Fifteen months ago I was given the decision to begin taking this insidious concoction or MAYBE qualifying for an L-VAD. IF I chose the Primacor, I was given 6-8 WEEKS, tops{I AM in endstage cardiac failure}, where IF I was chosen to receive a L-VAD, I could reasonably expect 3-5 years, BUT I would still HAVE to go on{spit, spit}Primacor{spit, spit} to prepare me for the upcoming surgery. It will be easy, they told me. An absolute piece of cake, they told me.My energy levels would skyrocket they told me. Shouldn't have ANY side effects, they told me. FIFTEEN MONTHS AGO! The sixth headache I had ever experienced began almost exactly a week upon treatment. Debilitating? Only on days that end in Y. Massive, never ending headache, the promised energy boost has yet to manifest itself, as has any chance for a L-VAD due to my familial problem of insulin resistance. . Now, the few remaining heart molecules MUST receive the constant stimulation of this drug to keep operating. Why not TELL the patient what to expect rather than dangle the carrot in front of end time patients who WILL grasp at straws. I would suggest that you stay far away from this drug. I wish that I had. Let me go with dignity rather than jump through hoops that only lead to more hoops. NOT a satisfied customer. OH, forget about ANY rehab accepting you as a patient IF you have surgery.
