I have had gastric bipass surgery and have found out that my stomach is very sensitive to certain drugs. I'm having female problems and my gynocogist gave me a precription for Lortab 5 , they said it didn't have codiene in it, but I had the same reaction to it as if it had codiene in it. I even told the pharmist I was allergic to codiene and they gave it to me anyway. So beware it was a VERY bad e...

I have taken Lortab 5 for years for severe headaches and fibromyalgia flare-ups. Works every time and fairly quickly too.

I have severe arthritus due to 3 left knee surgeries, a broken bone in my neck, 3-broken collar bones and a dislocated shoulder, bursitus and rotator cuff issues, yes, all sports related from back in the day but taking one of these mid-day and one at bedtime improve my quality of life. I cycle off them a month a year and take aleve and during that time live in discomfort, people who have been busted up and need something like this as perscribed should not feel guilty because of the people who abuse medicine, they need to deal with that and it should not affect those who really need something to offset discomfort 24/7. Taking Lortab 5-500 for pain post-foot surgery I had 5 days ago. Started taking it the day of surgery. The day after surgery the pain was an 8 on a 10 scale and the Lortab took the edge off, but I was still suffering. However since then (three days) the lortab has worked great. I went from one pill every 3 to 3.5 hours for 2 days, to one pill every 5-6 hours for pain management, less needed as I heal. I started taking a senna based laxative/stool softner the day of surgery and constipation has not been a problem. Lortab makes me VERY sleepy though so I use a kitchen timer to wake me up for my hourly foot icing and walking around (and prescribed by my Dr.). Otherwise I'd just sleep. Read More Read Less

I had oral surgery today for a root canal. I received the generic hydrocodone-apap 5-500. I just took one pill which is my second dose 7 hours after the operation. It only took 20 minutes before I feel no pain. Best pain reliever I have ever taken.
