Gained weight, pressure did not work for a year, then came down somewhat.

I have had nausea, stomach pains and headaches since taking This drug. I don't like the side affects but my blood pressure has come down.

Started Bystolic about 1yr ago. In the past 5 months side effects appeared severe headaches, bp is not controlled, sinus problems, leg and foot cramps, disturbed sleep and weird head feelings. Will try to switch to something else after speaking to Dr.

I started with 5mg. after reaching 40mg another drug was added but it still runs high just not very high. I now have chronic diahrea and abdominal cramps.

Do have a few side effects tingling in feet but if I quit taking it for the side effects then I wouldn't take any medication they all have side effectsmthats a given

Tired feel hungry headache

I have been taking Bystolic for about 4 OR 5 years. It basically lowered by pulse rate and the rate stays between 55 and 65 bpm. My blood pressure varies between 120 and 150 on the upper side and usually is in this high 60s are low 70s on the lower side. I have lower than normal cholesterol levels but I did have a stroke in January 2013. My doctors said that I was not a candidate for a stroke so I don't know what happened. I have made progress in getting better and I have high hopes of being able to use my right leg and arm near-normal. It's a slow process and I'm willing to give it a year.Read More Read Less

This Med has not helped lower my blood pressure . My Cardiologigist raised dosage from 5mg to 10mg has not helped.

I was diagnosed with LGL syndrome when I was in my 20's. I I have been on several beta blockers that became ineffective for me. The only side effect from Bystolic that I am aware of so far is extreme fatigue at times. I am pleased with the results.

Too many side effects! Headache,extreme tiredness,which was why I was changed to this.I was on toprol,but was extremely tired to the point of never wanting to do anything.Now in addition to that I have anxiety and nightmares,very week can't work,head feels like blood is pulsing to it brain fog,etc!!!!

I was prescribed Bystolic for high bp. I took it as directed for one and one half week. I went to urgent care and was immediately admitted to the hospital with stage four kidney failure. the kidneys haven't recovered and I'm looking at dyalisis real soon, all because of a bad medication

I have been taking 10 mg. per day for about one year. The BP has come down but I am tired all the time. I sleep very well although I have vivid dreams and need to take naps during the day even though I have slept 7 to 8 hours per night. I have always been an active person but I must find an alternative med ication as the fatigue and drowsiness are increasing and are ruining my life.

I have 140/90 (stage I) BP. I have been on Brand New Drugs as: Edarbi 80mg. (made diarrea) explosive. Been on: Verapamil - Coreg - Lisinopril - Cardura - Topol XL - atenolol - Carvedilol - Labetalol - Metoprolol - Nadolol - Propranolol & Bystolic - Out of all of these BYSTOLIC WAS THE WINNER HANDS DOWN. *Insurance would not pay for Bystolic. Had to pay out of pocket. This one comes in 20mgs. I take 40 mgs a day. EXTREMELY SATISFIED ASK YOUR DOCTOR TO TRY YOU ON THIS MEDICATION.

Before taking Bystolic I was feel really dizzy and my pressure was still elevated with the old medicine. Once prescribed after a few days I felt as good a new, back to my old self no more headaches or dizziness.

Causes my legs to really bother me,cramps,plain misery,can't sleep and am very tired.

I had bad side effects on 5mgs of this drug. Was given it cause I got high potassium level on Diovan. Took Bystolic 4 mos & had to switch to 50 mg Losartan cause Bystolic made me tired and headachy, dizzy, dry eyes, absent libido, and more tired. Bad reviews on internet scared me off for good. Feel better now that I am off it. I do NOT recommend it.

Took 3 weeks to get B/P normal range. Side effects include headaches,nausea and bloating. Plan to ask doctor to change to another medication. My hypertension was sudden onset following lots of stress. Always had low blood pressure until 2 months ago. Managing my stress may have helped lower B/P and keep it under control.
