Vyvanse is a new drug on the market the is very similair to Adderall XR. Like any ADHD medication, this drug does raise one's heart rate and will have an affect on one's stomach. Something that I do is open up the capsule and pour the contents into apple sauce. The mixture of the food and the medication makes it a lot easier on the stomach. The common misconception is that you need the capsule, bu...

Story: I had taken 20MGs Vyvanse as a kid for ADHD, it worked great and soon I was the smartest kid in my whole class, eventually it just stopped working around middle school so I stopped taking it, and my grades went back down to being barely passing. Sophomore year in Highschool, I decided to try it again because I was failing all my classes because I could never stay focused in class, I asked m...

I have tried almost all the other meds for ADD and this is the only one with out the ups and downs. It takes some time to adjust to not having that kick in the morning but i feel happier with out it.

Only been on it for a few days now, and other reviews are correct in noting the lack of "rush" (euphoric onset) as opposed to Adderall XR (which has been a miracle drug for me). My insurance ran out in switching between jobs, so my doctor gave me the 1 month free, and so far, I notice I can focus, but I don't feel like I'm on "speed" yet it's still effective. Surprising

I love the way this medicine works, I just have a hard time swallowing the capsul because it is very light and floats around the top of my mouth.

My son had been on Adderall XR for a long time. Out doctor suggested Vyvanse, it has been wonderful. He finishes all work with no trouble, one thing that we have noticed there are less of the immature behavior that we had always seen in the past. I would recommend this drug to any with a child that has ADD.

Vyvanse is a bad drug. I was diagnosed with ADD and have been treating it with Adderall for the past 4 years, and all the sudden my Psychiatrist springs it on me to try Vyvanse, only giving me shallow reasons such as its 'so-called' inability to cause dependence and abuse. I got a 30-day trial for free. Never in my life have I experienced the psychosis caused by Vyvanse-- it literally caused me to be in a constant fury and paranoia. Parents should really read into the drugs that the doctors are trying to prescribe to their children-- the only reason there is a push for Vyvanse now is because the patent for Adderall is running out, therefore other companies will be able to make generic Adderall, causing Shire, the original makers of Adderall and Vyvanse, to lose money. So, Shire is trying to keep their grips on the ever-growing ADHD community by pushing another similar drug, which happens to be heavy in side effects, all for money. Don't allow the drug industry to play games with you, or your child.Read More Read Less

My son is on this medication and we have seen wonderful results. It took about a week w/ stomach aches and head aches to go away but we worked through this. Most importantly, he is happy with his results at school, and his teacher is very pleased. We have seen great improvements in his attention span and he completes tasks on time. We have also seen less impulsive, immature behavior. It's made a very positive difference in my son's life.

This medication helps me focus at work without disruptions or other mind thoughts. It also helps me focus at home and other stuff besides works itself. I am one to procrastinate, EVERYTHING. And I have finally found a medication called Vyvanse Oral, to help motivate me and GET IMPORTANT THINGS ACCOMPLISHED. I highly recommend this medication to those who have ADHD and are serious procrastinators and also people who have social anxiety. What a world of a difference. AND I am able to sleep at night with NO PROBLEMS at all! Thank you Vyvanse!Read More Read Less

My 7yo son has TERRIBLE rebounding problems with Vyvase!!!! Controlled his symptoms nicely during the day but come 6pm, all hell broke loose! My cheerful happy kid hid behind a chair and cried for an hour - not even Harry Potter could soothe him. He said his head felt like it was going to explode and that he wished he were dead b/c then he wouldn't get in trouble at school so much. And this was on 1/2 the recommended dose.

I was officially diagnosed with ADHD 4 days ago and this is my 4th day taking Vyvanse. I can't believe the difference! For the first time in my life I'm able to focus with other distrations going on around me. I'm able to read a paragraph once and remember what it said. I feel like I'm starting a brand new life.

Recently diagnosed with ADHD and this is the first drug I've tried. It has really helped me focus. I can't take in any other forms of caffine or I get very jittery. Its very expensive ($133.00 a month) and my insurance doesn't cover it. Over all I do much better on it than off

I have only taken this drug for a few days but am pleased with the results compared to other drugs that I have taken. I was concerned about taking the drug because constipation was mentioned as a side effect and constipation is dangerous for me because of intestinal obstructions. I am curious if anybody has experienced constipation as a side effect.
