This drug has been very good to me, giving me back my life. I used to just lay on the couch, doped up under a heating blanket, now I am out doing the things I enjoy, with no pain or dopy feeling. I realize this drug has severe withdrawel effects, when the time comes for me to go off of them I trust my doctors will do the right thing.

I had a horrible reaction to it. Was given with Midazolam for cataract surgery. It knocked me total blackness in seconds. Blood pressure went from 115/75 hr 75 to 198/63 hr 51 I woke up drunk. Eye Dr. I must be COVID 19, I TOLD HIM I FEEL LIKE I I WAS INJECTED WITH VODKA,! my Dr. said FENTANYL TURN INTO MORPHINE in my body. The Anesthetist would have caught the problem, but didnâ??t. I JUST FINISHED A 5 DAY HIGH AND HEADACHE PLUS COULDN'T HOLD FOOD DOWN TILL TODAY, PLUS IM IN STAGE3 KIDNEY FAILURE. PLUS I ASKED TO BE AWAKE LIKE LAST MONTH SURGERY. 2 different Anesthetist and 2 nd tried to killed me with FENTANYL.. AND SENT ME ON MY WAY WITHIN 15 minutes in recover. Escorted me to the car, with me staggering, slurring. TAKE TO YOUR DOCTOR RESEARCH, RESEARCH... THEY DONT TALK ABOUT THE BAD HORRIBLE REACTIONS Read More Read Less

Horrible experience, many of the rare side effects the most horrifying the distortion of reality. This should not be used on someone who has never used opiods... I am not a fearful person but I am now terrified of having to go into the hospital, I had a lobectomy of my right lung and this med also caused post op bronchospasms.

It was given to me at the hospital after foot surgery. It caused shallow breathing and headaches. I could not go to sleep after the procedure because I would stop breathing while sleeping. It finally wore off. I think is very irresponsible to use this drug during and right after surgery on someone who has never taken narcotics.

Was given this medication in an epidural following major surgery. Has to stop it in a few hours because of extreme itching. Would rather deal with pain than itching

I HAVE BEEN ON THE PATCH TWICE. THE FIRST FROM FALLING 30FT FROM A UTILITY POLE. THEY PUT ME ON THE PATCH AFTER EVERYTHING ELSE WASN'T WORKING.THE PATCH HELPED MADE IT POSSIBLE TO HAVE A SEMI NORMAL LIFE. THE SECOND TIME WAS AFTER HAVING A SECOND STROKE. I GOT AN INFECTION THAT HAS STARTED ON MY LEFT FOOT AND HAS NOW SPREAD ALL THE WAY UP THE LEG. THE PAIN WAS UNBEARABLE TIL THE DR. DECIDED TO USE THE PATCH. NOW THE PAIN IS AT LEVEL 5 WHICH IS OK WITH ME IT HAS NOT HELPED THE INFECTION BUT BOTH TIMES IT DID HELP THE PAIN.Read More Read Less

I have been using the Fentanyl patch for 2 years now for my chronic back pain due to damaged lumbar discs, my doctor and I agreed to changing them every 48 hours. In the beginning my patches always fell off so I ordered "Hypafix" medical tape from a medical supply store and placed directly over my patches and I have not had a problem since.

I've been on this patch 1 1/2 yrs. It was helpful but only lasted 48 hrs. So I'd have 24 hrs of pure hell. My doctors didn't care and wouldn't help me at all. I was treated like I was a drug addict & a lab monkey in a cage whereby doctors decided to do whatever they wanted with my treatment. I happen to use my boyfriends gabapentin as it upset his stomach. It did wonders for me. I took 1800mg a day plus my 75mg patch & I was close to being pain free. I just needed Celebrex too. I went thru 8 doctors & 2 pain doctors over a 4 yr period to finally get the help I needed and that's only because I researched on-line, figured out what I needed and then fought and fought to get the medical help I needed. The medical industry is a joke and self serving. If the doctor can't do a quick fix whether medicine or surgery and get rid of you, they don't want you as a patient. The days when doctors actually cared about their patients is dead. So don't get discouraged, just keep trying to find the right doctor. I have 4 bad neck discs and 3 bad back discs. My neck is basically collapsing. I've felt like I was going to have a complete physical breakdown several times and I have had to fight off killing myself almost on a daily basis. Doctors didn't care so you better care about yourself and keep fighting! Read More Read Less

Had acute pain following a knee replacement. Worked well. Caution should be observed if taking additional opioid orally. With me I took the patch off a day earlier than prescribed to better control medication intake.

My concern is that some fentanyl causes severe diarrhea, while other brands (manufacturers) do not.

Fentanyl patch was the 3rd opiod pain killer prescribed to me, and of them all, the pain was minimal, but wow,I'm not sure if its normal but the Sweating and Fatigue were uncomfotably frequent...Im weaning off so for all I know I could still be withdraling from the oxycontins or oxycocet I stopped taking 2mos ago....I replaced oxy with Fentanyl and am wondering if aI may still have had symptoms of withdrawls despite the immediate switch. The fatigue is ok, but my sleep is broken, so I get up in middle of night and cant get back to sleep, or I just doze on and off all day if I sit or lay down. Read More Read Less

After 5 yrs of being in severe pain from spine and knee injuries, and trying many different pain recipes of both narcotic and none narcotic, my doctor prescribed the Fent patch - I am currently taking 100 mg and altho it does not last 3 days in really helped me cut down on the oral narcotic medications I was taking. I still take 2-3 Narcotic pills daily. With this RX I can live a fairly normal life and thank God for that.

This has been a lot better for me than morphine. I am worried about the shaking my body goes into when the drug wears off after 3 days. My dose is 125mmg. every 3 days. I wonder if this is a very high dose? Can anyone out there vouch for my dose?

HAD ORDERED TEGA-DERM TO KEEP THEM ON,UNTIL THAT ARRIVED USED TAPE TO KEEP THEM ON. STILL FELL OFF. CALLED DR WHEN I HAD ONLY 1 PATCH LEFT AND LEFT MESSAGE FOR A CALL BACK. NEVER CAME. SO UNTIL THURSDAY I AM WITHOUT THE PATCH. THIS IS NOT GOING TO BE A FUN WEEK. 51 Y/O WOMAN WHO ISN'T A DRUG SEEKING ADDICT. I have lupus and spinal stenosis, this drug delivery system stopped me waking in fright daily at 6am. I am able to go about my business which I could not do on oxycodone. I can't even compare the differnce in constipation - much better on this. I use endone 5mg for breakthrough and find that the patch doesn't really last three days but it is a winner for me, I would be putting my head in an oven without some mobility and the only other source for me was facet joint injections. Hail the patch.

I have had good results with this med, although I have read that a lot of people find that the fall off. Request from the pharmacy that you get the patches made by Milan pharmasutical. They are better for me and have no problem staying on unlike the ones from Watson. And they never fall off due to showers or swimming. Good luck to all my fellow pain sufferers. And a good support system is key.
