After an accident that occurred, I decided not to take any chances and take Plan B. My "mishap" happened around 1 a.m., so I planned to go to the pharmacy the next morning to purchase Plan B (about 8 hours later). I was a bit nervous to take it because of the side-effects, but in fact, I experienced NONE at all. The negative side of Plan B is that it is fairly expensive (around $50); however, I wo...

I use the nuva ring for birth control. One day after having sex I felt some discomfort so I decided to adjust my nuva ring. To my surprise I could not find it anywhere. So I figured it fell out in a toilet somewhere and took the plan B one step for precaution. I felt really tired for a couple of weeks. Then on 10/22 I was suppose to get my cycle. I started cramping but no cycle. I waited a week an...

I have taken it before and it worked but this time i took it and I bled for 2 days about 2 weeks ago and now ive been bleeding for 2 days but it is extremely light. So i don't really know what to think. Hope it worked, but on the bright side, if you are a college student you can get it through your school dr. for about half the price! Always a good thing to know.

I Took the pill after having unprotected sex and it worked. It Workeed great. About a week later I had a short spotting period that lasted two days (thought that it was my period. It drove my sex drive down, another symptom was i broke out on my face more than then the just normal one or two pimples. Normal scheduled period arrived lighter than usual though :) Worked great!!!

I was a bit nervous to take it because of the side-effects, but in fact, I experienced NONE at all. The negative side of Plan B is that it is fairly expensive (around $50); however, I would rather pay $50 then have to find out I was unexpectedly pregnant. I recommend taking it if you really feel that you need to and do not want to take any chances. Just relax, take the pill, and remember to be more cautious the next time!Read More Read Less

My period was late about 4 days. It had me worrying like crazy. But the side effects were it may be early or late. Overall, did the job it wanted too.

I'm happy with this medication because it kept me from becoming pregnant but it gave me horrible headaches for about 3 days.

I'm a 43 yr old woman who has NEVER forgotten my pill until a few weeks ago. My husband and me were so shocked to be so careless so I went to CVS and got the one step plan B pill. That cost was $42.00! I took it one HOUR later after our mishap. Then one week later I started a period? (Not sure if you call it a period due to I had just gotten off mine when the mishap happened.) Any way, I was heavily bleeding and still am even though my Dr had to put me on extra hormones along with my pill to control the flow. It helped but still going...this is day frieking 15!!!! I know it's not a miscarriage due to the fact that I took plan B, the DAY after my regular period and ONE HOUR after unprotected sex.Read More Read Less

Very easy to obtain and very easy to use. Only one pill to take. Some side effects included dizziness, fatigue that lasted for several days and some cramping. My period came 3 days earlier than expected and was only a little lighter than normal. Our accident happened on Day 14 of a normal 28 day cycle, so it was right in the middle of a full cycle. However, my cycles have been shortening for the last 10 months and I am experiencing closer to a 24 day cycle which makes timing ovulation, etc difficult. Regardless, I took the pill about 9 hours after the accident (had to wait for the pharmacy to open) and then waited. What a relief when my period came! It started slowly, which is unusual, but became pretty close to normal by the second day.Read More Read Less

I took plan B the next day after unprotected sex. Had spotting 3 days later then my normal period came 1 week earlier (and it was sooo light that i still do not know if it was a period) then the next period started after 5 weeks. My breas was swallen and I had mood swings and cravings so I was very scared that I was pregnant, but thanks god today my period came and I am very very happy. It was not the first time me using plan B, but before this time I never had any side effects unlike this time. I have decided to ask my doc. for IUD and not worry about getting pregnant for another 5 years for sure even if a guy comes inside. It is just too much to take to worry every time a condom broke, you forgot to take your pill (or you are out of pills), or whatever other circumstance you had. Ladies, if you can - try to use an IUD i think it is a solution for many of us. Read More Read Less

Nov 18 I got my period and on Dec 3-4th my boyfriend and I hadn't use protection and I was a little worried because the days happen to fall right smack in my mid-cycle. We use contraceptive but I guess the heat of the moment caught us off guard. On Dec 5th at 8pm I took the Plan B pill. I did experence some cramping and mild nausea, after taking the pill but nothing unbearable. I waited for my period and on Dec 16th... I got it! It was right on time. I am very pleased with this product.

i took the plan b one setp just two months ago and still has not seen a period. the directions and side effects say that if you dont have a period that you may be pregnant so i took the precutions and took both the home pregnancy test along with a blood work and they both came out neggative. when i called customer service they could only tell me that i need to go to a physician. so i am very disappointed in the over all pill and after math. i will not take it again just stick to normal methods of birh control. I had heard about this emergency pill back when it was called just "Plan-B". When I bought it recently, it was being sold as "PlanB One Step" - there was only one pill to take, which made it so easy. I took 2 pills ( 1.5mg each) in a span of 6 hours, because I had two mishaps, and called their 1-800 number. I was told by the customer service agent that it works "per contact" and was advised to take another pill as a precaution. For the next 3-5 days, I experienced some side-effects: mild cramps in my abdomen, headache, nausea, dizziness, loss of appetite, and an overall feeling of tiredness/fatigue. But it was not something that I could not tolerate or that kept me from going to work. The physical symptoms were nothing compared to the mental/emotional anxiety that I had to endure while waiting for my period! In the end, I was happy and relieved with the results, because I got my period - even two days ahead. I also took a pregnancy test after my period because some say that one side effect of this pill is bleeding/spotting. It turned out negative and everything’s back to normal! I’m not sure though if its effectiveness was due to the fact that I double-dosed and took 2 pills in 6 hours. I don’t know if it would have worked if I only took one. I suggest to follow the advise and take it for every time there is a mishap. Overall, it was not such a bad experience for me and I would recommend this pill for those ‘emergency’ moments.
