Did nothing for cough from Bronchitis- ribs hurt from coughing.

Instant nausea, stomach cramps and diarrhea. Zero improvement in cough. This stuff does not work for me at all, I won't take it again.

my cough was into its third week with no relief in sight even the cough syrup with codeine wasn't doing the trick, the strength of my cough made my head go into a fog and when driving it got scarry. my doctor said some people think this med works and some don't, but in my case, I was going to try anything. well, I give this med 5 stars as it silenced my cough after the second dose., I know it was working because when I finished the prescription, my cough was back, nowhere close to the earlier cough but it was there. i would gladly recommend this as in my case, it was a god send. I've been taking Bezonatate for 7 days. This drug helped my cough a little bit but it hasn't helped clear my lungs of mucus. It did cause diarrhea and stomach cramps. Gotta be something better.

Have the Flu high fever, severe body aches, nonstop coughing. I was tired of dry coughing. I took 2 tylenol and 1benzonatate at the same time with water. Within 20 min my coughing stopped and I slept all night. My aches and pains went away. When they returned they were less intense so I repeated the procedure. My coughing is almost gone the 4rth day. .

Going on 6 weeks with dry cough. They insist this garbage medication works but it hasn't done ANYTHING! I actually cough more and my lungs hurt from the cough. They did a scan recently and said everything looks ok but that the cough would go away this time and gave me another 10 day cycle of this medication. I completed the cycle and guess what? Nothing again.. Never will I take this med in my life can we rate this under very poor please? Make a new category thanks!

Coughing constantly nothing could stop it. The doctor prescribed this and it works well.

Ive been taking this medicine for cough due to Influenza A and it hasnt done anything for me except make everything i drink or try to eat taste like soap. Havent been able to eat in 3 days because of the taste making me want to puke everytime i put anything in my mouth to drink or eat. Even cough drops taste like soap.

Did nothing for my cough from bronchitis

I have a persistent cough from Covid that is not allowing me to sleep and also causing vomiting from the intensity. I asked my doctor for help and she prescribed benzonatate. First dose last night and the cough stayed calm and I had the best sleep in five days!

Have been taking this medicine for 5 days, cannot tell that it has help any.

It didn't seem to do anything. I took it three times per day, just like it said to do, but ... nothing. On the bright side, I didn't have any negative side effects. I just didn't have any effects at all -- positive or negative. And the pills are small and easy to swallow with something to drink.

after 1 dose- I have started to cough more with this medication. I have experienced more phlegm as well but I guess "better out than in" like Shrek says. I don't know if I should give it a few more doses or not.

Took this for bronchitis, coughed all night long before I got this, finally went to ER, this medicine work quickly and my cough was gone. First day took 3 times for coughing, second day only at night so I could sleep, woke up not feeling tired or sore rib cage. Not taking during day so I can cough some phlegm up. Will do the same if I need to, definitely worth 5 stars.

Absolutely no help with cough!!

I would like to know why doctors prescribe this medication for someone w an upper respiratory infection. It never works, I get headaches. Horrible medicine.

Benzonatate had absolutely no effect on my cough.

I was prescribed this medication after testing positive for the Flu. I have had a terrible cough with lots of phlegm for the last 4 days, but this medication has done nothing for me. My coughing is so bad it’s created little tears in my throat, so even drinking water burns, and Benzonatate has given me no relief. If you’re sick with a cold or flu, do yourself a favor and ask the doctor for something else.

After years of seasonal allergies I was prescribed benzonatate. It worked better than any cough medication I’ve taken. Like any medication you have to give it time. I was much better after a couple of days

Doctor prescribed to help with spasms of coughing and night coughing due to pneumonia. Have been taking a night for three nights, and often have had to take a second one during the night. Does help me fall asleep but does nothing to relieve the coughing that wakes up again. Cough is constant, day and night. Also might be contributing to the general "dullness" I am experiencing.
