This topical gel works wonders (usually within 30 sec- to 2 mins) upon application. Relieves my knee pain immediately, until oral medication can be brought onboard. I won't be woth out it. I use up to 16G daily , 4 G q 4-6 hours. I loved it! I understand it's been out in Europe for over 15 years, only only 3 weeks in the US. What took us so long!!!

I was switched from Celebrex, which I was having no side effects from to Voltaren Gel which gave me chest pains and shortness of breath immediately! I went to a cardiologist and had to wear a Holter monitor for 24 hours and it showed it had effected my heart. I HAD NO HISTORY OF HEART PROBLEMS BEFORE TAKING THIS MEDICATION AND NON SINCE STOPPING IT.

I have been using Voltaire’s for approximately 3 weeks. It is a total game changer. I have end stage osteoarthritis in my big toes. It was incredibly painful. I had previously tried many oral over the counter anti inflammatory drugs. The gel is working wonders. I almost feel normal. The swelling is way down and the pain level is now way down. I am doing more activities. Give it a try! Measure out your dose and use for at least 7 days prior to deciding if it’s going to work for you. I noticed pain relief on day 1 but the level of pain relief several weeks out is amazing! Read More Read Less

It is not effective at all. Does not relieve pain. Bengay cream seems more effective

This is great stuff. I use in my ankles and knees. The is absolutely no chilling or burning feeling like some of the other creams or gels but rub it in and you will begin to notice your not hurting as bad or at all. This is truly a great product...

So far so good! I would like to also add , because I have seen a few say the same . READ THE INSTRUCTIONS!!!! It isn’t an immediate pain relief, like Ben Gay for example. I have been using it for 4 days, 4 times a day and using the measuring strip and it’s starting to help the RA in my hands. I will keep on using.

Firstly, I don’t know if it works. Very few meds I take for pain “show” me they are working unless it’s a narcotic and then it knocks you out. With that said, I am using right now for a possible rotator cuff tear. Again, maybe it’s the way I am sitting etc. compared to lying down but while sitting and using the gel, I feel better. Others have said it, USE AS DIRECTED. And who cares about how it smells. Come on people! Lastly, your personal condition can easily eclipse the effectiveness of your pain meds. Miracles are hard to find. This med is not one so don’t over expect. (I use this med occasionally and am not on a regiment of use. This certainly, based on data, can affect its effective effect .) I have chronic rheumatism in both hands and knees. My mother has been using this gel for decades in Europe and suggested I try it. It has worked wonders for me so far especially relieving pain in my fingers making it easier to do normal things again.

I used Voltaren for 4 months and it worked so well. Then it stopped working. Why is this? The Voltaren gel I used had NO smell whatsoever.

I use it on my feet because of peripheral neuropathy. It stops the pain and burning. But it smells SO BAD it almost makes me want to vomit. I have to hold my breathe while applying. I have yet to find out what the ingredient is that causes the horrible smell. This and off brands with the same active ingredient all have the bad smell.

Read the box. This is receiving bad reviews because people don't read! It gives me relief for osteoarthritis in my knee. It's not for strains etc! Box also states may take 7 days or so for relief! The bad reviews, due to misuse, are so annoying! I give it a 9 out of 10.

Bought and used on my knee. Seemed to help but it actually burned my skin in two areas. I have also experienced burned skin between my fingers after washing it off! Waste of money and it should not be used by anyone based on the nasty side affects.

I am posting based on the poor reviews; specifically those that say they used 9nce or twice with no relief. For crying out loud, read the instructions. You must apply a minimum of 7 days before relief is noticed. My goodness. READ!

I used it for a few days, on my wrist, it's kind of messy and smells bad, and didn't help with the pain.
