I have been taking this medication daily for almost three months now, and have had absolutely NO side effects. I'm really surprised at all the negative reviews. It was my only option for antibiotics to take--I have four kidneys so that makes me suceptible to UTI's. I'm a nursing mother, too, so it had to be safe for the baby. Plus I'm allergic to several kinds of antibiotics, and this one was the only one that worked with that as well as being what the bacteria was sensitive to. I haven't had any adverse reactions. I have been taking this for 5 days now and feel fine

It seems to be working

I began to see improvement within 48 hours and did not experience any side affects.

I get frequent UTIs, but haven't had one in a few years. I woke up with a horrible one 2 days ago and had to go to the ER yesterday. The doctor gave me Septra and Pyridium for it. The only side effects I have are loss of appetite, drowsiness, dizziness, and headache. I would take all those symptoms as long as the infection goes away! Plus, you're supposed to rest and drink lots of water, so the symptoms aren't really bothersome.

I've been taking this medication for 4 days. So far I've experienced no appetite, dizziness, headache, nausea, anxiety, hypoglycemia, and extreme fatigue. I can't wait for the end of this prescription.

I took septra ds for over a month and at first it looked like it was working, then bang! my infection was back to normal, but i had no side effects at all, it was worth the try i guess

I really didn't have any issues while taking this medication for 7 days I was advised to eat and drink a lot of water so I did I believe that helped. After treatment was done the very next day I got really terrible stomach cramps and persistent diarrhea,dizziness and headache. Will not take this again.

Taking medicine for three days now, I have massive cramps, headaches, and cannot sleep. My infection is gone! But I had several side effects.

I will start out by saying that this cleared u my infection... BUT i got chills, insomnia, fever, backache, stomachache, tightening of the chest and a cough! Stay away from Septra ds. When I called a nurse about my symptoms, she told me that "these are not side effects from Septra DS". But after reading the reviews I know otherwise!!!

I've been on this medication for 6 days now one more day to go. I have noticed a my face has a very fine rash on it and the last two days now i have been aching in my arms and shoulders. I have been very sleepy too. I don't think I'll be taking this particular medicine again, unless it is absolutly necessary

The only medicine i will take when i have a uti, works well, but it will cause a vaginal yeast infection within taking the first pill make sure u have a yeast infection creme on hand.

Was placed on it for two weeks , first three days didn't work at all to skin infection. Then on fourth day moved to higher dose(1600 to 3200). Caused hives all over body and very high fever by the 5th day. Next today High Fever , Vomiting up water, unable to eat, dizziness , fatigue , itching , red skin. 6th Day signs went away , still hives but then later in the day hives so back up . Then the high faver, then the vomiting water again, then the itching feeling to skin which turned red and was hot to the touch. Result in emergency room visit on IV drip due sever loss of fluids in the body and unable to retain water. And Rapid Heart Beat due anaflaynix shock. Place under quarantine by hospitalization from ER. I WOULD NEVER TELL A SINGLE PERSON TO TAKE THIS DRUG CAUSE IF YOU DO HAVE AN SEVERE REACTION. Because of recurrent bladder infection (The last one I had was 3 weeks ago) the doctor prescribed me a different antibiotic than the last one. It works well, my UTI symptoms went away. However I had nausea, dizziness, fatigue and a headache. I did feel better after eating a light lunch though. So I think, even though this medication says you can take it with or without food, it should be taken with food.

this medicince was prescribe to be from doc for some test was going to do to cause me dizziness chills migrane headache ,blurred vission stil cant see chest pains doctor trying find out why i cant see why my near sight got bad really fast have get really close seee anything im 40yr old with 3 girls 17 16 2 yr old dont recomend none dont touch this medicine not worth it took 2 days 800 2 day 4 pills

I was given three days on this medication, taking it twice a day. The first day, I started having side effects. The headaches and nausea are the only two that I have experienced. It makes me feel so weak and wanting to lie down because the light makes my head hurts works and different smells make me want to throw up.

Wow, I have only taked 3 pills.,1 yesterday and 2 today.Tonight started itching, joints and muscles ache. I'm not taking anymore after reading side effects. All I've got is a boil on inside of leg. I will try other avenues.

My Dr. Prescribed this medicine for a rash on my arms.I have been on it for 5 days.My skin now itches all over.I have 0% energy. It has done nothing to help the original rash on my arms.Might work for some not for me.

Took medication for 18 days and found that it was causing nausea, loss of appetite, dizziness, and fatique in neck and shoulder muscles.
