The inhaler container should have a counter on it. How is a patient supposed to know when he/she is not getting the correct dose becuase it is impossible to tell when the canister is empty.

I believe that this ProAir is actually causing bronchitis like conditions. I was put on Dulera and stopped using the proair. Ran out of Dulera so I had to rely on Proair only. I get this thick green/gray mucus in the morning. All this completely went away when NOT using proair. Along with the mucus I get a bad cough also. I'm not happy.

My doctor gave me this inhaler after diagnosing me with asthma. I had a scary experience. The inhaler actually made my asthma symptoms much worse!! I started coughing terribly and had trouble breathing for several hours. My doctor said this "occasionally happens," but it's a side effect everyone should be well aware of.

Doc switched me to this from Ventolin for some ungodly reason. ProAir stops working when it hits 65 or so puffs left every time. Like the propellant has run out. I pay a $30.00 copay and I feel ripped off. I want my Ventolin back!

It does nothing for me, and dries up my throat, which makes coughing hurt more.

ProAir HFA is very expensive, tastes bad, and requires more puffs to bring the asthma attack under control. Unfortunately, I can't find any alternatives thanks to the CFC ban.

THe inhaler constantly clogs and wastes medicine. It is more expensive than other inhalers. It is a bad product.

Having mild asthma, I use ProAir only when sick or am suffering an attack (from second hand smoke, allergies, etc.) I have found it to be 100% effective with no side effects. What's great is it doesn't taste horrible like the older style inhalers. I love it!

I have been a user of Ventolin for many years and recently ran out and do to the increasing problems with my lungs I need it. I got the Proair HFA (albuterol sulfate) This is the most horrable drug I have taken I stayed sick for three days and fancy that I Quit taking it and started to get better I need the albuterol I only have 40% of my lungs left but I will not take this I would die and my wife would have to approach proair for putting me and so many others in a near death experience or worse. Some thing needs to be done. Read More Read Less

I experienced burning in my throat and upper respiratory tract while it cured the wheezing. Within 12 hours I was complaining to my internist about the pain from the inhaled substance, and demanded a script for Ventolin. Within 36 hours of the one dose, I had bad coughing fits and fevers. 2nd trip to internist determined I have bronchitis and a sinus infection. This drug made me sicker than the mild seasonal wheezing I was looking to relieve. Why this vile substance is still on mkt w/ all the complaints I have found on internet makes me very angry. There will be deaths, and there will be lawsuits.Read More Read Less

I have been limited by my insurance mail order to this aerosol. It constantly plugs up with crystals. They put a counter on it now but the crystalization problem has not been remedied. Other posts here say it's the HFA propellant they use now but I was in an emergency and used a friends Ventolin HFA and it was the difference between night and day. A very poor product, PROAIR. I need to pay the extra and quit using my insurance.
