After using lido/diltiazem with no effect...I am having some relief already from this med after only 2 applications. I suffer from hypertonia and fissures.

Life-changing medicine. Went from a terrible quality of life to feeling normal in almost 2 weeks. The only downside of this drug is how unbelievable expensive it is... $600+ because insurance would not cover it.

I had very acute fissure first time and this thing costed me $800 that time. I got to say this things works and would suggest to anyone. Also, I would highly suggest even after recovery only use prepH wipes the one sam’s club has it are the best. This would prevent fissure from coming back in future. Wipes are must or eles it would keep on coming back if its acute like mine.

I have several internal bleeding hemorrhoids, surgery in 3 weeks, this med works, but be careful I used what was prescribed & stood up to fast & was very dizzy & fell over,so I'm careful not to get up immediately,it's good for bad anal pain when nothing else worked for me.

I had immediate relief from rectal pain. I did suffer mild headaches, but went away in a few days. I have been using for 10 days and fissure is healed and I have had no pain or bleeding. I will continue for the 3 weeks prescribed by my doctor.

Suffered excruciating pain over the last year. The anticipation of another bowel movement caused great anxiety. Tried diet change and fiber supplements. Started Rectiv three days ago. On my fourth day. All pain has subsided. Very slight tingle in my head when initially applied each time. Wouldnt consider it a headache, but more of an indication the medication was taking effect. Sitting on the beach today. Dreaded the thought of a four hour plane ride. No pain after two applications. Worth trying if recommended by your Doc!Read More Read Less

I have developed several bad anal fissures, and the specialist prescribed Rectiv. Even with insurance, very expensive--$95 with insurance and $770 without insurance at various pharmacies. The first dose (1 inch of cream) left me with a bad beating migraine at both temples and at the occipital area of my head for about 12 hours. I used frozen gel packs for my head and had to lay down and could do nothing because of my head. I have reduced dose to half inch of cream and I still get bad beating migraine, but only for 4 hours. Sadly I am getting constipation from this med, which I never had before, and that doesn't help the problem. Read More Read Less

Iâ??ve had a fissure for about six months that would come and go. About two weeks ago it became very uncomfortable and I was bleeding profusely after bowel movements. I also began spotting in my underwear at night (not sure why it was always at night.) I went to my doctor and he suggested a steroid; however, I thought Rectiv would work better for me, especially because I was having severe cramping. As bad as I was bleeding, I was terrified I would need surgery. I started this medicine two nights (four doses so far.) Iâ??m using a little more than the size of a pea with each application. This is much less than the suggested dose but with even that amount my head and body feels kind of weird. I wouldnâ??t want to experience a full dose. I had my first bm with no blood this morning and Iâ??m not longer spotting. I hope to continue to improve and contribute the improvement to Rectiv. Read More Read Less

I had an anal fissure in October of 2013, TWO in October of 2014, and just today (October 1, 2015), I can tell it's back. Last year, the doctor prescribed Rectiv last year. Yes, I get increased heart rate and a headache, but it's temporary, maybe a half-hour. Last year was awful, so painful I couldn't do anything some days. The doctor couldn't even examine the area for almost a month--but the Rectiv did reduce things. I may need surgery just to eliminate this, but I'm hoping taking Rectiv when this starts will reduce things--I'm going on vacation in 5 weeks, I don't want surgery right now.Read More Read Less

I experienced severe anul pain by using over the counter hemoroid cremes and swauves. Imagine driving home everyday screaming because you're in pain from sitting. Imagine pulling over midway home to put a wet hemoroidal swauve on the painful hemoroids hoping that would ease the misery so that you could get home. Imagine working on your knees because its too painful to sit down. I finally got enough and went to the doctor. My doctor referred me to a specialist that recommended Rectiv in lieu of surgery. In about 72 hours, I could bear sitting at work and driving home. RECTIV reallllllly worked.Read More Read Less
