My last Migraine lasted 5 days. Because I do not like the way narcotics make me feel, and few of them help enough to be worth the side effects, I usually have just gone to bed, taking over the counter sleep meds and lots of Excedrin praying no one would flip on the lights without thinking! The 5 day migraine forced me to go to the ER. After a shot Tordadol, several intrusive tests, and finally a...

I have had migraines my whole adult life. Have tried every kind of medication, both prescription and holistic, herbal, etc. Fioricet has been the most effective if I take it early enough, at the first signs the headache is coming on. I have not had to resort to Vicodin or go to the ER now for several years.

After getting 3 migraines a week all fall/winter I went to my doctor because excedrine no longer helped with migraines. With a 4 year old and working full time, I don't have time to suffer through migraines or constantly call in sick. Went to my doc and we tried Fiorcet. It's the only migraine pill that has helped with the pain and vision issues. Went to a neurologist to see about other options (both preventative and pain management). Prevention didn't work too well, and the more expensive pills didn't work at all (while fiorecet still works). Only issue is I seem to have a hard time typing at work (dyslexia) only when I take the med.Read More Read Less

I only have 4 dosis and already had a really bad skin allergy reaction, besides that the headache is in full force. Dizziness and confusion are the other side effects that I have been having. Great!

I was diagnosed with MS 22 years ago. I have suffered with headaches for several years. During the past 20 years, I have suffered with migraine headaches. This year, 2014, the FDA took Fioricet tablets off the market, 40-325-50. Recently, Fioricet capsules have been available, 40-320-50. Fioricet has saved my life. Fioricet has enabled me to control my headaches and stay out of the emergency room. I have been taking this drug for over 20 years, and all of my kidney/liver counts are great! In addition, I have been receiving Tysabri infusions to control my MS every 28 days. Read More Read Less

I had daily headaches (which turned out to be migrianes) and took Goodys headache powders. The taste was horrible but they worked, and they worked fast. After taking 1-2 Goodys a day for 1 1/2 years, they almost ate a hole in my stomach. Upon going to a neurologist, they had me try every med. out there but the side effects were really, really bad. The one med. that worked was Fioricet. I also take Lyrica for Fibromyalgia and that has cut down the number of headaches I have. I have heard of a device now approved my the FDA. It's called Cefaly - maybe with it, I can eliminate the Fioricet.Read More Read Less

I have suffered from migraine and tension headaches for around 30 years. I have been given Motrin, Ibrofrin , by drs 800 milligrams at a time. Which did noting for my headaches. But ruined my stomach. Tried over the counter mes which did nothing. I would be in bed for at least a week, not able to function. Now that I take this in the beginning of a headache it will either totally get rid of the tension headache or if i get the migraine soon enough it also helps. I usually have to take two to knock it out. I also find I can function while taking this medication. My problem now is drs. are getting really strange about giving it. They either give a small amount like 8 tablets and except it to last a month. Or they won't refill it. My primary dr that I use to go to would not even give it to me even though I told her it was the only meds that worked for me. One time i ended up in the er with a really bad headache and they wanted to give me codeine . Now that just gives me a worse headache. Read More Read Less

I've had migraine headaches for years and had tried everything out there. This has worked wonders for me. Some people become addicted to it and others misuse it so you have to be very careful. DON'T take on an empty stomach. The only drawback is the taste. If you get the nasty taste on your tongue, suck on an Altoid. Always works for me!

The 5 day migraine forced me to go to the ER. After a shot Tordadol, several intrusive tests, and finally a shot of Dilaudid (something I never want to experience again!) my headache was still there. They sent me home with Fioriset. After the first dose, I slept for 8 hours straight, which I hadn't done in a week! The second dose, I slept 8 more hours! I didn't need a third dose. I Think the sleeping was do to exhaustion and the fact tat I could finally relax, not so much a side effect of the drug. The next Migraine, as soon as my head started throbbing and I saw the little lights in the corners of my eyes, I took a dose of Fioricet. Headache was gone within half an hour!! It never progressed. It is a Wonder Drug!! Read More Read Less

I've had migraines since a bad car wreck in 1885 and have tried every migraine medicine out there. The side effect of those were horrible with every one of them!!! Fioricet has been a God send. They work perfectly with no side effects.

I've had migraines for 30 years. Been put through the ringer and tried every treatment and Rx known to the free world. Fioricet is the only Rx that does not cause side affects. I can drive, work and function. It is unfortunate that neurologists think it is a bad Rx to use frequently. Time has proven to me it is the best for my circumstance. I have to listen to my body and mind and do what is safe for me.
