My pulse rate has been too low. I am tired and lack energy. I also take Nicardipine. The cardiologist has suggested having a pacemaker installed. It seems that would be counterproductive to using Bystolic.

Having severe cough with sometimes throwing up and heavy mucus.

This is the first drug to actually control my out of control heart rate; however, since starting Bystolic, I have experienced DAILY stomach problems (cramping, diarrhea, indigestion, nausea and gas). Also having difficulty sleeping and joint/muscle pain. That said, I'm still undecided as to weather I will continue it or not. I LOVE not feeling our of breath and paniced all the time but I'm not sure if I can tolerate the gastrointestinal side effects.

Bystolic 5mg brought my pulse rate from 125 down to what had been normal for me for years - 60 to 70 ! But THEN! my BP went too low! so I cut the pill in half for about 5 days. Still low. So now I am testing without it and so far my Micardis is doing the job alone. The cost of Bystolic is prohibitive - so I hope I can stay off it! (the low B/p 102/52 - made me very weak and tired!

Only 5 mg lowered my pulse rate within 24 hours - -but also lowered my Blood pressure rate to the point of "weakness" even at only 5mg. So - I have cut it in half and finally Both B/P and pulse rate have become stabilized. However -- the cost is prohibitive !!!! not covered by my insurance - so will probably have to discontinue. :(

Corrected my racing heart; on med about 3 years and I am able to do anything without worrying about extra heart beats.

have been on it for 12 days...more tired then ever...am a runner and I can hardly run on this

This medication has lowered my BP and my pulse, it has calmed me down and I am more relaxed now. So far out of the several meds I have tried this has given me the best results! . My only complaint is the high copay ....

Swelling and tirdness

curious if anyone has experience the following: out of town lost my overnight bag with meds was four days before I could get more due to my location..... severe vertigo to the point of almost passing out. it was as though the whole room was spinning. happened to anyone else?

Took Bystolic 4 days. Caused pain so bad, thought i would die. Pain was up and down esophagus when i ate or drank and also when air i had swallowed came back up as a burp. Took Bystolic 4 days & on 5th went to Dr. office in afternoon, had nothing to eat this past Fri. May 17, 2013, only water. ND could not explain why i was having so much pain. They gave me a EKG thinking i was experiencing a heart attach. NOT so, my heart was normal. ND also prescribed another beta blocker for HBP. No taking it. Will go the natural med way. I am experiencing shortness of breath and chest tightness. I have been on Bystolic 20 mg. for 3 months. I am worried that this is being caused by this drug. Please reply.

Helps me function throughout the day with limited heart pain. I do experience occasional dizziness and tiredness.

I gained weight taking this medicaation. Is this normal?

One of the results of the Med is an increasing loss of memory according to Web Med. I have experienced that syndrome. I have been on the drug for about 4 months and have noticed a general dumbing down. It is very frustrating. Also the copay costs are extremely high and I will ask for a different drug at my next appointment.

I have tried several beta blockers and they all have various side effects. This medicine has helped my heartbeat given me more energy. I have been able to exercise more and started losing weight. I also have thyroid problems for which I take medicine this medicine works well with it.
