The inhaler container should have a counter on it. How is a patient supposed to know when he/she is not getting the correct dose becuase it is impossible to tell when the canister is empty.

I believe that this ProAir is actually causing bronchitis like conditions. I was put on Dulera and stopped using the proair. Ran out of Dulera so I had to rely on Proair only. I get this thick green/gray mucus in the morning. All this completely went away when NOT using proair. Along with the mucus I get a bad cough also. I'm not happy.

Insurer switched from Ventolin to ProAir. I cannot get breathing relief from ProAir. I use four puffs and relief lasts for 20-30 minutes. I am also having a very bad cough with tightness in the chest. Not satisfied at all.

I have been an asthma sufferer most of my life and I am 35 years old. This is by far the worst and least effective inhaler I have ever used. Unfortunately, its the one covered by my insurance. Its very troubling, that a medication that is supposed to assist in one of the bodies most important function, breathing, that it is ineffective. Its also quite scary to say the least!

Worst product I've used in my 70 years on this planet and I've owned a Ford Pinto and a Nash Metropolitan. Took the first inhaler back to the pharmacy because nothing came out of it and when the pharmacist replaced it with another he grinned and good luck. I got two healthy puffs out of it and it quit. Proair, kill yourselves.

Absolutely horrible. The inhaler constantly clogs and never works properly. I've had to go back to a nebulizer because this inhaler just doesn't work.

I must have a completely different going on inside of me, but I've had great results from ProAir. I had breathing issues when playing sports my whole life, but only 1 attack, ever. I finally wanted to get an inhaler so I could possibly play sports again (I'm 34 now, and haven't played since I was 17)...My doctor had me try this, and right away I felt it working. I haven't jogged just yet, to test out how I feel, in comparison to my past, but I work in a warehouse, and I'd usually be out of breath climbing the stairs I climb. I don't. I feel really good. I try to use it 4 times a day, but sometimes I only remember two twice a day. Again, I have "exercise-induced asthma" and maybe it works great for what I have, but not for others who have very serious asthma issues. I'm sorry it hasn't worked for so many. I have not found any clogging or any issues. I could easily tell when my 1st inhaler was running out, though it'd be nice to know a bit earlier for sure, to get a replacement on time. I can understand this being a huge problem for someone who actually is trying to use an inhaler because of an attack. Read More Read Less

This brand must have some serious quality control issues. It basically has no effect on my condition. Other inhalers I've used have clearly made a difference almost immediately, allowing me to get rid of phlegm and stopping coughing fits a few minutes after inhaling-- nothing of the sort with Proair Hfa.

2 of 4 inhalers stopped working after <50 uses. It is not a very effective 'rescue' inhaler if it is not working. The pharmacist said she has heard similar complaints from many customers. Dont rely on this product

I used to use maxair autohaler (can no longer get it because of ridiculous environmental laws) and proair hfa is not even fractionally as effective. When I would use maxair I'd feel relief immediately -- within seconds. After one puff of proair hfa, I feel no different. Only after a few minutes of taking a second puff do I feel slightly better. But even then, my chest is still tight. If you have an actual asthma problem, do not get this useless medicine. You'll be in trouble if you have an asthma attack and the only inhaler on hand is this overpriced, function-less "medicine". It's great that they've banned all useful inhalers with CFCs though, so that at least while we're straining to breathe from asthma, each labored breath is infinitesimally fresher. Do yourself a favor and do not make the mistake of getting this medicine. Read More Read Less

I was only diagnosed with asthma about a year and a half ago. Never had any problems before and don't know why I have asthma now. Doctor put me on ProAir and Flovent. The Pro Air SUCKS !!!!!(so does the flovent , but that's another review). Pro Air makes me very jittery and makes me feel achy at times. In the last few weeks with the weather change I've had to use the Pro Air constantly and it only seems to make me cough and wheeze more. I have 8 inhalers that are clogged and won't come unclogged no matter what I do. Not to mention that I had an asthma attack while driving over the Chesapeake Bay bridge one morning and got no relief from my clogged inhaler. This product is dangerous and unreliable. Anyone know of a class action lawsuit because of all the problems with this so called medication and it's "luck of the draw" delivery system?Read More Read Less

My wife and I are both Asthmatic and use PROAIR HFA rescue inhaler of Albuterol. I use it about 3 times a week. Two Weeks ago I noticed mine was not working for my asthma. I sprayed it in the air and saw that nothing was coming out - nothing dispensing because it seemed to be plugged up. I took the inhaler apart by removing the tiny canister and ran water in the plastic dispenser reassembled the unit and it visibly sprayed. I did not tell my wife of this problem with PROAIR HFA assuming it was an anomaly. Tonight I was out and returned home to find my with writhing in the floor not being able to breath. I check the PROAIR she was using and found it was not dispensing. I rectified her PROAIR the same way and administered it to her and over the period of a 1/2 hour she recovered. After she recover she said she used it three time and it did not work for her and she did not know why. These two incidences indicate to me a serious defect in the PROAIR dispenser that plugs so easily that it endanger its users. Read More Read Less
