I take this medication (ProAir HFA ) for my bronchitis. I developed sharp chest pains for about 3-4 days then was ok for about 2-3 days and now my rib area has been in a dull yet uncomfortable pain. Can't lay on my left side. Bumps and movement cause it to hurt. When I said I had chest pain my doctor put me in for observation of my heart. Which all came out with a good diagnosis. It states "rare but serious side effect" how come doctors don't look at any interactions and side effects with any meds your on to knock out any irregularities first then continue on with any other research of the cause of your symptoms. I find that three of my inhaler have clogged in the past year that I used. Thank God it didn't clogged while I was have attack.

I have been on ProAir about two yrs, they are a rip off,there are never all the doses supposed to dispense.

It gives me the relief to continue my day..

I have had asthma over 30 years, I am very familiar with all the medications and what works. PRO-AIR is by far the worst rescue inhaler I have ever used!! I have to use more of it to get any relief and I end up in the doctors office or in ER getting breathing treatments because its a useless produce. The best inhaler for me, is VEntolin, it work fast and well. Seems many doctors are trying to push (for a their kick-back) Pro-air over Ventolin but they will lose patients this way as many of us know our needs better than they do.Read More Read Less

I have suffered from Mild Asthma for 25 years. I have never had an issue with my Ventolin Inhaler, it always knocked out the asthma is a couple of days. Proair is not only ineffective, but has made the situation worse. I have not felt any relief for the past month of using this dangerous inhaler. I have had to forgo all athletic related activities and struggled to get sleep due to the coughing. I found an old inhaler, Ventolin, that expired 9 years ago, took a few puffs a couple of times and within a few hours my symptoms were gone. Why is this product, Proair, even on the market? IT DEPENDS ON THE BODY I have went from the albuteral inhaler to this one after have a nasty case of the coughs for the last week and my asthma wasn't helping after weezing and struggling for air I took this inhailer and instantly I felt like I could breath as I said it depends on the body how well this works guess I'm just one of the rare lucky ones ;)

I went into a house yesterday that had a cat, which is a huge asthma trigger for me. I was unaware the homeowner had just bought this cat (I typically avoid going in houses with cats). Of course, within a few minutes I needed my inhaler, reached in my purse for Pro Air HGA. Nothing came out! Luckily I had a second inhaler in my luggage and used that. I rinsed out the first one, but still nothing comes out. The counter on the cannister reads that over 70 doses are still left. What if I didn't have the second inhaler? Does not work at all. Good thing I found my albetrol during my asthma attack cause ProAir did not work. Maybe it works for other people but not me.

The delivery system is terrible. This product should be removed from the market. I have had asthma for 47 years and this is the worst albuterol delivery device I have ever used. It has probably caused asthmatics serious problems.

Have been using various inhaler products for over 5yrs with no problems, but current profit inhaler must be defective.mfg.Teva lot#DAB77A.almost no propellant! My previous empty inhaler still had a lot of propellant compared to this new one. I can not find a current recall on this product.

I use to love proair it was inhaler of choice however my last two refills i have noticed u need to take it more. I only needed to use my inhaler for exercise and the occasional attack but now its just about frequent and at night. I shared my concerns with doc and gave me allergy medication whiched helped however when an attack still occurs i don't feel i am getting the full puff. I runnout of pro faster than u ever dud before. I talked to a friend about it and she is having the same problem. Reading these reviews confirms it not in my mind.Read More Read Less

I hate hate hate this inhaler. I have had ashtma my entire life and alway had used ventolin inhalers (the ugly blue ones) in the past. They worked 100% of the time and saved me from many attacks. Since using pro air, I have to take it 3 times as much even with my regular daily maintenance inhaler. It is making my asthma worse. I need it so I use it. Hours later need more again. The taste is horrific, and the puff is weak at best going into my body. Currently bypassing taking it at all and using my nebulizer to take albuterol/ventolin now, haven't had to bust that noisy thing out in a long time. Just prescribed ventolin hfa, now I can breathe. Proair hfa is garbage compared to ventolin.

I've used inhalers since they first were on the market. My two complaints with ProAir are the cost due to the EPA junk imposed and cost. It works fantastically, but the there should be more medication in the canister, or the cost should be significantly cheaper.

I'm a bit confused by all the reviews claiming the in haler is difficult to use, clogs, etc. I've never had any issue or difficulty with clogging, nor with using the inhaler. My only complaints are with some of the side effects, including raised blood pressure which leaves my hands tingling and makes me lightheaded and unable to sleep if I take it at night; and I sometimes will get small sores in the back of my mouth or throat after using it, but if I gargle and rinse immediately after using, it seems to help prevent this. Overall, though, the bottom line is that when I'm having trouble breathing, this medication has never failed to clear it up quickly, and that is worth the side effects for me. Read More Read Less

Very dissatisfied with Proair. Container is extremely difficult to handle for immediate use. The first puff doesn't release properly. Then I "waste a puff by throwing it into midair" and then try again to get relief. My insurance company made the switch to my medication. I am now requesting to go back on my former medication.

This is one of the worst asthmas inhalers I have ever used the medicine may be good but the inhalant to push the medicine out is mediocre. If you are having an asthma attack you need an inhalant that pushes the medicine out this is useless compared to Proventil & Ventolin.

My meter reads 38 but is empty, not a good thing
