetriq because that takes 6-8 weeks to begin to work, not one week. The urologist suggested I continue on with the Myrbetriq to be sure because as the package insert states, it can take 8+ weeks for the drug to start to work. I took Myrbetriq for just under 5 months and noticed along the way that I had endless nose and chest congestion with an annoying cough and my blood pressure was slowly rising. I use an Omron blood pressure monitor and app and have tracked my BP for years and it’s usually about 115/70 with a pulse of 65. Within 2 weeks of starting Myrbetriq, my BP rose to between 135/90 with a pulse of about 75 to 145/95 with a pulse of 80. After I quit the Myrbetriq my BP returned to 115/70 with a BP of 65. I also had endless post nasal drip and cough that I thought was a cold that began in early September of 2018. Those symptoms persisted until after I stopped the Myrbetriq after my last uro visit on 12/21/18.Read More Read Less

After 9 months, I am once again getting up 3-4 times per night, have had abdominal pain, strong urine smell and horrible sweating. Being tested the 3rd time for uti, experiencing leg and severe back pain, so think I need to revert to Ditropan XL. Hoping the sweating problem goes away.

I have been taking it for 3 weeks. A slight improvement in time between urination, but not much. Increased pelvic pain, making other muscles contract. Leaks are worse. Some sinus swelling, eyes burn, dry mouth, rosacea. Maybe it would work better in conjunction with another med. Giving it one more week, otherwise itâ??s pointless to take.

Developed overactive bladder (OAB) after 5 kidney stones in 3 months. MD checked me for UTI - tests were negative. I had KUB X-rays and CT scans done - bladder was normal, no cysts, polyps or growths. OAB was debilitating - voiding 30-40 times a day. It was debilitating and a real quality of life issue. I started on 25mg. Myrbetriq once daily. It didn't do much so I was given 50mg. daily. That dose sort of worked, reduced my OAB by about 25%. But I developed severe fatigue from the higher dose. The fatigue was as debilitating as the OAB. I went back down to 25 mg. per day of Myrbetriq and again, that "sort of worked". Then I developed acid reflux and constipation along with increased blood pressure (from 115/70 to 130/90). I discontinued the Myrbetriq and the acid reflux, fatigue, blood pressure increase and constipation went away. Remarkably, my OAB improved as well when I was off the Mybetriq. I quit taking the Myrbetriq after one month and feel a lot better. In my case, the adverse events were not worth the trouble and with the OAB better off the drug, why continue to take this agent? Be careful with this drug and monitor your symptom and BP carefully!Read More Read Less

Started taken almost 2 months. Heled some with frequency to go BUT smelly urine, vertigo and the worst is severe back pain.I am stop taking it today. Not sure the slight benefits outweigh the constant pain and body discomfort.

I take the 50mg dose daily and I still get up 5-6 times a night and usually go every hour during the day. I had high hopes for this medication after trying just about every other one on the market.

The medication did not stop my urinary frequency. Oxybutynin CL 10 mg was added to my Myrbetriq. My symptoms were helped for short time then they returned. 5mg of the Oxybutynin CL was then added with minimal relief.

I started taking Myrbetriq 50mg about a year and a half ago for my IC and it worked for the most part, but then I started noticing the side effects (dizzy spells, fatigued, joint pain, and shortness of breath). I noticed I had complications breathing while excersizing and definitely short of breath. After noticing side effects, my doctor prescribed the 25mg dosage. Although, the medicine still helped with the urgency to not go as much, I still felt the side effects. After my last checkup with my urologist, he told me to get off the medication to see if the medicine was causing all my side effects. I've been off the medicine for one week and I noticed a huge difference - no dizzy spells and I'm starting to get my energy back. I won't be taking Myrbetriq again, but for now I'm taking AZO Bladder Control for the urgency and pain. Read More Read Less

my overactive bladder was completely out of control and i'd given up on almost every other "solution" offered by urgent care and my MD. Flomax was a joke and I had/have no interest in 5-alpha reductase inhibitors or alpha blockers, which don't work anyway, due to horrible side affects. Mybetriq was a life saver. The minor side affects are well worth it and I rarely notice them anymore.

Was only marginally effective for bladder control. Side effects extreme for me. Diarrhea. Abdominal pain. Blood pressure up. Fatigue. I won't take this stuff again.
