Vyvanse is a new drug on the market the is very similair to Adderall XR. Like any ADHD medication, this drug does raise one's heart rate and will have an affect on one's stomach. Something that I do is open up the capsule and pour the contents into apple sauce. The mixture of the food and the medication makes it a lot easier on the stomach. The common misconception is that you need the capsule, bu...

Story: I had taken 20MGs Vyvanse as a kid for ADHD, it worked great and soon I was the smartest kid in my whole class, eventually it just stopped working around middle school so I stopped taking it, and my grades went back down to being barely passing. Sophomore year in Highschool, I decided to try it again because I was failing all my classes because I could never stay focused in class, I asked m...

My 11 year old son took this and at first we thought we had found the wonder drug. He was focused at school and getting his work done. Then after about two weeks, he began having meltdowns at home and crying uncontrollably. I noticed that he stopped smiling and playing. I asked him what he thought about his medicine and he told me that he sometimes felt really sad and just wanted to kill himself. Sorry--but no child should have to feel that way. We took him off of his medicine and off of all medication. He has been medicine free for a year and he is growing and eating for the first time. School work is still a challenge, but he is learning to stay focused for short periods on his own. He is learning to be respoonsible for his actions as well. We do give him L-Theanine, which is a natural supplement. Read More Read Less

i just started this medication. i was previously using adderall xr. in my opinion this drug is totally non effective. i take it in the morning, it takes approx 1 and 1/2 to 2 hours to start working. I have about 30 minutes of time where i just want to talk to my coworkers. then i feel like i'm coming down all day, very depressed feeling, headache, no appetite, no motivation, no desire to work or smile, hard to even fake it around my coworkers. this drug is totally useless and i am in the process of getting another dr so i can get back on the adderall that works so wonderfully.Read More Read Less

Effectiveness: Not only does it allow you to clear your mind and focus, but it also motivates you to get thigns done (schoolwork, cleaning, etc) Ease Of Use: You take the pill when you wake up with water, nothing easier than that. Satisfaction: If you enjoy being able to focus, think clearly, and get things done, at the cost of minimal eating and little sleep, this med is perfect.

My son has been taking 30mg a day. It has improved his grades 100%! He has episodes every now and again when he doesn't know how to feel. Frustration is a big one. I also notice that he does not tolerate any type of yelling. The 1st day my son took this medication he had a melt down. Parts of me felt guilty for giving him this medication. But on the other hand I now see the results and he is happy and much more active.

Ok so I was put on Phentermine about 2 months ago and realized that while on it I was a little more focused and could finish tasks. I never thought I was ADD, my folks just told me I didn't "apply myself". I spoke to my primary care phycisian and he thought I should speak to a Physciatrist, so I was blessed to find one. I was given a free 30 day rx for Vyvanse 30mg. So far so good, I will update as I progress. I hope this helps someone else.

For 3 months, I switched from Aderall XR to 30 mg of Vyvance. I stopped taking Vyvance after having startle reflexes several times while driving. Getting enough sleep was a problem too. I've been off all medications for the past 3 weeks. Tomorrow I'm going back to Aderall.

Just found out that my granddaughter switched from the patch to the pill. When she went to urgent care, her h/r and b/p was very high. She fainted yesterday and she is still dizzy today. Have any of you experienced high b/p or high h/r? She is getting a monitor put on today. Thanks.

My 13 year old granddaughter had what we thought was an anxiety attack a couple of weeks ago with racing heart, dizziness, shaking. Today she fainted after being dizzy all day and she is now off the patch. Has anyone else ever fainted from it?

First treatment med since diagnosed with ADHD. My therapist could never figure out source of intense self-loathing--apparently ADHD related. Had severe depressive episodes before. But, not covered by insurance. Took 30 mg, upped to 2x30 and heart raced. This seems to make me more agressive than my current med --Adderal XR 10mg. Also, I crashed badly at 8pm, so I break capsules open and took 1/3 in the am then the capsule w/ remaining 2/3 at 1pm. Working good. I awaken early but have had that problem for 2 years before this med. Read More Read Less

I'm an adult taking this medication. The medicine helps for some period of time but not long enough. It seems to work inconsistantly. I've had positive responses from others and I do notice the medicine helping too. When it stops working It's more difficult then ever to function. I have gained weight and also find sleeping is easier than before. It's so crazy how it effects me. Maybe it's the combination with other medications. I always have trouble with copying what code put up for verification! Read More Read Less
